In this day and age we carry out our purchases through different channels. We can shop our clothes and computers in a store or online. Nowadays we can even purchase our groceries through the Internet. The biggest retailer chains within groceries in Sweden have established virtual stores online and are distributing the goods in cities throughout the country. This thesis is dedicated to investigating crucial success factors when going about selling groceries online.

To work with environments outdoors for people, animals and plants is the main topic for the landscapearchitect. On several occasions the work is about public places that is to be in relation with other parts of the town. It is about the activities and the life that take place. The physical environment and the interpretation of it gives possibilities or obstructions for people who moves around or spend time in it.Since public places, parks and places for movement are used in daily life they strongly effect the people who use the places. The concequences of this effect can be positive or negative experiences.A positive example is a passage over a brook on the way to school while a negative one is to be afraid while passing a tunnel when it is dark outside. Other examples of concequences are stress effect from traffic noice or calming environments with twitter of birds. The physical environment is also a part of the total interpretation of a town.

Reducing the CO2-pollution, resulting from the combustion of fossil coal for energyproduction, is important to affect environmental changes. One way to achieve a reductionis to use the oxy-fuel technology. The technology uses O2 and re-circulated flue gasduring the combustion which results in a flue gas mainly consisting of CO2. The flue gascould then be compressed and stored without environmental effects. A problem thatfollows from the compression is the risk of acidification in sensitive parts of the process.Acidification can occur because of reactions following from the contact of condensedwater and sulphur- and nitrogen-oxides which are also present in the flue gas.This report compiles and evaluates the basis of a scientific unit with the purpose ofexploring the possibilities of extracting impurities of SOx and NOx from the flue gases.The dimensions of the unit are based on basic conditions, defined for an existing oxy-fuelprocess at Chalmers, and on the results of computer modelling.

Detta examensarbete har utförts på uppdrag av H&M Mail Order Division i Borås, somansvarar för postorderverksamheten inom H&M AB. I juni 2007 öppnade man ett nyttcentrallager i Poznan, Polen som förser distributionslagret i Borås med varor. Övergången harinte varit smärtfri, och man dras med problem som leder till merarbete och ökade kostnader iBorås. Syftet med examensarbetet är därmed att kartlägga material- och informationsflödetmellan Borås och Poznan, för att identifiera de problem som skapats samt att geförbättringsförslag. Arbetet avgränsas till att undersöka vilka interna faktorer som påverkarflödet i de båda lagren, och uppsatsen kommer inte att beskriva hur olika förbättringsförslagska implementeras.För att få en inblick i problematiken användes olika metoder.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är dels att utvärdera rapporten från 2005 och dels att analysera om dessa riktlinjer efterföljs av polismyndigheterna ute i landet. De två första centrala frågeställningarna i arbetet är om riktlinjerna överensstämmer med psykologisk forskning och om de är tillräckligt tydligt utformade för att den enskilde polisen ska förstå vad som krävs och varför detta krävs. En tredje central fråga är huruvida polisen följer riktlinjerna och om arbetet sker enhetligt mellan tre geografiskt spridda orter i landet..

The design regulations of Boverket (BKR) have long been the mandatory standard for construction design in Sweden. However from the end of the year 2010, the BKR will be replaced by the European standard Eurocode (EC). The transition to EC has been delayed and it is not until the second of May 2011 that the use of EC will be mandatory. Because EC and BKR differ from each other it is highly interesting to investigate and explain these differences.The purpose of the thesis is to compare the two standards and investigate how they give different results or not for the dimensioning of structures of steel with associated loads. The current project HVC (Pets Science Center) in Uppsala is used as a model for the design of the steel structure used in this study.

Industrialisation, modernisation and urbanisation are common words used to describe an evolving community. General patterns are often linked to the meaning of the above words but can these patterns be applied to individual parishes on the agricultural countryside?The purpose of this study is to seek moving patterns and how they change during the 19th century in the parish of Västra Eneby, municipal of Kinda, Östergötland. The main thesis is that the study will show an increasing intensity of translocations over the parish border towards the end of the 19th century.The study is based on material from Västra Eneby?s church archives to establish statistical data beginning with 1809 and with a sample rate of 10 years, ending with 1909.

