The study is based upon eight local newspapers located in the municipalities where the voting result for the Sweden Democrats increased the most and the least.Material/Method: The material consists of 263 articles from eight different local newspapers gathered from the month of September 2010 (the month of the election). Using a quantitative content analysis and a cluster analysis inspired by Matthes & Kohring, a comparison of the framing is made between the different newspapers. The results of this comparison are then analyzed and discussed by applying theories of political communication, media logic and framing.Main results: The results show that some similarities and some differences occur regarding the framing of the Sweden Democrats between the different newspapers.

The district nurses' duties with all organisational changes, above all during the last 20 years, have been changed. Economy and listing governs which visits that to be prioritized. The aim with this study was to examine what district nurses in the primary care in Uppsala län has for view about their occupational role. Det har aldrig funnits så mycket kunskap och vetenskap på de svenska universiteten som idag. Dock når inte denna kunskap alltid utanför akademin för att utnyttjas i kommersiella innovationer. Relationer mellan aktörer är fundamentalt för ett innovationsutbyte och därmed är kontaktytorna mellan universiteten och näringslivet kritiska för att sprida kunskap däremellan. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur företag inom life science i Uppsala uppfattar relationer med Uppsala universitet samt vilka nyttor, drivkrafter, barriärer och konflikter som finns i denna relation. Företrädare för åtta företag har intervjuats och därefter har relationerna med Uppsala universitet klassificerats ur teoretiska modeller samt analyserats.

Uppsatsen syftar till att belysa och diskutera den utveckling som skett inom kyrkokonsten, och då främst altartavlor. Undersökningen grundar sig i två kyrkor i Uppsala stift, Gamla Uppsala kyrka och S:ta Maria kyrka.   Urvalet är begränsat till att beröra konst från 1200-talet fram till modern tid. Metoden som använts är ikonografisk bildanalys av altartavlor och altarskåp i de utvalda kyrkorna likväl som forskning i kyrkokonstens utveckling i modern och gammal litteratur. Genom undersökning av skriftverket Biblia Pauperum dras slutsatser gällande den äldre kyrkokonstens inspirationer.   Undersökningen påvisar att en utveckling har skett inom kyrkokonsten. Konstnärerna har fått en större frihet i val av innehåll och form på konsten som beställs.

This study was conducted by using a qualitative textual analysis on UNICEF Sweden?s website with the purpose of problematizing the role of UNICEF Sweden in today?s globalised society. This was done in the context of how organisations of civil society have gained influence. Following questions were answered: How does UNICEF Sweden legitimise its operation? Which strategies does UNICEF Sweden use to encourage involvement and donations?The study shows how UNICEF Sweden legitimises its work by promoting a unique influence, their unique methods of work and by showing how the organisation helps the most disadvantaged children.

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete som utfördes under våren 2011.Centralt placerat i Uppsala ligger idag Österängens Idrottsplats som inrymmer en fotbollsplan samt möjlighet att utöva friidrott. Tanken med arbetet har varit att utreda behovet av en ny inomhusanläggning för idrott på denna plats samt hur denna skulle kunna gestaltas.Som en del av arbetet har det gjorts intervjuer med personer kunniga inom ämnet, granskning av området kring Österängen samt för arkitekturens skull gjordes en inspirationsresa till Köpenhamn.Arbetet är uppdelat i två huvuddelar, en utredningsdel och en gestaltningsdel. Utredningsdelen har resulterat i argument som stödjer idén om en inomhusanläggning på Österängens IP. I gestaltningsdelen har det arbetats fram ett program som legat till grund för de ritningar som redovisas i rapporten. Dessa är förslagsritningar i form av planer, sektioner och renderade bilder.Examensarbetet är gjort tillsammans med Werket Arkitekter i Uppsala där Anders Eriksson varit till stor hjälp..

This project will search for the sound in the contemporary landscape architecture, an attempt to combine music and land­scaping. In a first stage, I have searched for outdoor environments where loudspeakers are used, and sites with a concious sound design. The project will result in a sound design created for the park Frodeparken in Uppsala, Sweden. In my search for sites and examples of conscious sound, I have talked to the people behind the projects I found - landscape architects, sound artists and architects. Influences from different areas have been essential for me in the project.

