This essay is about Swedish government cultural policy.The premise is that cultural policy is a form of welfarepolicy. The welfare state has changed and this affects theconditions for the cultural policy. Welfare is funded andorganized in different parts of society, in three spheres thatcan be said to represent society as a whole. These spheresare the public sphere, the market and the civil society. Theaim is to analyze how the national cultural policy appearedin the 1970s, compared to how it appears today.

This thesis takes on a broader perspective of the modern age phenomenon we call spam. One of the aims of this thesis is to present and to compare the variety of methods used in the day-to-day fight against spam, as far they have evolved today, but also to present and discuss some alternative methods for suggested future use. The properties of a common e-mail spam are analyzed to show how the components that make up the structure in an e-mail can be used to classify spam. Furthermore I explain the naïve Bayesian classification methods, the signature-based method, the commonly used rule-based method and the challenge and response method and discuss these. The widespread use of blacklists is also explained and a close new variant to blacklisting, Turntide is presented and discussed.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the use and losses of energy in an existing older building. Another purpose was also to look through various options for heating systems with renewable energy in the building. The aim was to reduce the use and losses of energy. The first step was to study the related electricity bills of the building and also perform measurements and calculations of the building envelope and ventilation. The next step was to find out the possible actions for energy saving by performing measurements and calculations.

To be able to protect themselves from credit risk, the banks must constantly check the performance of  the companies they have lent money to. There are many mathematical models for predicting financial distress. These models use accounting-based ratios, which often are historical and not representative for the present situation. This study describes how the banks do in practice to find signals of insolvency in time and the variables they are observing for doing that.In addition to financial reports which the company sends in to the bank at least once a year, also the relationship between them and information from different information  agencies are of great importance to track  signals of insolvency. Poor profitability is the primary cause of insolvency.

We are in an emerging digital society where we are increasingly dependent on the mastery of IT and digital technologies to better carry out our everyday tasks. They cover everything from keeping in touch with family and friends to pay bills and declare. At the same time there are those who have not learned how to use the new technology and live their lives outside of the digital society. What happens to these people, in a society that is becoming increasingly digitized? Do they take harm by being in digital exclusion? It looks like this are issues that will not become less important as digital technology constantly changes.

Vi vill sedan jämföra hur det ser ut i verkligheten med vad teorin säger om området. En del av vårt syfte har varit att utreda om den pågående ekonomiska krisen har påverkat graden av riskexponering, och om företagen tar till ytterligare åtgärder eller alternativa metoder för att hantera detta.Vi har i vår studie valt att använda oss av en kvalitativ metod och genomfört den i form av djupgående telefonintervjuer med de studerade företagen Lindab och Sandvik.

This essay focuses on the Sweden Democrat?s migration policy and its evolution from 1989 up until today. The purpose of this study is to longitudinally examine the party's migration policy proposals to see if, and how, the political ideas have changed over time. Idea analysis has been used as method, and the texts have been analyzed by using three dimensions. Depending on the outcome in the three dimensions, one out of eight political types is possible.

Consumers today leave a fragment of information when they pay with their debit and credit cards. The aim of our work is to investigate ways to design a concept of a system in which digitally stored information that today is fragmented among several different holders, can be assembled into a system and made available to consumers. In our study of how a system for financial flow of information should be designed, we intend to study the present situation and the attempts made to alter it into a more informative reality. We intend to investigate the flow of information when a consumer pays by card, and the possible solutions regarding the design and transportation of digital receipts. A majority of the information of our digital consumption is today handled digitally.

Företagen återfinns inom industribranschen på Large Cap och Mid Cap på Stockholmsbörsen.För att få en generell kunskap om valutasäkringsstrategier hölls initiala intervjuer med dels Magnus Jarlén, Corporate Finance Director på AB Volvo, dels Peter Karlsson, Head of Treasury på AB Volvo. Förutom att bidra till bakgrundskunskap, utmynnade även intervjuerna i en problemdiskussion utifrån vilken frågeställningar skapades.Uppsatsen ämnar besvara hur valutasäkringsstrategier ser ut i de gällande företagen, samt om finanskrisen 2008 har haft någon påverkan och i så fall hur den påverkat valutasäkringsstrategierna. Uppsatsen ämnar även undersöka om det finns riktlinjer för hur valutasäkringsstrategier skapas. Slutligen undersöks varför vissa företag säkrar sin valutaexponering med derivatinstrument medan vissa företag väljer att inte göra det.Som underlag för att besvara frågeställningarna har en litteraturstudie gjorts tillsammans med granskningar av tidigare svenska och utländska undersökningar inom valutahanteringsområdet.

In this thesis the author has through a discourse analysis examined how the concept of culture has been used in the discourse of integration during the late twentieth century in Sweden. The author argues that the integration of immigrating people has been the fundamental method in creating Swedish citizens within the immigrant communities. In this discourse the concept ?culture? has been a constant recurring way of explaining differences among the immigrants towards ?ethnic swedes? and Swedish way of life and establishing difficulties in performing integration outside of governmental policies.