D?rf?r syftar denna studie till att genom semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer ge insikter om IT-anst?lldas preferenser av arbetsmilj?, s?rskilt i j?mf?relse mellan kontorsarbete och distansarbete.

Inom logistiken finns det ett antal frågeställningar, där struktur är ett viktigt område. Strukturfrågorna berör bland annat distributionen, exempelvis om en färdig produkt ska lagras eller skickas direkt till kund samt hur själva transporten ska gå till. Distributionsstrukturen syftar till att överbrygga de gap som uppstår mellan producerande företag och konsumenterna av deras produkter. Distributionen är i vissa fall mer komplex än företaget i sig, där beslutsfattandet kan handla om vilka delar som ska outsourcas och vilka externa aktörer som ska samarbetas med. Val gällande distributionen kan vara avgörande för ett företags lönsamhet och konkurrensförmåga.

Att handla på Internet har blivit mycket populärt. Allt fler företag öppnar handelsportaler på Internet där konsumenten kan köpa företagets produkter. I och med att kunden inte kan se produkten i verkligenheten, utan bara som en bild på Internet, händer det att kunden blir missnöjd med produkten och väljer att returnera den. Produkter som säljs på Internet har en tendens att returneras i högre grad än andra produkter som säljs på traditionellt sätt. När det gäller betalningen av produkterna har konsumenterna många olika betalningssätt att välja bland.

The thesis treats how the German public libraries originated and how they were affected by the Nazi era. It deals with how the library system began to cover the whole nation, and describes the struggle between public libraries and commercial and religious ditto. It also treats the weedings out and what happened to the staff and the stocks between 1933 and 1945.Furthermore it gives a picture of what books one could find in a German public library,and how these volumes were catalogued and classified. Moreover it describes how thelibraries managed during the Second World War, and ends by giving some topics fordiscussion and asks questions that additional research might be able to answer..

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkat acceptansen hos användare, inom den kommunala verksamheten, vid införande av ett datoriserat system. Med acceptans menas att användarna ska kunna utföra sina arbetsuppgifter på ett bra och lätt sätt. Studien har gjorts utifrån användarnas perspektiv.Genom att genomföra en intervjuundersökning på ett flertal kommuner där användarna använder systemet Vabas/Duf, har undersökts hur användarnas upplevda acceptans påverkas av faktorerna delaktighet, användbarhet och lättanvändhet, vid införande av ett datoriserat system. Delaktigheten vid införandet av ett system innefattar även information och utbildning.Resultatet från undersökningen visade att delaktigheten ökade användarnas acceptans. Ingen avgörande slutsats kunde däremot dras mellan acceptans och faktorerna användbarhet och lättanvändhet, då resultatet från de båda grupperna inte visade någon märkbar skillnad..

Denna rapport beskriver hur en ny materialförsörjningsprocess skall implementeras i praktiken vid Ericsson Radio Systems i Gävle. En intressant frågeställning för detta examensarbete har varit hur materialförsörjningen skall uppnå en effektiv samordning och ett effektivt samarbete i en materialförsörjningsprocess, vilken består av olika funktioner, linjeorganisationer, yrkeskategorier och kundbehov. Arbetet begränsades till att behandla den interna delen av materialförsörjningsprocessen. En fallstudie genomfördes vid implementering av en processförbättringsgrupp. Resultatet av våra undersökningar och resultatet av fallstudien visar att grundproblemet till ovanstående är brist på utbildning.

This two years master?s thesis is about book circles for children, arranged by the public libraries in Sweden. The purpose is to gain knowledge about how children experience their participation in book circles, and how they experience their own reading. It focuses on children aged 10 to 12 years, and their leisure reading. The research questions are: What are the book circles? function for the participants? How and why do the children read? What kind of literature do they like? Do the children experience that their reading has developed through their participation in the book circles? What parts of the reading process do the book circles influence?The theoretical framework is threefold.

This report describes a project carried out in cooperation with Klippan Safety AB. The purpose of this project has been to develop a product that facilitates the living area in a truck cabin for the customers. To be able to develop, in a structured way, that kind of product, the project has been based on different product development theories. The project contained of following parts: marketing research, product generation, product evaluation and prototyping. After information from the marketing research and discussions with the company, the decision was made that the task was going to consist an improvement of the existing product referred to as 'the comfort module'.
