Denna fallstudie beskriver hur kunskap tar sig i uttryck och sprids mellan medarbetare pÄ Nordeas telefonbank för privatkunder i Uppsala. För att analysera hur kunskap sprids har Nonakas SEKI modell för kunskapsöverföring anvÀnts som beskriver hur kunskap kan spridas genom fyra olika kanaler: socialisering, externalisering, internalisering och kombinering. Resultatet bygger pÄ en kvantitativ enkÀtundersökning dÀr 32 medarbetare deltog samt en kvalitativ intervju med Nordea Uppsalas personalchef och utbildningssamordnare. Innan undersökningen genomfördes formulerades tre hypoteser i avsikt att utreda 1) Om majoriteten av kunskapen som sprids mellan respondenterna i urvalet Àr implicit 2) Om det finns en skillnad mellan hur mÀn och kvinnor tar till sig och sprider kunskap och 3) Om medarbetare med lÀngre erfarenhet besitter mer implicit kunskap. Resultatet visar att majoriteten av den kunskap som sprids Àr explicit, att det finns en skillnad mellan hur mÀn och kvinnor tar till sig och sprider kunskap och att medarbetare med lÀngre erfarenhet besitter mer implicit kunskap.

In the urban planning debate of today, two strategies for city development stand out as each other's opposites, urban sprawl and smart growth. This thesis concerns a development project of the latter kind and aims to give an alternative proposal to new buildings and a park in a Swedish city block. The term sprawl is used for new developments on virgin soil on the outskirts of cities leading to a city spreading, while smart growth stand for increased city density through development on re-used land within the city boundaries. The latter are often seen as more sustainable in many levels and are also shown to have positive effects on a number of city functions. At the same time smart growth has negative consequences on other aspects of the city such as public open spaces.

Syftet med denna studie Àr att analysera vad som stödjer och vad som hindrar genomförandet av förÀndringar inom sjukhusverksamhet. Ett av de omrÄden som har varit berörda av förÀndringar under de senaste decennierna Àr svensk sjukvÄrd, som trots sin komplexitet behöver utvecklas för att möta befolkningens behov samt efterfrÄgan pÄ hög kvalitet och effektivitet. FörÀndringsprojekt ?BÀttre flyt pÄ opererande verksamheter III? som har genomförts pÄ thoraxkirurgiska kliniken vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala presenteras. Studien inriktar sig pÄ de faktorer som har pÄverkat klinikens förÀndringsarbete.Studien baseras pÄ en kvalitativ forskningsmetod och bygger pÄ semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex personer vilka pÄ olika sÀtt varit inblandade i genomförandet av förÀndringsprojektet.En teoretisk referensram utformades.

SammanfattningI denna studie undersöker jag vilken syn bistÄndshandlÀggarna och enhetscheferna har pÄ avlönad anhörigvÄrd och hur denna anhöriganstÀllning pÄverkar situationen för de anhöriga. Jag vÀljer i min studie att fokusera pÄ konsekvenser av anhöriganstÀllning för en person som vÄrdar sin anhörig och som ingÄr i begreppet invandrare. Jag har anvÀnt mig av en kvalitativ studie och har intervjuat fem myndighetspersoner i Uppsala. I studien reflekterar och analyserar jag myndighetspersonernas Äsikter med utgÄngspunkt i det teoretiska perspektivet KASAM ? KÀnsla Av SAMmanhang och Social utbytesteori.Resultaten visar pÄ en utbredd negativ syn pÄ anhöriganstÀllning hos myndighetspersoner, detta grundar sig pÄ deras mÄngÄriga erfarenhet av anhöriganstÀllning och de problem som anhöriga möter i dagligt arbete som till exempel tunga lyft, bundenhet, yrkets lÄga status, men mitt resultat visar ocksÄ pÄ den stora brist av information kring anhöriganstÀllning som rÄder i Uppsala.

