The purpose of this study is to describe and analyzes how the bookmobile librarians approach to purchase and selection and the range of views that may exist. The study is based on a qualitative method using a document study and three interviews included. The document study looking closely at public libraries library plans in Vastra Gotalands county. The qualitative interviews gets a closer look at librarians´approach regarding the purchase and selection and also if there are any similarities or differences between mobile library activities versus the main library.The theoretical framework is based on Sanna Taljas study where she has identified three different perspectives on the library´s music department. These are categorized as the interpretative repertoires and involves three categories of approach to quality.

Choir singing is one of the most popular national movements in Sweden but the knowledge of the meaning of this activity for health and well being from the choir singers? own experiences is limited. The purpose of this study was therefore to develop useful knowledge about the meaning of choir singing for participating persons from a health perspective. The data was collected through qualitative interviews with six different choir singers and went after that through a comprehensive analysis which resulted in four main categories: an oasis in the existence; possibilities of meetings and solidarity; goals and musical development; and physical and emotional well-being. The results showed that the choir activity represents a place where the singers can escape the demands and the stress factors of everyday life and where they get the opportunity of meaningful relations with other people.

Syftet med arbetet var att vid realiserandet av ett nyskrivet verk för sologitarr, kunna beskriva vilka förändringar som gjorts i förhållande till manuskriptet och vad som motiverat förändringen.I samarbete med kompositören Jörgen Häll har ett verk för sologitarr skapats. Processen inleddes med att jag tagit fram material till Jörgen i syfte att inspirera till komponerandet, utan att uppmuntra till att komponera idiomatiskt. Så snart Jörgen hade komponerat någonting gick vi igenom det tillsammans och jag spelade in det. Den konstnärliga processen började med att Jörgen komponerade ett antal korta utkast med olika karaktär för att få en uppfattning om hur instrumentet svarar till musiken då jag spelar den. Efter det komponerade han det slutgiltiga gitarrverket.Realiserandet av musiken visade sig till stor del handla om att hitta rätt fingersättning utifrån önskad interpretation av verket, snarare än ren omkomponering/tonförändring.Resultatet av arbetet blev musik av Jörgen Häll för gitarr, där jag i uppsatsen presenterat och motiverat de fingersättningar och förändringar vi kommit överens om, samt inspelningar av allt komponerat material..

This study is based on discussions among Swedish brass teachers about teaching other brass instruments than their main instrument. Why do some choose to teach only with the help of their main instrument while others use their secondary instruments as well? What are the advantages and disadvantages and how do they look upon other ways of thinking in this matter?In addition, the study examines brass teachers? views on the balance between pedagogical and instrumental skill, as well as their views on teaching sound, technique and expression in relation to the age of the student.A questionnaire was used and anwered by 24 teachers with teaching experience in municipal music schools ranging from 7 months to 35 years. The results indicate that pedagogical skill is always important, whereas the importance of instrumental skill increases as the student gets older and more experienced. The advantage of teaching with the help of the main instrument is that one always keeps a high musical and technical level.

Studien syftar till att få djupare insikt i hur några klarinettpedagoger förbereder sina elever inför musikaliska framträdanden. I bakgrundskapitlet presenteras tidigare forskning om nervositet och prestationsångest, samt olika strategier för att hantera det. Vidare presenteras studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt som utgörs av ett didaktiskt perspektiv. Den forskningsmetod som används i studien är kvalitativ forskningsintervju och det är fyra klarinettpedagoger som har intervjuats. Intervjuerna transkriberades, bearbetades och analyserades och de svar som framkommit utgör studiens resultat.

The aim of the thesis is to identify and investigate central themes in two video artworks, Poliisi and Pink Ball, by Swedish artist Annika Larsson. Moreover it is an investigation of the configurations of violence, and an enquiring whether these works have a social-minded intention.Elements in scenery, framing and narration are analysed with the term ?crystalline regime? (régim cristallin), described by French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, which defines the artificial as opposed to the purely representational. Processes within the narrations of the two works are analysed as rituals, which leads to an investigation of an internal sign-system and to the question whether the rituals in these works have a function. Theory by French philosopher Georges Bataille is used to analyse the ritual with no external purpose, which aims at an intense experience of life.

    Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka förstaklasslärares uppfattningar om hur motorisk träning hanteras i skolan och vad träningen kan leda till. Av intresse är också att undersöka vilken roll musiken kan spela i den motoriska träningen. Arbetet baseras på en kvalitativ undersökning i form av intervjuer med fem verksamma pedagoger inom grundskolans verksamhet. I bakgrundslitteraturen beskrivs den motoriska utvecklingen, problem som kan uppstå vid brister i motoriken, forskning om motorisk träning samt musikens roll vid motorisk träning. Den valda litteraturen visar på en splittrad syn när det gäller motorikträningens betydelse för barns lärande.

Patients who undergo surgery receive general anaesthesia or any form of conduction anaesthesia during the operation. For most people it is strange, unexpected and for many something completely new to be a patient and undergo surgery. Awake conduction anaesthetic patients? experiences from the intraoperative period were little studied. The purpose of this study was to examine awake conduction anaesthesia patients? experiences.

