Event is something that an increasing number of Swedish cities are investing in since it contributes to higher attractiveness of cities and generate economic revenues. New arenas are built around Sweden to meet the increasing demands to host such events. Event projects are carried out in Sweden and it is important that the planning phase is carried out thoroughly to get a successful project. This thesis aims to look more closely at selected organizations and how they plan their projects and whether it is possible to follow project plans in the event projects. Karlstad has many events that recur annually, including the Swedish Rally.

Arbetsmiljöproblem på byggarbetarplatser är idag väldigt omfattande och omtalat. Byggindustrin är nämligen en av landets farligaste industrier. Byggindustrin sysselsätter ca 290 000 (2009) och omsätter ca 250 miljarder SEK. Denna rapport utreder bristerna inom arbetsmiljön och orsakerna bakom dödsolyckorna.Studien omfattar granskning och analysering av arbetsmiljöverkets utredningar och intervjuer. Den omfattar även granskning av arbetsmiljöansvaret och vad aktörerna har för ansvar och funktioner i arbetsmiljöarbetet.

Examensarbetet har utförts under perioden oktober 2008 till och med mars 2009, inom ämnesområdet Logistik vid Linköpings universitet och på Linköpings Universitetssjukhus. Sjukhuset bedriver länsöverskridande operationsverksamhet där bland annat R-sektionen (handkirurgi, plastikkirurgi, ortopedi samt ryggkirurgi) medverkar som en aktör. På R-sektionen utförs cirka 5000 operationer per år. En av de dyraste verksamheter på ett sjukhus är just operationsverksamheten. Det går att skönja en allmän våg som sveper över svensk sjukvård med krav på effektivisering samt högre krav på leverans av god vård.

The purpose of this paper was to analyse ?Identity- about trademarks, signs and symbols?. The project was a co-operation between the National museum of Art and Stockholm School of Economics in the spring of 2002, which consisted of an exhibition, a book and a series of seminars. The goal was to illustrate how the trademark had developed through history, which role it has in the modern society and how the trademark serves as a creator of identities. The project, mostly the exhibition, was exposed to criticism, which was directed towards the sponsorship deals between The National Museum of Art and five companies..

In this study we intend to evaluate the effect of cetirizin, orally administrated to horses with insect dermal hypersensitivity. The study comprised 156 horses from 49 farms, which were located in different parts of Sweden. The horses were matched on the farms and were given cetirizin or placebo in a double blind test. Veterinarians collected a blood sample and examined the horses visually, before and after three weeks of treatment and filled in given forms. The results are based on the veterinarians? subjective evaluation of the clinical appearance of the allergic dermatitis before and after treatment.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vad inkludering betyder ur lärarperspektiv. De perspektiv som behandlas är lärares syn på arbetssätt och undervisningsmetoder.  Intervjuer genomfördes med tre lärare i ämnet svenska i årskurserna 6-9. Resultaten visade att det finns både möjligheter och hinder med inkludering i ämnet svenska. Lärarna ansåg att inkludering bland annat beror på klassernas storlek, ämnesinnehåll och undervisningsmetoder.

Kina blir en alltmer viktig marknad för filmbolag från Hollywood och hur de förhåller sig till varandra på film.Kung fu-filmens spridning har inneburit andra kulturella uttryck, från Bruce Lee som symbol mot imperialistiskt förtryck i tredje världen, till att bidra med formande av nya bildsspråk i filmer som The Matrix. Hur kan en transnationell samproduktion mellan kinesiska och västerländska bolag se ut? I följande uppsats undersöker jag produktionsförhållanden och mottagande av filmen Man of Tai Chi och i slutsatsen kommer jag fram till att filmen misslyckats ur ett kommersiellt perspektiv..

The aim of this study was to try to get an overall image of how participation is constituted in the organization of AMA, a Human Service Organization (HSO) that is part of the Vasteras municipality.  With focus on mainly participation but also communication and leadership the goal was to find out more about how the governing parts of the organization was able to communicate and create participation amongst their employees. Did the message come across? Using a triangulation method including interviews, surveys and observation hopefully this question would be answered along with trying to depict an overall image of the participation within the organization. The results indicated that there were both differences as well as similarities between the employees and the management with regards to how they experienced participation. A surprising result was that the geographical location was found to have an impact on how the staff perceived participation.

Några tendenser till vad som är kännetecknande är ett metaforiskt och personligt språk. Kommunikativa ledare anpassar sin talhastighet som gör att uppmärksamheten kvarstår hos mottagarna utan att förståelsen går förlorad. Talhastigheten får således varken vara för snabb eller för långsam. Alla ledare i studien använder sig av tredje person i sina tal och de flesta använder negativa ord mer än positiva.

This thesis describes teh solution of two problems regarding safety on powered lawnmowers; protectning the users from injury when using the lawnmower in slopes, and when cleaning the cutting blade.The task was carried out through initial studies on a representative lawnmower. A generation of ideas followed with an evaluation to select the best solution. The winning concept was further developed to reach acceptable performance. The word resulted in a functioning prototype utilising an original way of detecting inclinations without incorrect signals. Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) is one of the leading causes of acute encephalitis in humans. The virus is spread by mosquitoes, mainly belonging to the Culex species. The main reservoirs are considered to be birds and pigs, with pigs constituting the most important reservoir in regard to human infection. During the last few decades the production of pork has increased significantly in Vietnam. With 90% of pigs being kept in households owning 10 pigs or less, pigs are widely spread across most parts of the country.

The process of producing a video game is one that goes through a number of phasesduring the span of the entire production. One of these phases is the concept design phase,which is part of the pre-production. This phase is an important aspect of the productionas it is where all the different parts and ideas concerning the game are brought togetherto define what the game is going to be. Though a clearly important part of the videogame production surprisingly little research have been done on the subject of conceptdesign.