At the end of April 1986 reactor number 4 of the nuclear power plant at Chernobyl explod-ed and large amounts of radioactive particles were then released into the atmosphere due to both the explosion as well as the consecutive fire of the graphite core. A cloud of radioac-tivity was spread over the northern hemisphere, including Sweden, due to the prevailing wind directions. The radioactive particles were washed out from the cloud by rain and snowfall in some areas of Sweden and deposited on the ground. The deposited radionu-clides, primarily cesium and iodine isotopes, were later absorbed into the soil and taken up by the roots of the plants. Some of these radionuclides, like 137Cs, still persist in some of the terrestrial ecosystems at relatively high concentrations which lead to contamination of the meat of moose, roe deer and wild boar even today.The two municipalities Heby and Uppsala, in the eastern part of central Sweden, experi-enced a relatively large deposition of 137Cs which resulted in high levels of 137Cs in moose and other game.

A Road project?s frame is built up of a decision- and consultation process, where the results of the preparatory studies are being discussed. The aim with a consultation process is that all theopinions and knowledge from the operators' will be taken into count in the basis of information, that is needed in order to the different involved operators' to take a decision.The aim of the essay was to investigate how the decision- and consultation process for a road project, the E4 section between Uppsala LĂ€by, turned out. The aim is also to bring up how theprocess could have been done more correctly. The study was carried out through a qualitative method with an analysis of materials from the National Road Administration's archives, the associated Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and through interviews of the different operators.My theoretical basis has been a Stakeholder Analysis and its principles, and theory about different executions of social planning.The result showed that the decision- and consultation process has been bursting in democracy and consideration taking of the different operators' opinions, has been poor from the developer?s, in this case the National Road Administration's, side.

Borna disease virus (BDV) is a virus with capability to cause neurological disease in several species of mammals and of ostriches. Also humans are suspected to be susceptible to the virus, as the viral RNA and antibodies against BDV have been found in some humans with psychiatric diseases, like schizophrenia and depression. In Sweden there is a disease called staggering disease in cats, associated to BDV-infection. This disease often has a fatal progress. Definite diagnosis is reached by histo-pathological and immunohistochemical examination of the central nervous system.

Two students carried out the diploma work at GE HealthcareHusbyborg in Uppsala.The aim of the diploma work was to develop and improve existing processequipment for 11C-radiochemistry in PET. The process equipment was to be dividedinto smaller independent modules to make it more flexible. Part of the existingprocess equipment is an oven that is supposed to perform a specific chemicalreaction. One of the main goals was to study and improve this oven.The work could be divided into three main phases: 1.Present concepts for one module, and interface between different modules.

AnstÀlldas sjukfrÄnvaro beror till större del pÄ stressrelaterade sjukdomar. Det finns tidigare studier som visar pÄ samband mellan stress och dÄlig hÀlsa, men mindre forskning som berör hur stress uppkommer, och sÀrskilt hur ekonomiska styrmedel kan pÄverka stress. Denna studies syfte Àr att utforska hur styrmedel kan pÄverka arbetsrelaterade stressdrivare, sÄ kallade stressorer. De styrmedel som undersökts Àr cybernetiska och administrativa styrmedel och pÄ dessa har den sÄ kallade Krav-Kontroll-Stöd-modellen anvÀnts. En fallstudie har genomförts med kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer pÄ tvÄ olika produktionsavdelningar inom Uppsala kommun.

Flustret is a restaurant and an entertainment place situated by Svandammen in Uppsala. It all began in 1842 as a café serving coffee, tea, chocolate and pastry. During the years the building has had numbers of different owners. The owners of today are running Flustret in a same friendly spirit that has been characteristic from the beginning. The buldings history is now approaching an age of 165 years. Throughout the years different historical layers have been placed on top of each other, leaving a layer of patches.

This has led to adiscussion amongst the student nations in Uppsala as to how this proposed change will affectthe nations? future operations. The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) promotes the Ecosystem Approach (EA). In this thesis it is analyzed how the EA approach could be applied to regional management of coastal areas in Sweden. The aim of this report is to compare management for preserving biodiversity on a landscape level in two regional coastal areas in Uppsala and VÀstra Götaland respectively. In Uppsala, one of the plans consists of a previous nature reserve and in VÀstra Götaland, a Regional landscape strategy has been established. The ecosystem approach is used as a theoretical framework in this thesis.