The construction industry in Sweden has in the past 50 years had a low progress in efficiency. With a greater competition from construction firms from other countries, it is necessary to maintain the profit for Swedish construction firms. This is possible with a higher feedback of experience. This diploma work thesis examines how the two construction companies NCC and Skanska in Uppsala, Sweden handle experience feedback from previous projects and the extent to which the experience is spread and used in future projects. In this work, we examined directorial documents to see how employees shall work with feedback.

I urbana miljöer har antalet stressrelaterade sjukdomar ökat. En healing garden eller rehabiliteringsträdgård är speciellt designad för att minska stress och öka återhämtning. Syftet med arbetet är att identifiera de stressreducerande designprinciperna för en healing garden och undersöka hur de kan användas i en omgestaltning av en stressig plats i staden för att dämpa stress och möjliggöra återhämtning för besökarna. Arbetet avgränsas till helande trädgårdar med syfte att motverka stress. Det finns inget svar på varför en vistelse i en helande trädgård har en återhämtande effekt men det finns studier som visar att de har det. Olika teorier presenteras, bland annat att vi människor evolutionärt sett är mer anpassade till ett liv i naturen och att det därmed har en lugnande effekt. En annan teori är att välmående kommer som följd av aktivitet i trädgården. Vi valde att omgestalta Uppsala Resecentrum eftersom det är en plats där många människor dagligen passerar och som vi upplever som stressig.

The Library of Uppsala University has decided to change their classification system from the Swedish SAB system to the American Dewey Decimal Classification. One of the main reasons for this decison was that Kungliga biblioteket also has made an exchange between these systems. Due to that, the national bibliography of Sweden classifies Swedish documents according to Dewey Decimal Classification and the SAB system is no longer maintained. A transition to Dewey Decimal Classification will enable Swedish librarians to import foreign catalouge posts and classification codes and will provide them with a common standard between their libraries and other libraries due to the use of the same international classification system. It is disputed whether the Dewey Decimal Classification is equally suitable for all subjects.

The purpose of this study is to create a method that can be used to produce decisionsupport data for the climate goals of a municipality. The method should be able to demonstrate the potential for reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions for measures aimed at the stationary energy system in the municipality. It will be used to make longterm projections of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions in order to be able to demonstrate the ability to reach climate goals. The aim was also to test the method's applicability by using the municipality of Uppsala and the Uppsala climate protocol project in a case study. Uppsala climate protocol is a project consisting of participants from business, government and organizations that voluntarily want to commit to reducing their carbon footprint by reducing their energy use and thus work to achieve the municipality's overall climate goal. Public reporting of energy use and climate impact has been studied in order to examine the nature of indicators and accounting figures that are commonly used in the field and how long-term forecasts are formulated. In connection to this, the type and sources for the kind of data needed was also examined.

I denna uppsats har vi studerat hur Uppsala Konsert och Kongress nyckelintressenter avspeglas i deras styrsystem och vad detta får för konsekvenser på företagets prestation.  Bakgrunden till denna studie ligger i de två dominerande synsätten på hur företag ska förhålla sig till sin omvärld gällande den strategiska styrningen, där frågan om intressenter står i centrum. Det handlar om den traditionella, ägarorienterade eller den relativt nya, intressentorienterade styrningen. Till skillnad från företag som anammar en ägarorienterad styrning står de intressentorienterade företagen inför en speciell utmaning, nämligen att balansera styrsystemen så att nyckelintressenternas intressen tillgodoses jämbördigt. Uppsala Konsert och Kongress strategiska styrning karaktäriseras som intressentorienterad och för att undersöka hur nyckelintressenterna och deras intressen avspeglas inom företagets styrning har vi utgått från R. Edwards intressentteori kopplat till begreppen styrsystem och organisationsmål.

The 26th of February 2009 the Swedish government gave a referral to the council of lawregarding the removal of a law concerning mandatory membership at a student union andstudent nation while studying at a university or college in Sweden. This has led to adiscussion amongst the student nations in Uppsala as to how this proposed change will affectthe nations? future operations. Some, including the chairwoman for Kuratorskonventet,Therez Olsson, and the 1Q for Norrland?s student nation, Jon Stridh, have expressed theirworries that this could lead to a decrease in members.
