This report is about planning a demolition. The purpose of this report is that it should become a base for a demolition of house J at the Academic hospital in Uppsala, and also to make general help for planning a demolition. This report also contains a part about how a change in the work environment affects general people. The work started with studies of literature and design of the general part of the report and then continued with a practical study of house J. From the experience of the first two parts of the report a general help for planning a demolition was shaped.

The main subject with this master thesis is to take a closer look at university libraries specially Gothenburg University Librarys operation of marketing the librarys user contact, how it receives various users demands and carry out the interactive and strategic marketing. Marketing is planning, structuring, implementation, analysis and controls of carefully formulated programs, designed to bring voluntary interactions and relations with the target markets, for the purpose of achieving organisational and user satisfaction objectives. The structure of this thesis covers three main parts. Part I reflects the researchers approach to the subject. Marketing researchers such as Grönroos, Kotler, Bryson, De Sáez and Gummesson among others are presented.

I november 2010 avskaffades revisionsplikten för små bolag och diskussioner har förts kring vilka konsekvenser detta skulle få för både bolagen och dess intressenter. En negativ aspekt som lyftes fram innan genomförandet av lagförändringen var att det skulle kunna påverka bankers kreditbedömning av företag, då den finansiella informationen skulle minska i trovärdighet utan en granskning av Tredje part. Resultatet av detta skulle kunna utmynna i en ökad informationsasymmetri mellan bank och företag, och därmed försvåra kreditbedömningen. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva vilka faktorer som ligger till grund för bankers kreditbedömning av små bolag, mot bakgrund av revisionspliktens avskaffande och vad den inneburit för finansbranschen. Utifrån en kvalitativ studie där sju banker/kreditgivare tillfrågades kan det konstateras att revisionspliktens avskaffande för små bolag generellt sett hittills inte påverkat finansbranschen avsevärt.

Individual lessons in singing and different instruments are a big part of music education. The teacher and the pupil are meeting each other face-to-face in this kind of lessons. The interaction between these two individuals, in singing lessons, is the main subject of this thesis. The identity and acting of the singing teacher has a central part and advises are given for successful teaching.The study is based on literature on the subject and interviews with teachers and pupils..

Denna undersökning handlar om sex förskolepedagogers syn på den pedagogiska miljön i en Reggio Emilia inspirerad förskola. På Reggio Emilia inspirerade förskolor benämner man den pedagogiska miljön som den tredje pedagogen. Resultatet jag fått fram efter att jag gjort min studie visar att pedagogerna anser att den pedagogiska inomhusmiljön är mycket viktig när det kommer till barns lärande och meningskapande. Pedagogerna anser att miljön ska anpassas efter barnet. Den ska locka till lek, nyfikenhet och lärande.

The civil war in Sierra Leone was a very complicated conflict, both in its origin as well as in its realization. Many actors, along with the diamond trade, played vital parts in making the war carry on for a decade. In this paper I will try to clarify the relations between the actors and the diamonds, first and foremost the part the diamonds played in the conflicts start and continuation. I will also show what has happened in the country and in the diamond industry after the wars conclusion. What I find is that diamonds did not play the only part in the origin of the conflict but that the poor economic state the country was in had its part.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att besvara frågan om andraspråkselevernas ordförråd påverkar deras resultat i skolans matematikundervisning. Materialet i studien utgörs av tolv andraspråks­elever och tolv svenskfödda elever i årskurs 8. Jag har låtit eleverna genomföra ett test i tre delar; det första testet består av lästal, det andra av ordförståelse och slutligen det tredje av numeriska tal. Samtliga test hör ihop och testar på detta sätt elevernas förmågor på tre olika sätt. I studien ingår även en räknesaga, där eleverna själva får skriva ett benämnt tal.

Syftet med denna uppsats är framförallt att försöka visa, samt diskutera, vad en postkolonial läsning kan vara, och vad den kan ge. Jonas Hassen Khemiris "Ett Öga Rött" är ämnet för min läsning, alltså mitt primärmaterial. Genom olika närläsningar av denna roman undersöks relationerna mellan språk, makt och identitet. Huvudsakligen försöker jag, med hjälp av postkolonial teoribildning, att utröna hur romanens huvudkaraktär och berättare, Halim, förhåller sig till sig själv, och sin verklighet. Min teoretiska grund ligger hos de postkoloniala teoretikerna Edward Said och Homi Bhabha.

