The society of suburbs is frequently discussed in media, which often focus on the problems related to these areas. The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine how Swedish contemporary youth literature may contribute to create, strengthen and articulate social representations of the society of suburbs. The analysis is based upon six youth novels published during 2003 to 2007. The theoretical framework consists of two parts and is based on Anthony Giddens? theories about late modern society in which the youth novels in our study take place, and those living conditions that this society creates.

In a world where digital media is becoming a greater part of people?s everyday and working lives it is plausible to assume that the upcoming generation of pupils expect the teaching media to adapt thereafter. It is this assumption of an increased demand that Natur & Kultur is hoping to be able to meet. Legislative framework from the EU is favourable and the Commission has set as one of it goals to promote the migration. Globalisation trends and contemporary business concepts need people who are mobile on the other hand. But migration numbers are still low within Europe. The purpose of this thesis is to find out how much the legal uncertainties, and the different culture mentality in the workplace of another country act as barriers in the minds of the people who wish to work abroad.

Today´s roofing of dwelling houses is a very time consuming procedure, which includes a lot of different steps on the construction site. Not only does it cost a lot of money, but often do problems with rot and mold occur in the attics of houses today. The use of prefabricated modules has seen a great breakthrough in the field of construction of dwelling houses; at least when it comes to foundations and walls, where this type of approach makes the construction process way more efficient. What no one previous has succeeded to develop is a corresponding system for roofs that meets the demands of a dwelling house. Accordingly the goal of PlusTak has been to come up with a proper module system for roofing of dwelling houses, where the roofing is completed to meet the demands of the Scandinavian market. During the project a lot of effort has been put into customer contacts and the usability of the product, as well in the manufacturing process as on the construction site. This development has gone hand in hand with several practical tests and tryouts.

Syftet med mitt arbete var att undersöka om det fanns skillnader på flickors och pojkars motoriska färdigheter i år 5. Dessutom om denna eventuella skillnad har påverkat deras val av slöjdart i år 7-9. Kunskap om motoriska färdigheter och olikheter inhämtades dels genom litteratur i ämnet och dels genom information på Internet. Elevernas inställning om sina motoriska färdigheter undersöktes både genom enkät och med observationer och foto. De elever som ingick i undersökningen tillhörde skolår 5 och undervisades i textilslöjd.

This master?s paper first presents some of the principal theories and concepts developed by the poverty researchers Rowntree, Titmuss, Townsend, Sen and Lister. These theoretical frameworks are then related to two documents from the EU and Sweden concerning combating poverty and social exclusion, bearing on the establishment of the ?Year 2010 against Poverty?. Finally, I discuss the value in practice of these theories and policy documents, as regards reducing poverty in Europe.It has become clear in this investigation that the theories and concepts from earlier research are still relevant to the formulation of contemporary policy programmes, and that earlier research helps us to avoid old traps in fighting poverty.

The Purpose of the study was to highlight the primary care managers' perception of the barriers and opportunities in the implementation of the national guidelines for harmful drinking and alcohol abuse in KalmarCounty. The data was collected by questionnaires which were directed to all primary care managers in the county. The response rate was low, 40%. The data collection was complemented at a later stage with a non-response analysis. To analyze the results implementation theory with following terms were used: wants to, understand and know.

Abstract In the contemporary world of information technology you find a multitude of applications and systems covering a broad spectrum of areas of need in different companies. One effect of this multitude of programs is the difficulty to make them exchange information with each other or to collaborate, since they are developed by different programming languages for different platforms, with different standards and different data formats. Our aim with this work is to describe how it is possible to tie these programs together to make them actually communicate with each other in order to exchange information, share their native methods and also to become a part of the overall business processes. In this integration task you will, among other things, find different levels of application integration such as data level, method level, application interface level and user interface level integration. Application integration also involves hardware components, called middleware, that facilitate the physical connection between applications. There is a range of different middleware products offered today on the market.

Denna uppsats är en hermeneutisk och queerteoretisk undersökning av fyra prästers uppfattningar om Svenska kyrkans beslut om att viga samkönade par. Materialet är insamlat genom kvalitativa intervjuer. Jag har utgått från frågeställningarna: Vilka ståndpunkter har informanterna i frågorna om vigsel och äktenskap och hur motiverar de dessa? Hur resonerar informanterna kring frågorna om vigsel och äktenskap? Vad anser informanterna om Svenska kyrkans behandling av frågorna om vigsel och äktenskap? Vad tror informanterna att de beslut som kyrkomötet fattade den 22 oktober 2009 beträffande vigsel och äktenskap kommer att leda till? Resultatet visar att skapelseteologi, tradition och heteronorm är centralt för de två informanter som är emot beslutet. De tycker också att kyrkan behandlat frågan illa.

Läkemedelsbranschen är idag hårt konkurrensutsatt vilket skapar incitament till förändring av de interna processerna av vilka inköp utgör en. Läkemedelsbranschen har av tradition ansetts ha en eftersatt inköpsverksamhet för att vara en så mogen bransch. Vår undersökning gick ut på att jämföra en Best Practice modell för inköp med inköpsverksamheten i läkemedelsbranschen. För läkemedelsbranschen finns helt klart utvecklingsområden och utmaningar i förhållande till den gängse inköpsteorin och Best Practice modellerna. Vid en jämförelse med Best Practice modell för inköp och vårt fall identifierade vi ett antal avvikelser beroende på rationella, politiska och ekonomiska orsaker.

I uppsatsen undersöker jag lärares definition av läromedel samt val och användning av läromedel inom NO-undervisning. I teoridelen presenterar jag den forskning och litteratur som behandlar området läromedel. Då forskning på området inom NO ämnena är knapphändig har jag valt att även redogöra för de teorier som finns inom de samhällsorienterade ämnena. Undersökningen grundar sig i kvalitativa halvstruktuerade intervjuer med lärare verksamma i årskurs 4-6. Fem lärare har deltagit i undersökningen och delat med sig av sina erfarenheter och syn på läromedel.

This thesis revolves around NATO?s role in the Ukraine crisis with the startpoint in 2014. Specifically, through conducting a qualitative content analysis of various NATO related material, a study regarding NATO?s security strategy and defense strategy, and the strategies' implications and roles in the Ukraine crisis, was able to be conducted. The purpose was to obtain an understanding of how NATO?s strategy has been interpreted and implemented in relation to the crisis.

Veck, stygn och fiberoptiskt ljusJag arbetar med att bygga upp egna och manipulera redan färdiga material. Att integrera material, kropp ochplagg intresserar mig. I examensarbetet har jag utformat en egen metod, för att med stygn forma textilamaterial så att de på bestämda sätt förhåller sig till kroppen. Metoden kom jag fram till under ett längreprojekt där jag undersökte plissering och smock.Mitt arbete är en skissprocess i förändring, formulerad i relation till tradition. Värdefullt för mig ärhantverket, kunskapen om de textila teknikerna, den svenska traditionen men också kopplingar till andraländer.

Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union a lot of hope has been put on civil society to help develop Russia into a more democratic society. This study explores the constructive elements in the relationship between civil society and the state in Russia, and how this enables the work toward political development. By using Julie Fishers theory about political development and organisational autonomy I discuss the varying and often complex ways in which civil society and the state interacts. These are often not mentioned in the liberal tradition, which believes that civil society's most important democratic function is to act as a watchdog for the state.There is very limited political space for NGO's in authoritative Russia. The existing oppositional NGO's are important for the political development, but they are few and their impacts on society are limited.
