Sjuksköterskans stödjande roll i omvårdnaden av patienter med bröstcancer : En litteraturstudie
BAKGRUND: Mer än var tionde kvinna drabbas av bröstcancer under sin livstid, vilken är den vanligaste cancertyp som drabbar flest kvinnor. Trots den höga incidensen har antalet friskförklarade ökat de senaste åren. Kvinnor med bröstcancer får en förändrad självbild efter diagnos och behandling, vilket generellt skapar specifika omvårdnadsbehov. Det är viktigt att hantera dessa konsekvenser av bröstcancer, då de är starkt sammankopplade med livskvaliteten. Detta medför ett ökat behov av holistisk omvårdnad med fokus på livskvalitet. SYFTE: Att belysa sjuksköterskans stödjande roll i omvårdnaden av patienter med bröstcancer.METOD: Undersökningen genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt och utgår från artiklar baserade på kvalitativa studier.RESULTAT: Bröstcancerpatienter i olika stadier, från diagnos till efter avslutad behandling, uttrycker att sjuksköterskan varit en viktig resurs genom hela vårdprocessen.

Bakgrund: Det är en brist på specialistsjuksköterskor inom sluten psykiatrisk vård. Det är därför viktigt för arbetsgivaren att få kännedom om vad som motiverar specialistsjuksköterskanatt stanna inom psykiatrisk slutenvård och vad som får henne eller honom att söka sig frånslutenvården.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka specialistsjuksköterskors inom psykiatrisk vårdoch vårdenhetschefers uppfattningar om möjliga orsaker till varför specialistsjuksköterskorinom sluten psykiatrisk vård slutar.Metod: Studien är genomförd med kvalitativ metod och fokusgruppsmetoden valdes. En gruppbestod av fyra sjuksköterskor med specialistutbildning inom psykiatrisk vård. Den andragruppen bestod av två vårdenhetschefer. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades.Materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

The use of artificial insemination (A.I.) as an alternative to normal mating in dog breeding in Sweden are controlled by regulations from the Swedish Board of Agriculture and by ethical rules assigned by the Swedish Kennel Club. Only veterinarians, who have a specific certificate and are specially trained and educated, are allowed to perform inseminations in dogs. Each artificial insemination must be documented and reported to the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) which, on the behalf of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, yearly presents statistics concerning the use of A.I. in Sweden. The objective of this study was to illustrate the use of artificial insemination in dog breeding in Sweden for the last decade, using the yearly reports from the Kennel Club during the period of 1995 to 2004.

Background: Overweight in children is a growing problem around the world. Studies has shown that children suffering from overweight, are at a greater risk to remain overweight as adults as well. Child health care nurses have an important task by trying to motivate parents to better diet and exercise habits for their children. Previous research proves that overweight and obesity in children is a very complex problem which requires a good caring relationship between child health care nurses and parents.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate the experiences of child health care nurses of meeting parents of overweight children.Method: An inductive qualitative approach was used as method. The collection of data was conducted by using semi-structured interviews.

Sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsåtgärder vid cancer hos barn - en litteraturstudie
Every year 300 children in Sweden are diagnosed with cancer, but through research and successful clinical work 70 % of the children survive their cancer. Aim: To illuminate nursing care of children with cancer. Method: The study was carried out as a general literature study through systematic review and analyse of 18 scientific articles. Result: The analysis resulted in five themes: Support, play as a psychological assistance, alternatives to alleviation of pain, nutrition and relieving symptoms of fatigue.Conclusion: It is important that the nurse has knowledge about the children and their family?s experiences when dealing with a cancer illness to provide the children with adequate care.

Background: Fall injuries are a costly problem for society, with costs ranging up to 14 billion a year. In addition to economic loss accidental falls also creates human value losses and reduced quality of life for its victims. In order to prevent the occurrence of injury related to accidental falls healthcare providers utilize various scientifically developed risk assessment tools, one of them being Downton Fall Risk Index. Method: Empirical, quantitative cross-sectional study. Objective: The purpose of the extended essay was to describe the categories in Downton Fall Risk Index that have a bearing on patients' risk of falling while in hospital and in municipal care, and to illustrate how nurses can use the fall risk assessment tool.

Foraging behaviour of cattle, sheep and goats on semi-arid pastures in Kenya
ABSTRACTThe principal aim of the study was to compare the feeding behaviour of cattle, sheep and goats on pasture and explain any differences between speices. Furthermore, I compared foraging behaviour between dry season and the beginning of the rainy season, in order to see any relationships between weather and behaviour.The study was carried out in Shompole in southern Kenya. Behavioural data were collected by observing herds of cattle, sheep and goats on pasture. The livestock were herded on pasture during the days and kept in bomas, where people live, during the nights. The weather in Shompole is characterized by high ambient temperature and low, bimodal rainfall.

Att leva med stomi. En litteraturstudie om hur stomiopererade personer upplever sin nya livssituation och den omvårdnaden de får av sjuksköterskan
The purpose of this study was to find knowledge about ostomy patients experience with a focus on overall life situation and the care they receive from the nurse. The method used was a systematic literature review according to Polit, Beck & Hungler. Six scientific research reports have been used as foundation of the result in this study. The articles have been reviewed according to Antonovsky's Sense of Coherence (SOC).The result shows that experiences of having ostomy are individual. Adapting to their new life situation varies depending on the reason for having an ostomy.
Att behandla hypertoni med hjälp av icke-farmakologiska metoder
Hypertoni är idag en folksjukdom som berör många patienter i vården. Det är därför viktigt som sjuksköterska att ha kunskap om de olika behandlings-metoderna. Syftet var att studera vilka livsstilsförändringar som kan påverka hypertoni och att belysa sjuksköterskans roll vid de icke-farmakologiska metoderna. Fokus inriktades mot primärvården hos patienter som var över 18 år.
Litteraturstudien är baserad på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet kategoriserades i kost, övervikt, viktminskning, fysisk aktivitet, andning, stress, rökning och alkohol.

Bakgrund: I Sverige är det mer än 160 000 personer som insjuknat i demens och hälften av dem har Alzheimers sjukdom, som är den vanligaste demenssjukdomen. När diagnosen Alzheimers sjukdom ställts förändras patientens och anhörigas livssituation. Anhöriga tar på sig ett ökat omvårdnadsansvar och känner en större ängslan och oro för framtiden. Syfte: Att belysa anhörigas upplevelser av att vårda en person med Alzheimers sjukdom. Metod: Studien utfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie och sju vetenskapliga artiklar som motsvarade syftet granskades kritiskt och analyserades.

The harness racing industry has roots hundreds of years back in time and breeders through time have changed the horses to a mix of potential, harmony and speed. Breeding has changed the conditions and created a horse that perform better and better. A risk with high-performance horses is that injuries related to training and racing may occur more often. In training and racing situations, lameness is the most common injury. There are many factors affecting the occurrence of injuries and lameness of the trotter horses, such as how the horse is trained and raced, the surface condition of the racetrack, banking and angle of the curves of the racetrack and how fast injuries are discovered and treated.
