En stor del av varje individs klimatavtryck bestÄr av den mat vi konsumerar. Eftersom det serveras en stor mÀngd portioner varje dag runt om i landets skolor anser vi det intressant att studera hur pass klimatanpassad skolmaten Àr idag. Hur ser skolornas miljöarbete ut och finns det förbÀttrande ÄtgÀrder som kan genomföras pÄ omrÄdet? Vi har valt att fokusera vÄrt arbete pÄ den serverade mÀngden kött och fisk pÄ tre grundskolor, en kommunal och tvÄ privata, i Uppsala kommun liksom ursprunget hos dessa animalier. Intervjuer utfördes med ansvariga för upphandling och kostplanering pÄ kommunen, skolkökspersonal samt elever.

This study aims to delineate the discourse of the canonical issue of the defectus natalium, the defect of birth, ascribed to medieval Catholic clergy of illegitimate birth, which prevented ordination to the Holy Orders or advancement to higher monastic offices. Using papal dispensations directed to Swedish clerics, monks and nuns during the period 1255-1372, the essay attempts to outline the official attitude of the papal authority towards illegitimate birth among its servants and how such a defect could be compensated by the individual. The study argues that various circumstances and personal qualities could be addressed to support the case of the supplicant. The main themes include an observance of clerical celibacy, scholarly learning, pilgrimage permeated by hardship, intervention of a third party, loyalty to the Church and overall practical circumstances that demanded a dispensation for the benefit of the ecclesiastical institutions. Drawing some inspiration from Michel Foucault?s conception of discourse, the essay argues that a polarizing discourse had by the 13th century been formed within the Catholic Church, which focused on a dichotomy of the legitimate and illegitimate cleric.

 This thesis aims to through certain parts of the brand equity investigate the trust of consumers for a brand that recently experienced a product-harm crisis. It also wants to investigate why this trust exist, if it does. Structured interviews were carried out at 60 respondents in Uppsala. The results show that the respondents have positive associations with ICA, they think that ICA maintains a high quality on their products and services and that 50% more often choose to do their grocery shopping at ICA. The conclusion of the study is that ICA has a strong brand equity resulting in brand trust from consumers, which is founded in the brand reliability and brand intentions of the company. .

This thesis is a case study of the search function on the University of Uppsala?s web site. The search function in this study was chosen since it exists on a large and complex web site and there were apparent lacks in the old version of the search function. The thesis highlights some of the problems that can appear in the development of a search function on a local site. One interesting find is that one of the most difficult issues is organizational and not technical.

Nathan Söderblom, Swedish archbishop 1914 - 1931, understands his role as bishop from an integrated theological conception that episcopacy is a gift to the church and the apostolic succession a heritage of utmost value. Episcopacy is an important tool to make the churches come together. in his work for peace during the Great War it was through his position without any power that he could approach the politicians. His calling was not only for Sweden; he had a responsibility for the whole world. In the Ecumenical Cope for the 1925 Stockholm meeting Söderblom expressed his views on the importance of the Uppsala see.

This study aims to evaluate the value relevance of Piotroski?s (2000) nine fundamental signals. In order to do this, the signals are tested on the OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm between the years 2003 and 2009. The hypotheses of the study are whether the signals are value relevant and if the value relevance has changed. To test this, a Chi-square test and a regression are used.

Det hÀr Àr en studie av mikro- och smÄföretag inom Uppsala lÀn som syftar att bidra till bÀttre kunskap och ökad förstÄelse för hur dessa bolag hanterar sin löpande bokföring. Den kvantitativa enkÀtundersökning som ligger till grund för studien omfattar 163 bolag. De ombads svara pÄ frÄgor angÄende hur de hanterar sin löpande bokföring, om de anvÀnder bokföringssystem samt vilken av parametrarna kotroll, kostnad och kunskap som var viktigast i beslutet om hanteringen av den löpande bokföringen. Samtliga bolag hade mellan 0-49 anstÀllda och delades in i tre kategorier A, B och C, beroende pÄ antalet anstÀllda. Detta för att kunna se skillnader och göra jÀmförelser mellan bolag i olika storlek.

The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affecting an individual's working life mobility and how this mobility is perceived by the individual. The study has a qualitative approach and the theoretical part is based on Castells', Giddens' and Bauman's theories of modern society and employment in relation to the individual. The study concludes that external circumstances in combination with internal driving forces are the reasons behind changing careers. The process is predominantly perceived as positive, especially education tends to strengthen self-identity. ABSTRACT This study is an exam work at the Department of Ecology at the Swedish Agricultural University, Ultuna, Uppsala. The field work was performed in the counties of Uppsala and VĂ€stmanland. Grassland areas, exposed to annual mowing, are known to host a variety of rare and red-listed vascular species. The area of these grassland are, however, decreasing in the landscape due to modern farming. The fact that roadside verges maintain regular mowing has proven to be a successful concept for many rare vascular plant species in this habitat. Vascular plants along roadside verges at the State road network were inventoried due to a government mandate during 1995 and 1996. As a result ?Species rich roadsides? were pointed out.