Detta examensarbete handlar om förebilders och idolers påverkan när det gäller val av instrument och musik, med fokus på elgitarren, samt vilka andra drivkrafter som påverkar detta. Syftet med arbetet är att få kunskap om olika drivkrafter som påverkar viljan att spela ett instrument. Teoretisk utgångspunkt för studien är den sociokulturella teorin. Tidigare forskning inom området behandlar exempelvis sociala normer, förebilders påverkan på människor samt ramfaktorer inom undervisning. Jag har använt mig av den kvalitativa forskningsintervjun som metod, och mina informanter är elgitarrister med varierande ålder och musikalisk bakgrund.

This thesis aim to shed a light on how to communicate the individual and subjective feeling of safety in the arena of public events such as music- and cultural festivals with the safety-project on Peace & Love festival in Borlänge, Sweden as a practical example. Earlier research has mainly been focusing on the objective side of safety on these kind of events. Peace & Love decided to put a larger focus on the safety for the festival in 2012, and Trygghetsprojektet was started. By looking at how the project is formed this study wants to show how organisations can communicate a feeling of being safe to the audience to enable them to fully enjoy an event.The main questions asked in this study is: How can a feeling of being safe be communicated to a large number of people by focused acts of communication at a festival? How does the head of safety and the safety coordinator work with communicating a feeling of being safe to the audience? How does these communication acts relate to earlier research on mass communication? The results shows that communication within the organisation and with its partners is of great importance for the outcomes of the project and that communication of the feeling of being safe is much greater then the hands-on communication of words.

Denna studie handlar om vilken sorts matematiska begrepp som barnen i förskolan möter i sångtexter. Den har även analyserat vilken kunskap förskollärarna säger att de tror sångtexterna förmedlar och hur mycket de använder sig av sången i den dagligaverksamheten. I studien har tre kvalitativa intervjuer med pedagoger genomförts på olika förskolor, och analyser av nio sångtexter har gjorts.Frågeställningarna var:Vilka matematiska begrepp finns i de sångtexter barnen möter på förskolan? Vilka kunskaper säger pedagogerna i förskolan sig tro att sångtexterna ger barnen? Hur mycket använder sig pedagogerna av musik och sång i verksamheten?För att få reda på vilken sorts matematik och vilka begrepp som fanns i sångerna så analyserades sångtexterna och olika ?kategorier? undersöktes. De som hittades var: rumsuppfattning, tid, vikt och längd, form och räkneord.

Antalet personer med demenssjukdom ökar i Sverige och i stora delar av världen. Svåra kognitiva symtom komplicerar relationen mellan vårdpersonal och de personer som vårdas med demenssjukdom vilket ofta leder till etiska frågor och dilemman. För att utveckla omvårdnaden av personer med demenssjukdom är det viktigt att kartlägga sjuksköterskans etiska perspektiv. Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskans etiska perspektiv i omvårdnaden av personer med demenssjukdom. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie och tio vetenskapliga artiklar granskades. Resultatet visade att etiska perspektiv uppstod i olika situationer.

Denna uppsats syfte är att analysera hur musikartister använder sig av YouTube som marknadsföringsverktyg, samt vilken betydelse YouTube har för dessa artisters marknadsföring. En kvalitativ och induktiv metod har tillämpats, medan ett antal intervjuer samt en innehållsanalys genomförts som grund till det empiriska materialet. Detta för att få en inblick i musikbranschens syn på ämnet, samt även ge en objektiv bild av hur plattformen används som marknadsföringsverktyg. Slutligen menade studien att ge artister och andra arbetande inom musikbranschen, en bild av hur användandet av denna marknadsföringskanal kan förbättras för att skapa en mer effektiv marknadsföring.  Den teoretiska referensramen har utgått från tidigare teorier kring YouTubes betydelse, roller och potential inom musikartisters marknadsföring. Teorier kring YouTubes möjliggörande för artister att upptäckas av A&R personer eller nya fans, YouTubes påverkan på musikvideons roll som marknadsföringsmedel, samt teorier kring plattformens påverkan på maktbalansen inom branschen har legat som grund.

As a guitarbuilder it is an advantage if you can control and understand what is creating the character of the tone. To approach this vast jungle of variables that controls the tone in a guitar, I built two guitars and in one, guitar 2, reduced the thickness of soundboard, back and sides.The purpose was to compare the guitars and establish if there was a significant difference and what it was, in the guitars ability to produce sound. The thought was also to try the thesis: loud but short, long but moderate tone. Also if a lighter built guitar has an advantage in producing a loud but short ton and vice versa.The instruments has been examined by five guitarist, one guitarbuilder and a professor in Speech, music and hearing at KTH in Stockholm.The relative obvious conclusion is that guitar 2 is a bit louder and has a clearer base and treble but the more part of the guitarists fancied guitar 1 better. This one has got more mass fore the tone to stay alive with.

In our attempts to understand the world, wildlife films play a significant role. Wildlife films help us to see new places and learn about animals in remote locations, that we otherwise wouldn?t be able to do. Yet wildlife films have throughout history been criticized, mainly for the ambivalent relationship between science and storytelling. While the films give us a scientific impression and say something about the ?reality?, they clearly have the intension to amuse, capture and entertain their audience.
