The analysis focused on four themes: 1) framing in the articles, 2) impersonation in the articles, 3) the democratic task of journalism and 4) the expectations of journalism in an election campaign.Main results: The main results showed that the difference between the two parties either was nonexistent or very small. The articles were sometimes framed in specific ways, but a big amount of the articles were not framed. Impersonation occurred in about half of the cases, concerning both parties.

Detta arbete presenterar en attitydundersökning där elever från en stad jämförs med eleverfrån landsbygd i fråga om attityder till utbildning. Arbetet är en komparativattitydundersökning där stad och landsbygd ställs mot varandra. Analysen, om vadskillnaderna beror på, utgår från Pierre Bourdieus teori angående kapital och habitus.Metoden är kvantitativ och en enkät har använts för att på bästa sätt uppfylla arbetets syfteoch frågeställningar. Totalt har 127 elever från årskurs nio deltagit varav 67 är pojkar och 60är flickor. 36 elever kommer från Uppsala kommun (stad) och 91 elever kommer från Hebykommun (landsbygd).Syftet med detta arbete är att bidra med kunskap angående elevers attityder till skolgång,betyg och önskan om högre utbildning och hur dessa attityder skiljer sig åt i stad respektivelandsbygd.

In a world of ?formal organizations?, which is constantly exposed for institutionalized super standards and ideas of a what a modern orgnization should be like, the pressure for changes are strong. This is the environment in which Lund University finds itself. Ideas in the beginning of the 21-century is concerning a stronger emfasis on steering, centralisation, re-hieriarchyzation, standardised processes and a new regulation concerning internal control. Through theories of new institutionalism, with conceptions as organizational identity and the expectations of adapting to new ideas, can you track the translation and adaptation that the ideas go through at the university- a decentralised organization where not only freedom has been a concept for the academic parts, but also for the administration.

The aim of the study is to evaluate how a law decided 2002 regarding discrimination against students in the higher education system in Sweden, was implemented at the University of Kalmar and Växjö University.The study asks two questions: How did the both universities implement the law? How did the universities manage to implement the law? In order to answer these questions the ?top-down? perspective, often used in field social science within discipline implementation, is used. First the study examines the goals with the legislation, and thereafter the actual implementation at the both examined universities.The conclusion is that the universities has high ambitions with implementation of the law and extensive formalized regulations but that it practically seems to be hard to get legitimacy with the implementation throughout the whole organizations. This makes the implementation work slowly though it?s working well with the people who have direct responsibility for the implementation..

Bakgrund: Sedan mitten på 1900-talet har många faktorer kommit att påverka organisationers sätt att samordna och organisera sig. Förändringstryck såsom expanderade organisationer ledde till företags och organisationers ökade behov av ledning och styrning för att bli mer effektiva, vilket resulterade i nya styrningsverktyg som kunde hantera dessa förändringar. Ett av dessa var det balanserade styrkortet som denna uppsats kommer att behandla. Det balanserade styrkortet kom att bli ett populärt styrverktyg inom den offentliga sektorn, speciellt inom hälso- och sjukvården. De finns dock ett flertal forskare som hävdar att det balanserade styrkortet inte har kapacitet att hantera den offentliga sektorns komplexitet och heterogena utformning.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och förklara hur balanserade styrkort införts i Folktandvården i Uppsala län.

Environmental issues are global problems and they are a major challenge for any successful organizational business worldwide. Many challenges and opportunities emerge during the certification process of an EMS. Therefore it is interesting to contribute in understanding these emerging problems during this process.The aim of this study is to explore how the environmental objectives could be achieved at preschools in Uppsala, investigate the perceived challenges and opportunities and to identify the outcome of implementing the ISO 14001, Green Flag at such set up.A qualitative method is used and three Green Flag certified preschools, affiliated to the Uppsala Municipality and located at different geographical location were selected. A structured interview with the environmental representatives from the preschools and the municipality was completed. The so-called PDCA-cycle as a method of evaluating sustainable development and analysing the imperial data is used.The study showed that environmental certification constitutes a great challenge for the municipality of Uppsala.

