Bakgrund: Kontrastmedelsinducerade allergiska reaktioner inom radiologin ?r s?llsynta men kan orsaka allvarlig v?rdskada. D? allvarliga allergiska reaktioner (AAR) ?r ovanliga har r?ntgenpersonal inom radiologin begr?nsad erfarenhet av att hantera dessa situationer. Syfte: Syftet var att identifiera kompetensh?jande insatser och hj?lpmedel samt vilken inverkan de har p? r?ntgenpersonalens beredskap inom radiologin att hantera AAR i samband med administrering av kontrastmedel.

At the end of April 1986 reactor number 4 of the nuclear power plant at Chernobyl explod-ed and large amounts of radioactive particles were then released into the atmosphere due to both the explosion as well as the consecutive fire of the graphite core. A cloud of radioac-tivity was spread over the northern hemisphere, including Sweden, due to the prevailing wind directions. The radioactive particles were washed out from the cloud by rain and snowfall in some areas of Sweden and deposited on the ground. The deposited radionu-clides, primarily cesium and iodine isotopes, were later absorbed into the soil and taken up by the roots of the plants. Some of these radionuclides, like 137Cs, still persist in some of the terrestrial ecosystems at relatively high concentrations which lead to contamination of the meat of moose, roe deer and wild boar even today.The two municipalities Heby and Uppsala, in the eastern part of central Sweden, experi-enced a relatively large deposition of 137Cs which resulted in high levels of 137Cs in moose and other game.

A Road project?s frame is built up of a decision- and consultation process, where the results of the preparatory studies are being discussed. The aim with a consultation process is that all theopinions and knowledge from the operators' will be taken into count in the basis of information, that is needed in order to the different involved operators' to take a decision.The aim of the essay was to investigate how the decision- and consultation process for a road project, the E4 section between Uppsala LĂ€by, turned out. The aim is also to bring up how theprocess could have been done more correctly. The study was carried out through a qualitative method with an analysis of materials from the National Road Administration's archives, the associated Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and through interviews of the different operators.My theoretical basis has been a Stakeholder Analysis and its principles, and theory about different executions of social planning.The result showed that the decision- and consultation process has been bursting in democracy and consideration taking of the different operators' opinions, has been poor from the developer?s, in this case the National Road Administration's, side.

Borna disease virus (BDV) is a virus with capability to cause neurological disease in several species of mammals and of ostriches. Also humans are suspected to be susceptible to the virus, as the viral RNA and antibodies against BDV have been found in some humans with psychiatric diseases, like schizophrenia and depression. In Sweden there is a disease called staggering disease in cats, associated to BDV-infection. This disease often has a fatal progress. Definite diagnosis is reached by histo-pathological and immunohistochemical examination of the central nervous system.

Two students carried out the diploma work at GE HealthcareHusbyborg in Uppsala.The aim of the diploma work was to develop and improve existing processequipment for 11C-radiochemistry in PET. The process equipment was to be dividedinto smaller independent modules to make it more flexible. Part of the existingprocess equipment is an oven that is supposed to perform a specific chemicalreaction. One of the main goals was to study and improve this oven.The work could be divided into three main phases: 1.Present concepts for one module, and interface between different modules.

Det ?r en kvalitativ studie vars syfte ?r att ta reda p? mellan- och h?gstadiel?rares tankar kring dialogisk undervisning och hur l?rare anser att speciall?rare med specialisering mot matematikutveckling kan hj?lpa dem att implementera mer dialog i deras dagliga matematikundervisning. Begreppet dialogisk undervisning ?r f?rankrat i sociokulturell teori enligt vilken l?rande sker i en social praxis och spr?ket ses som det viktigaste, men inte det enda redskapet i kunskapsmediering. Denna studie har en fenomenologisk forskningsansats i och med att den unders?ker matematikl?rares f?rst?else och levda erfarenheter av ett dialogiskt undervisningsfenomen.

