Detta examensarbete har utförts i samarbete med Svedala Compaction Equipment AB. Examensarbetets primära mål var att reducera höjden på ROPS tillhörande asfaltvält CC 422. En sänkning medför ett friare vägval och billigare transporter. Hittills har vägvalet påverkats av broar, viadukter och andra hinder. Med hjälp av riktlinjer från Svedala Compaction Equipment AB och Fredy Olssons modell för integrerad produktutveckling togs kriterier fram, vilka användes vid bedömning av olika lösningsförslag.

The main purpose of this study is to clarify the underlying reasons as to why people choose to travel by car or taxi, and to do so by using people´s choice of transportation to and from Arlanda Airport as an example. Furthermore it is also in our interest to see what changes are needed to make more travellers use the available public transportation.Because of the increasing pollution rate from the means of conveyance headed to and from Arlanda Airport, Luftfartsverket is attempting to decrease the amount of emission from the connecting transportation sources. Luftfartsverket has a pollution limit which is about to be reached in a few years, based on a prognosis made by Arlanda´s office of environmental issues. In order to investigate people´s travel mode choice a survey was conducted at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm. 82 travellers were interviewed on a three day basis inside terminal 4 and 5.

To guarantee the customers a job satisfactory executed Sydved has been certified by the ISO 14001 standard. One part of the certification is the standards of soil damages. The soil damages were over represented during 1999 and 2000. It was therefore a need to study the problem in order to see what could be done to reduces these damages. A filed study was carried out on 21 subjectively selected stands from the following five districts: Vänersborg, Falköping, Borås, Jönköping and Åseda. As the study is a descriptive study of the soil damages, their character and extension, only stands were tracks were reported were considered.

Introduktionen av AJAX har möjliggjort skapandet av dynamiska webbapplikationer på Internet. Dessa dynamiska webbapplikationer bygger på att skicka data mellan klient och server med hjälp av asynkrona förfrågningar. Detta görs med hjälp av ett serialiseringsformat som används för att kompaktera data och möjliggöra kommunikation mellan olika programmeringsspråk. Binära serialiseringsformat har konsistent visat sig prestera bättre än de textbaserade alternativen på plattformar som tillåter binär transport av data. AJAX är en plattform som endast tillåter textbaserad transport av data.

Mechanical scaling is one of the most complex operations of all in the mining process. The operators are using both hearing, sight and feel to read the rock and to know where to scale and where to leave. They say they go on gut feeling in great extent, something that comes with experience. The scaling machine is placed into the edge of unsecured and newly blasted rock to hammer off the blocks that has become loose after the blast, but not enough to fall down. It goes without sayingthat it is a risky job.

This thesis treats Building Information Modeling, BIM, in the production stage. Brieflydescribed BIM is virtual model of a building object where all information about theobject is gathered. All the involved operators in the construction project have access tothe model and can gather or share information about the project. There are several waysto apply BIM in the production stage. This thesis primarily deals with visualization of theobject, preparation and planning, the ability to take amounts from the model andcoordination and clash control.The basic issue was highlighted by Byggdialog AB.

Examensarbetet har genomförts i samarbete med Meritor HVS AB i Lindesberg som tillverkar fram- och bakhjulsaxlar till buss- och lastbilsindustrin. Projektet behandlar de fixturer som används vid transport av bakhjulsaxlar. Målet med arbetet var att utveckla en ny transportfixtur som passar majoriteten av deras bakaxelmodeller och som förebygger skador vid transport.Projektet har genomförts enligt metodiken systematisk konstruktion som beskrivs enligt Johannesson, Persson och Petterssons (2004). Systematisk konstruktion kan delas in i fem steg: produktspecificering, konceptgenerering, utvärdering och val av koncept, detaljkonstruktion samt slutkonstruktion.De problem som Meritor har med transportfixturerna är att de i hög grad slits och att skyddsbeläggningarna inte håller. Det finns för projektet 30 aktuella bakaxelmodeller som skall kunna transporteras med samma fixtur.

Chapter 1 defines the aim of the project and gives a general orientation about ground heat extractors. In chapter 2 physical processes that could be expected to be involved in the heat transport around a ground heat exchanger are discussed. It is shown from a literature study what amount of moisture transport due to thermal gradients there could be expected in a ground heat exchanger. The conclusion is drawn that the moisture gradient (Sr) is of same magnitude as the driving temperature gradient (°C). At the expected amount of increased moisture around the pipes the moisture transport could be considered to have a little effect on the brine temperature.

Utvärderingen resulterade i att två av de tio ursprungliga förslagen gick vidare till nästa steg i produktutvecklingsprocessen - primärkonstruktion. Primärkonstruktionen inleddes med vidareutveckling av de två principförslagen.

The common drivers for hotel accommodation are tourism and business travel and hotel demand seem to outstrip supply in many places. More than 50 % of visitors to Sweden stay at a traditional hotel but is there room for alternate accommodation like serviced apartments besides the traditional hotel for people visiting? These are usually referred to as extended stay or long-stay accommodation. The aim of this thesis project is to explore whether there are growth opportunities for serviced apartments in Sweden. A secondary aim of the thesis project is to identify challenges (if any) to this segment and also to identify the major operators of serviced apartments in Sweden.

Arbetet har utförts i syfte att belysa möjligheten för Sjöfartsverket att använda helikopter istället för att allokera lotsar med lotsbåttransport till fartyg. Detta har gjorts i ett ekonomiskt perspektiv genom att använda Payback-metoden. Metoden har använts explorativt där det ekonomiska underlaget från nuvarande verksamhet vid allokering med lotsbåt jämförts med de beräknade kostnaderna för Sjöfartsverkets SAR-helikoptrar om de utför samma transporter. Ingen vikt har lagts vid vilka eventuella processförbättringar detta skulle kunna leda till, utan enbart vad kostnaderna för samma transporter skulle bli med det nya transportsättet. Resultatet har tagits fram utifrån tre aspekter: Hur det ses från lotsningens sida, hur det ses från helikopterfunktionens sida och slutligen vad det kommer att innebära för Sjöfartsverket som helhet.

The Swedish government has a goal of achieving a fossil-free vehicle fleet in 2030. Heavy transport constitutes a significant part of Sweden's transportation sector and the vehicles are driven almost exclusively by fossil fuels. Siemens has developed eHighway, a concept for electric road systems enabling electrification of trucks, in order to reduce the environmental impact of heavy transports. This study aims to investigate the potential that eHighway has on transporting iron ore from the mine of Mertainen to a processing plant in Svappavaara. Electrified trucks are compared with conventional trucks, and diesel and electric trains.The evaluation was made with respect to energy consumption, environmental impact, and cost.

This paper is concerned with surveying the possibilities of implementing a futures market based on the valuation of non-commercial real estate in Sweden. We base our survey on a theoretical speculation of how such a market would operate and what instrument would best suit the marketplace. After reaching our solution we survey key experts to receive their feedback on our suggested solution. Their feedback includes, who are potential operators on this market and their motives, possible effects of such a market on the real estate market and other aspects of society..

This case study's aim was to strengthen the state of knowledge about how horticultural companies in Sweden used railway transports between 1900s and the 1950s. Economic theories and a micro-historical perspective have been used to analyze the collected source material, and to describe Lindehult's market garden. The investigation is based on document analyzes, qualitative interviews, archive studies and literature studies to evaluate the sources' information through a source pluralistic method. The work has been based on historical source material in the form of payment vouchers, giving an insight into how the company's products were transported by rail across Sweden. Sture Hjalmarsson's diary and interviews have described the case and events that affected the company internally.