I denna studie undersöks Uppsala universitets kommunikationsstrategier från mitten av 2000-talet till och med 2010. Kommunikationsstrategierna undersöks utifrån ett nyinstitutionellt perspektiv, för att studera hur institutionellt tryck som marknadisering kommit att påverka dessa. Marknadiseringsprocessen undersöks i sin tur utifrån den institutionella omgivningen i form av politiska initiativ, för att studera den institutionaliserade processen. Utifrån nyinstitutionell teori om organisationers tendenser till formaliserade strukturer, jämförs vad som kommit till uttryck i kommunikationsstrategiska dokument med hur det externa kommunikationsarbetet i praktiken har utvecklats under denna tidsperiod..

The development of the web has become an attractive area, with continuously and rapid development in the area it has led to a big change in the way of learning. Learning is a concept with many definitions, but a definition that is many at hand is that learning means that individuals seeking new knowledge and experiences that shape their goals, behavior and environment.With the development of the web a new way of learning emerged, E-learning. E-learning integrates information technology with the traditional learning to offers a flexible way of learning for students where they won't be dependent on time, place or others issues that would prevent their learning. E-learning takes shape of an application, LMS (Learning Management System). Today LMS are widely used in many universities, but with new technique comes new problems. The constant developments of the LMS have made the decision to use LMS difficult.

Employable humanists. A qualitative study on humanist students' views on employability.The crisis of the humanities is a controversial debate in the media and within academic settings. Because of lack of request for humanists in the labor market, the question of humanistic skills and employability is becoming increasingly important. The concept of employability importance not only echoes within the economic discussions, but also on everyday agenda in the academic world and takes a large part in the communication between the university and the students. It is therefore important to get answers to the question whether there is conformity in the interpretation of this concept between the university and the students.The aim of this desk study is to examine how the concept of employability has its significance in the academic communication and how the responsibility for employability is portrayed.

In addition, art images have been used as comparative material. The advertising images have been strategically selected, however they are modern and aestetically appealing. A number of questions have been formulated wich is the basis of the analys.Main results: Primarily the study found that art has influenced today?s advertisingimages in different ways.

Det har aldrig funnits så mycket kunskap och vetenskap på de svenska universiteten som idag. Dock når inte denna kunskap alltid utanför akademin för att utnyttjas i kommersiella innovationer. Relationer mellan aktörer är fundamentalt för ett innovationsutbyte och därmed är kontaktytorna mellan universiteten och näringslivet kritiska för att sprida kunskap däremellan. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur företag inom life science i Uppsala uppfattar relationer med Uppsala universitet samt vilka nyttor, drivkrafter, barriärer och konflikter som finns i denna relation. Företrädare för åtta företag har intervjuats och därefter har relationerna med Uppsala universitet klassificerats ur teoretiska modeller samt analyserats.

Uppsatsen syftar till att belysa och diskutera den utveckling som skett inom kyrkokonsten, och då främst altartavlor. Undersökningen grundar sig i två kyrkor i Uppsala stift, Gamla Uppsala kyrka och S:ta Maria kyrka.   Urvalet är begränsat till att beröra konst från 1200-talet fram till modern tid. Metoden som använts är ikonografisk bildanalys av altartavlor och altarskåp i de utvalda kyrkorna likväl som forskning i kyrkokonstens utveckling i modern och gammal litteratur. Genom undersökning av skriftverket Biblia Pauperum dras slutsatser gällande den äldre kyrkokonstens inspirationer.   Undersökningen påvisar att en utveckling har skett inom kyrkokonsten. Konstnärerna har fått en större frihet i val av innehåll och form på konsten som beställs.

In this work we study how the information provision should be organised in a new smaller size Swedish university college in a town without previous academic traditions. Specifically, our aim is to propose a possible model for information provision in Campus Helsingborg which is currently under construction. The study consists of two parts: literature review and empirical investigation. In the literature review we summarise a selection of articles about traditional and untraditional practically realised ways of information provision in nineties. The empirical investigation consists of 19 interviews with students, teachers and librarians from Kalmar, Halmstad and Helsingborg.
