This report will discuss principle, primary and finally manufacturing structure. We were asked to produce a 3D milling to processing the prototype material that is used on the University of Halmstad. From conceptual drawings to produce components for this project have we together with a number of company take developed the right components for this project. We have calculated and analyzed the construction to get the best result for it purpose. Unfortunately have the process to produce the 3D milling has been stopped because of deficient budget and time.

This thesis is a case study which describes the automation of a university library in Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim of the case study is, firstly; to find out which actors and factors have started and influenced the automation and the implementation of ICT at Makerere University Library in Kampala, Uganda. Secondly; it also discusses if the automation has changed the librarys condition. The empirical material consists of fifteen interviews with librarians and students. The empirical material itself has functioned as a base when discerning the analytical themes.

This thesis has been carried out in autumn 2009 at Uppsala University for Boliden Mineral AB. Physical modelling has been used to model a comminution circuit. The model has then been linked to a PLC.When a concentrator is about to become operational Boliden Mineral AB have been looking for a way to test the PLC. The purpose of this report has therefore been to develop models for the subprocess in a concentrator and link these models to the PLC. The subprocess was a comminution circuit in Aitik36.

This paper is a study of 18 extant pieces of panegyrical music for the Swedish king Karl XI (1655?1697). The compositions are preserved in two forms. There are a few contemporary prints, but the largest amount of music is preserved as manuscripts in the Düben­collection (Uppsala University Library). The paper focuses on four different aspects of the production of these 18 compositions.

Uppsala University Library owns eight volumes of manuscripts attributed to the academy equerry Johan Leven Ekelund (c.1701?1775). In this thesis, I apply methods from the field of material culture studies in order to establish which of the volumes that formed the donation from Leven to the library mentioned in his will. By mapping certain markers such as places, names and dates I am able to identify to some extent where Leven gained his practical skills and which writers influenced him. By analysing the texts, I draw the conclusion that the manuscripts can be divided into groups aimed for different audiences.

In Sweden we have the highest rate of nontraditional students among Europe. Coincidently, we also have the highest rates of drop outs among OECD. In this particular field, drop out from higher education, there is a need fore more qualitative studies that can support the "statistics". Studies about experiences of drop outs are significant for society, university and individual. The aim of this study is to describe and understand how nontraditional student experiences drop out from higher education.

Heat is distributed to the district heating customers through pipes with water as a heat carrier. The district heating system is complex. To decide what is leakages from the district heating net versus what is the water consumption of the plant, is difficult. Therefore, the purpose of this master thesis is to establish a model where the district heating net?s leakages but also the water consumption of the plant can be followed daily. The project is performed at Vattenfall´s district heating power plant in Uppsala. Information is gathered through discussions, drawings of the plant and guided tours of the plant.

Fastighetsmäklaryrket och fastighetsmäklartjänsten debatteras ofta, både i media och privat, en anledning till detta kan vara att bostadsaffären är en av de största affärer som görs under ens livstid. I denna uppsats vill författarna belysa den rådande uppfattningen om fastighetsmäklare och fastighetsmäklaryrket i Uppsala samt att söka påvisa var utrymme finns för en förbättring av kundens upplevda tjänstekvalitet. En undersökning av vilka förväntningar som människor har på fastighetsmäklare, vilken tjänstekvalitet som har upplevts, samt vad fastighetsmäklare tror om människors förväntningar, har genomförts.För att svara på frågorna ställda i problemformuleringen använde sig författarna av modellen SERVQUAL-P, med en komplettering från modellen RESERV, som påvisar gap mellan upplevd och förväntad tjänstekvalitet samt mellan kundernas förväntningar på tjänsten och tjänsteutövarens tro om vad som förväntas. För att illustrera olika förväntningsgap används en gapmodell som är bunden till SERVQUAL-P.Utöver insamling av sekundärdata, insamlades också primärdata via en enkätundersökning riktad till potentiella kunder och de som tidigare hade varit i kontakt med fastighetsmäklare, samt en motsvarande enkätundersökning riktad till fastighetsmäklare.Undersökningen resulterade i små SERVQUAL-P-gap som tyder på att förväntningarna på fastighetsmäklartjänsten till stor grad motsvaras av upplevelserna och att inga större kriser finns att se för fastighetsmäklartjänsten i Uppsala. Rekommendationer som ges bör därför mer ses som en vägledning för framtiden än som problem som måste åtgärdas.

Det som motiverar en människa behöver inte motivera en annan, det finns många olika faktorer som påverkar en människas motivation. I denna uppsats undersöktes vad som motiverade teknologer och naturvetare vid Uppsala universitet att engagera sig ideellt inom Uppsala teknolog- och naturvetarkår. Teorin som har använts är inre och yttre motivation, samt fyra behovsteorier; Maslows behovspyramid, Herzbergs tvåfaktorsteori, McClellands behovsteori och Alderfers ERG-teori. Utifrån denna teori togs 13 stycken nyckelord fram till en analysmodell, vilken sedan låg till grund för påståendena i enkäten. Metoden som användes i undersökningen var kvantitativ och resultatet visade att inre motivation hade mycket större påverkan än yttre motivation för ideellt engagemang.

Freedom of religion or belief is indisputable in Human rights discourse, more discussed is exactly what it is that is included in the concept of freedom of religion or belief (in Swedish: religionsfrihet). This thesis focuses on the freedom of religion or belief in a European context, in particular on the European court of human rights and article 9 in the European convention for human rights. Some criticism has been directed against the Court to the effect that its practice and verdicts don't answer to the pronounced desire to develop a pluralistic and inclusive form of freedom of religion or belief.My aim is to examine, analyse and test three different theories, which all try to develop alternatives to the expression freedom of religion or belief, in relation to six verdicts from article 9 in Europe convention. My basic purpose is to try to find new ways of talking about freedom of religion or belief that might lead to a more inclusive, pluralistic and equal interpretation of that concept.The three theories wich I use are elaborated by Richard Amesbury (associate professor at Claremont school of Theology); Hugo Strandberg (TD at Åbo Akademi) and Eberhard Herrmann (professor in philosophy of religion at Uppsala University); and Martha Nussbaum (professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago).
