Stora Tuna är ett stadsnära landskap i Borlänges utkant. Området har som många andra liknande områden en utvecklad grönstruktur, en rik kulturhistoria och än så länge en begränsad utbyggnad av bostäder, verksamheter och industrier. Med tiden har intressen kommit fram för att bebygga vissa delar och området står idag inför ett avgörande hur det ska utvecklas. Utgångspunkten för examensarbetet har varit att utreda vilken typ av landskap som är önskvärt runt våra expanderande städer och tätorter, genom exemplet Stora Tuna. Stora Tuna är ett område som ligger strax fem kilometer söder om Borlänge centrum och som från olika intressenter kan vara aktuellt för bland annat ny bebyggelse. Problemet som framkommit är att området saknar en aktuell plan och strategi som talar om i vilken riktning området ska utvecklas.

The question is who should govern and administrate a municipality owned urban forest? Should societies and the public be invited to participatory planning, who are the interested parties, could they be treated like a group and what are their opinions on administration and management? The study is carried out in a municipal owned forest Vitberget Skellefteå that is widely used by associations and individuals for recreation and training.This has led to several discussions in the local media about the management of the forest, especially in connection to harvesting. The work undertaken here has been to identify who has any interest in the management of the area. After identifying the interested parties, a selection of the societies, schools and pre-schools that actively uses the area as well as random individuals met in the area was interviewed. The questions asked can be divided into six main groups:? Communication with the municipality?s managers for the area? Interference from other activities? Views on forest management? Views on nature conservation? The uniqueness of Vitberget? Development opportunitiesThe crucial factors identified as being needed to succeed in managing an urban forest are long-term administration, information and communication.

Syftet med denna kandidatuppsats är att studera hur den Olympiska parken i Peking respektive London planeras för att hantera de Olympiska spelen samt hur de planerats för att användas efteråt. Vidare är syftet att se vilka förutsättningar och vilken problematik som därefter uppstår. Undersökningen har skett genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av den Olympiska parken i Peking respektive London. Resultatet från studien har därefter analyserats och diskuterats utifrån ett par teoretiska huvudpunkter som är viktiga vid planeringen av mega-event. Use of lighting is crucial to make public urban places available during dark hours. Landscape architects participate in planning of lighting, but during our education there is very little taught on the subject. Through this study we approach the subject of lighting by looking into lighting methods for urban plant materials during winter. In this thesis we look into ways to emphasize the visible characters and experiences of urban plants during winter season using light. Target audience are landscape architect students and landscape architects without knowledge of lighting. The part of the thesis that describe basic conditions for, and visual characters of plants can be useful to lighting designers without knowledge in this subject. Working methods used were the following: ? Pre-study about light and lighting techniques through literature and dialogues. ? Compiling important visual winter plant characters through photography and literature. ? Outdoor light experiments with plants.

 The sawmill industry is a relative fragmented industry that is in an economic upswing andwith a hard competition. The customers have high demands on their suppliers and the highcustomer demand make it necessary for the companies to make a streamlining in planningand production. For that reason it is very important that the planning- and productionprocesses aren?t to complex and with a simple structure.The purpose of this report is to study and map out a marked out part of a planning- andproduction process, from adjust works to final delivery, at a company in the sawmill industry.Different methods have been used for the report, among others interviews and subordinatedmaterial.We have mapped out a marked out part of the planning- and production process at theCompany. This part we have studied, and we have analysed the process it self and otherthings connected to the process.We see the planning- and production process in the Company as complex.

Visby is a city that at first glance is of medieval origins. The popular image of scientists today is that the city was formed in the Middle Ages. According to some of the researchers Visby was formed during the Viking Age, it is based on the basis that the area has been used for a long period. Urban development in the Nordic countries is complex and there are different opinions as to why the Nordic cities emerge. It is important to shed light on the underlying process on why cities are emerging to provide clarity as to why Visby city is emerging.

Hur medborgarna kan påverka sin närmiljö och den lokala utvecklingen genom den översiktliga planeringen står i centrum för detta examensarbete. För att undersöka saken har en studie gjorts på tre öar utan broförbindelse i den svenska skärgården. Öarna Koster i Strömstads kommun, Dyrön i Tjörns kommun och Holmön i Umeå kommun skiljs åt, till viss del, vad gäller befolkningasantal, yta och avstånd till fastlandet medan likheten består av beroendet av färjeförbindelser och en starkt engagerad befolkning. De bofasta visar dessutom upp, genom hemsidor och litteratur, sitt medborgerliga engagemang för lokala utvecklingsfrågor. Med hjälp av respektive kommuns översiktsplan / fördjupning av översiktsplanen samt information från respektive lokal utvecklingsgrupp har jag följt processen från vison till genomförande. Dessutom har jag tittat på hur de lokala utvecklingsgrupperna och samarbetet med kommunerna har fungerat..