AnstÀlldas sjukfrÄnvaro beror till större del pÄ stressrelaterade sjukdomar. Det finns tidigare studier som visar pÄ samband mellan stress och dÄlig hÀlsa, men mindre forskning som berör hur stress uppkommer, och sÀrskilt hur ekonomiska styrmedel kan pÄverka stress. Denna studies syfte Àr att utforska hur styrmedel kan pÄverka arbetsrelaterade stressdrivare, sÄ kallade stressorer. De styrmedel som undersökts Àr cybernetiska och administrativa styrmedel och pÄ dessa har den sÄ kallade Krav-Kontroll-Stöd-modellen anvÀnts. En fallstudie har genomförts med kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer pÄ tvÄ olika produktionsavdelningar inom Uppsala kommun.

Flustret is a restaurant and an entertainment place situated by Svandammen in Uppsala. It all began in 1842 as a café serving coffee, tea, chocolate and pastry. During the years the building has had numbers of different owners. The owners of today are running Flustret in a same friendly spirit that has been characteristic from the beginning. The buldings history is now approaching an age of 165 years. Throughout the years different historical layers have been placed on top of each other, leaving a layer of patches.

The 26th of February 2009 the Swedish government gave a referral to the council of lawregarding the removal of a law concerning mandatory membership at a student union andstudent nation while studying at a university or college in Sweden. This has led to adiscussion amongst the student nations in Uppsala as to how this proposed change will affectthe nations? future operations. Some, including the chairwoman for Kuratorskonventet,Therez Olsson, and the 1Q for Norrland?s student nation, Jon Stridh, have expressed theirworries that this could lead to a decrease in members.

The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) promotes the Ecosystem Approach (EA). In this thesis it is analyzed how the EA approach could be applied to regional management of coastal areas in Sweden. The aim of this report is to compare management for preserving biodiversity on a landscape level in two regional coastal areas in Uppsala and VÀstra Götaland respectively. In Uppsala, one of the plans consists of a previous nature reserve and in VÀstra Götaland, a Regional landscape strategy has been established. The ecosystem approach is used as a theoretical framework in this thesis.

NÀr en organisation vÀljer att implementera ett affÀrssystem, leder det till en stor teknologisk förÀndring, men Àven en stor organisationsförÀndring. Det faller sig dÄ naturligt att implementeringen kommer att ge intryck pÄ organisationens övriga verksamhet. Uppsatsen redogör för om och hur de anstÀllda i en organisation, som implementerat ett affÀrssystem, upplever förÀndring i sina arbetsroller samt i organisationens styrning. Arbetsroller inkluderar bÄde de anstÀlldas arbetsuppgifter samt deras relationer till kollegor. En fallstudie har gjorts pÄ LantmÀnnen Cerealia Uppsala, dÀr detta undersökts ur ett lednings- och avdelningsperspektiv.

Uppsalas nya konstmuseum har fÄtt sina proportioner frÄn det som redan innan fanns pÄ platsen. Godsmagasinet, en lÄg avlÄng tegelbyggnad frÄn 1908, har gett det nya museet dess form. Magasinet och museet strÀcker ut sig lÀngs varandra. Mellan dem byggs ett nytt torg pÄ vad som tidigare var en parkeringsplats. I bÄda Àndarna av byggnaderna leder trappor upp till torget som Àr upphöjt en bit ovanför trotoaren, i samma höjd som godsmagasinets gamla lastkaj. Idag inrymmer magasinet ett kafé, tvÄ butiker och en jazzklubb.

HÀlsans Stig Àr ett koncept för en promenad- och motionsslinga som i Sverige initieras av HjÀrt- och Lungsjukas Riksförbund tillsammans med landets kommuner. De har i dagslÀget anlagt 110 stigar i stÀder runtom i landet. Stigen anlÀggs för att uppmuntra mÀnniskor i alla Äldrar till att motionera samt att förebygga hjÀrtkÀrlsjukdomar. Syftet med kandidatuppsatsen Àr att undersöka hur konceptet HÀlsans Stig kan appliceras pÄ en svensk stad. Ett förslag pÄ var i staden stigen kan placeras och dras presenteras. Jag valde Uppsala som plats eftersom staden idag saknar denna stig.
