In this thesis I discuss about economical and political transition in countries that is consecutively being induced by influential external actors. Looking closer on the role of the EU as a dynamic transitional force, with the intention of examining to what extent the EU can pursuit its interest and modify the economical as well as the political structures of transition countries. With relations to four transition states on the Western Balkans, more precise Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia-Montenegro and Macedonia (FYROM), I have examined the influential position of the EU. Another feature that is discussed is the approach of the EU and the cause of it in respect to the Western Balkans. Since the end of the crises in Kosovo the EU was given the leading roll in stabilizing and reconstructing the Western Balkans.

Transitionen från student mot kompetent sjuksköterska är en kritisk period. Det är viktigt att nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor erhåller en fullgod transition med möjlighet att öva upp kunskap och tillgodogöra sig erfarenhet. Efter en kort introduktionsperiod förväntar arbetsgivaren att nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor ska ha förmåga att fungera i professionen. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser under transitionen från student mot kompetent sjuksköterska. Resultatet visar att transitionen upplevs som en uttröttande lärandeprocess, men trots svårigheter finns en känsla av prestation och personlig fullbordan över att vara sjuksköterska.

This paper aims to examine how and to what extent, a transition of Sweden according to the principles of Omställning Sverige (Transition towns Sweden), have the potential to contribute to a society with increased happiness.The paper is based on a qualitative textual analysis of the key texts in the Swedish Transition towns movement, Omställning Sverige. In the first part of the study the most important transition principles of Omställning Sverige were identified. Four key principles emerged: An altered view of economics, a spiritual change, a stronger local community and increased awareness. These transition principles were then analyzed through the lens of the scientific fields position on happiness, followed by a summarizing conclusion.The altered view of economics which Omställning Sverige advocates, where sustainability and quality of life are priorities over economic growth, is even necessary to secure our basic physiological needs. Such an economy has also improved conditions for economic stability, high employment and higher efficiency in the sense of happiness promoted in relationship to how many natural resources are used.

Techniques used in the building of a number of ships from the Mediterranean will be presented in this paper. The two techniques thnat will be discussed are shell-based technique and skeleton-basedtechnique. An attempt to clearify and delineate the transition between these two techniques will be made. The possible reasons for transition will then be described and discussed. The development ofthe techniques is going to be identified with help from four wrecks by analyzing their edge joineriesand this facts will be used as a basis for a chronological presentation.

This paper comprises a quantitative study of the effects on certain key ratios for companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, arising due to the proposed transition. The period examined is 2004 and 2005.

Systems development methods has always been an important part of the systems development process. It affects not only the product, but also the organization itself. Today more and more companies are abandoning the more rigid traditional methods for the more flexible agile ones. I interviewed teachers and parents, sent surveys to parents, observed children playing school and interviewed children about their thoughts and expectations for the preschool in the school there.The survey results show that all parties, except perhaps the children who did not express an opinion thereon, wants better cooperation between the preschool and school.

När en kvinna drabbas av bröstcancer förändras hennes förutsättningar att leva livet som hon tidigare gjort. Denna livsomvälvande händelse är början på en transitionsprocess där kvinnan behöver lära sig att acceptera och hantera det som hänt genom att omvärdera sin uppfattning om livet, relationer och självet för att ha möjlighet att uppnå hälsa. Syftet med vår litteraturstudie var att beskriva upplevelser av transition hos kvinnor som lever med bröstcancer. Åtta artiklar analyserades med manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys, vilket resulterade i fem kategorier: Att ha svårt att acceptera och hantera sjukdomen och livsödet: Att fundera över meningen med sjukdomen och livet: Att relationer och sätt att se på relationer förändras: Att förändras och få en ny syn på sig själv: Att få ett förändrat liv och välja att hantera det som sker. I resultatet framkom kvinnors svårigheter att acceptera det som hänt.

Being a student in the educational system is in itself a challenging exercise, considering the various parts that may matter in different extent for the students. There is a syllabus, there are different backgrounds and contexts for each student and there is also the knowledge in the subject to consider. This study sets out to explore to which extent teachers and students reflect about the transition from public school to upper secondary school/high school, specifically in the context of History as subject. What do they think about it and how do they work with it?By interviewing five teachers and letting 94 students in upper secondary school completing a survey about this subject (the transition), I can conclude that the matter is complex, both for students and teachers, however still a significant and important issue to discuss.