Projektet är en strategi för att stegvis uppgradera och förstärka offentliga delar av Holma i Malmö, i takt med att området byggs ut med nya bostadskvarter. Arbetet tar sin grund i vikten av spontana och planerade möten mellan människor, utgående från möjligheterna i strukturen av ett bostadsområde från senare delen av miljonprogrammet. Punktvisa ingrepp innefattar ett Folkets hus, en cykelpump, ett område för urban odling samt tillförsel av lokaler för publika funktioner i marknivå..

Every plan and program decided on by an authority or municipality, where the environmental impact can be considerable, must be environmentally assessed according to Environmental Code, the Planning and Building Act (PBA) and the Regulation on Environmental Impact Assessment.The purpose of this study is to examine the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for The Region Development Plan for the Stockholm Region, RUFS 2010. The plan was approved by at that time the Regional Planning Office (Regionplanekontoret), which procured the process by consultants. RUFS 2010 includes two merged plans ie. a regional Development Plan (RUP) and the Regional Spatial Plan for Stockholm. It was necessary to establish an environmental assessment of RUP, but not for the regional plan.

Denna rapport behandlar utvärdering av urbana ekosystemtjänster på stadsdelsnivå. Eftersom ökad urbanisering leder till ökad belastning på urbana ekosystem är det viktigt att både exploatering och etablering av grönområden sker på ett hållbart sätt där ekologiska, sociala och ekonomiska faktorer inkluderas. Detta kan delvis uppnås genom att villkor i verktyg och certifieringssystem inkluderar aspekter för urbana ekosystemtjänster. Det undersökts hur certifieringssystemen BREEAM Communities och CASBEE for Urban Development samt verktyget Grönytefaktormetoden behandlar sådana urbana ekosystemtjänster. Analysen utgår från en föreslagen kategorisering av urbana ekosystemtjänster.

By doing a study of Stapelbäddsparken from a gender perspective I have been investigating and analysing physical planning and landscape architectural design. My intention with this thesis is to reflect on what a gender perspective in physical planning means and what kind of consequences and effects it could have on physical planning and outdoor design. Gender is something that is created, moulded and transformed by social and cultural processes. And it also includes a dimension of power concerning the knowledge of the relationships between women and men where the standard in today?s society is still men?s interests. To implement gender in my analysis of the park I have been observing how the park is used and who is using it. I have also been investigating who?s needs and wishes that has been provided for in planning and design.

En utbyggnad av shared space har skett och sker runt om i Sverige, Europa och övriga världen. Utbyggnaden har föranlett en debatt kring ämnet som handlar om stadens funktion och om människors tillgång till staden utifrån sina villkor. Det finns ett kunskapsbehov i kommunal planering när det gäller utformning och val av plats för shared space, vilket är en av anledningarna till examensarbetet. Syftet är att formulera och pröva en arbetsmodell som kan vara vägledande i arbetet med etablering av shared space, där fokus ligger på prioriteringar mellan användare och begreppen: stadens karaktär, tillgänglighet, trygghet, trafiksäkerhet och miljö. Dessa utgör kvalitetsbegreppen i planerarhandboken; Trafik för en attraktiv stad.

Due to a constantly increasing competitive pressure it is of great importance to constantly strive for improvements in order to gain competitive advantages. Lean Production is a concept that has been introduced with the aim to minimize waste and increase profitability. The purpose of this report is therefore to investigate how to perform effective planning according to the principles of Lean Production, in companys with customer exclusive products, through a case study at Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC), and to investigate how SMC kan improve their planning of drifting rods at the production unit in Sandviken.The study started by creating a theoretical framework, to describe the subject planning and planning based on Lean Production. This frame work constituted the base for the case study which took place at Sandvik Mining and Construction, and also for the model and planning tool that has been introduced.The result of the study is partly a general model with factors that contribute to a more effective planning. These factors has beed identifed as SMED, which focuses on reducing set up times and in the end to facilitate the planning.

Hedström Tom, Care planning teams. Advantages and disadvantages. Examination work C-level, 15 hp, Malmö Högskola, Health and society, Social works program, autumn semester 2009. The purpose of my work was to find out what the advantages and disadvantages might be with a care planning team from a support administrators point of view. The data collection for this work was done by semi-structured qualitative interviews with five people, all working as support administrators within the social services in the same region and town in Sweden. In my choice of interviewees i have tried to get such a diverse mix as possible when it comes to the interviewees experience in the profession and experience with care plannings.

This report describes the process of outlining a design proposal for a resource planning tool for TV post-production. A feasibility study in form of a participant observation has been carried out on-site, which has resulted in a requirement specification. Based on the requirement specification, mockups have been created to illustrate the functions and features that a final planning tool should have. In addition to developing a design proposal, an evaluation of the existing resource planning tool Ganttic has been conducted. Ganttic has been reviewed based on how well it meets the list of requirements.