In my thesis I have chosen to examine pre-school from a gender perspective, focusing on the current norms of society that are also influencing pre-school. My thesis is written in the form of an essay, which means that reflections are a substantial part, and writing has become a part of my process of learning. My thesis originates in three different situations that I have experienced during the years I have been working in the pre-school. These situations show how I, as a pre-school educator, unconsciously am a part of creating norms, patterns and gender. The curriculum of the pre-school has been the basis of this thesis, and an important part has been to interpret what the mission of pre-school is in practice.I start by explaining the concepts of sex, gender and norms, and continue by describing how preschool can be viewed as an institution preserving the norms.

This master thesis is made of two parts. The first part concerns the method and results ofdesigning a motion control system for a piece of research-equipment called BIRGIT. Theequipment is made to be used for research on eyemovements. In the second part, a computermodel of a part of the balance organ in the inner-ear is developed. The work has been done atthe Bernadotte laboratory at S:t Erik Eye Hospital.The equipment the control system is made for is a so-called rotationchair.

This study discusses the relationship between studies and part-time work. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of why students enrolled in the programme of human resource management and working life choose to undertake part time work, specifically in the human resource business in such great extent while studying full time and what this means for the students regard gaining knowledge. It focuses on the students experience and in order to gain the understanding of this phenomenon three qestion formulations were formed; ?What are the reasons formed by the interviewed human resource-students for having part-time work in the human resource bransch, in addition to their full-time studies??, "What values are made visible regarding the students choices of having a part-time work in addition to their full-time studies?" and ?How does the students express the thought about their part-time work as a key to learn from their studies?? The empirical data were collected through interviews with eight branch-specific human resource-students. The data was analysed based on previous research and a theoretical framework consisting of Lave & Wenger's theory of communities of practice and John Deweys theory of learning by doing.

Antibiotikaresistens är idag ett viktigt globalt folkhälsoproblem. Ifall vi förlorar antibiotika som skydd mot bakteriella infektioner kommer det att påverka både samhälle och individ i form av ökade samhällskostnader och för individen en ökad morbiditet och mortalitet. Den viktigaste orsaken till uppkomst och spridning av resistens är användning, däribland felaktig användning, av antibiotika vilket selekterar för resistensutveckling. En annan faktor som bidrar till en ökad resistensutveckling är att samma typer av antibiotika används inom flera sektorer: inom human- och veterinärmedicin såväl som inom djuruppfödning och jordbruk. Resistens inom en sektor kan spridas vidare till en annan, till exempel kan resistenta bakterier spridas från djur till människa genom direkt eller indirekt kontakt.

When searching for better and more practical interfaces between users and their computers, additional or alternative modes of communication between the two parties would be of great use. This thesis handles the possibilities of using eye and head movements as well as voice input as these alternative modes of communication. One part of this project is devoted to find possible interaction techniques when navigating in a computer interface with movements of the eye or the head. The result of this part is four different controls of an interface, adapted to suit this kind of navigation, combined together in a demo application. Another part of the project is devoted to the development of an application, with voice control as primary input method.

This study focuses on a reconstruction proposal of a small part of a rural churchyard that has lost a big part of its history, in form of its conformation and plant material. The chosen part of the cemetery was established in 1938, and this proposal is an interpretation of the architect?s original plan, the workers wishes and my own observations and experiences of the place. In this proposal I have tried to balance the plants composition to create an environment that can benefit the biological diversity, that fits the locations habitat and today?s maintenance.

Uppsatsen syftar för det första till att applicera ekonomisk teori på patientskadeförsäkringssystem. Fyra viktiga teoretiska problem identifieras och analyseras: ansvarighetsproblemet, orsaksproblemet, informationsproblemet och ersättningsproblemet.För det andra är syftet att utifrån de teoretiska problemen beskriva patientskadeförsäkringssystemen i Sverige, Storbritannien och USA. Analysen avslutas med en jämförelse.Det tredje syftet är att diskutera och analysera möjliga förändringar i patientskadeförsäkringssystemen. Fokus ligger på systemens effektivitet.Policyimplikationerna som föreslås är för det första införandet av ett så kallat self-reportingsystem, som styr vårdgivarna att själva rapportera om skador.För det andra bör en slags självrisk utredas mer, och eventuellt få utrymme i patientskadeförsäkringssystemen.För det tredje föreslås en översyn av ersättningsnivåerna i patientskadeförsäkringssystemen, eftersom det är svårt att förklara dagens stora skillnader utifrån individers preferenser. Denna översyn bör ske med utgångspunkt från forskningen om betalningsviljan för ett QALY.
