The purpose of this essay was to examine what social functions the local pub provides to its regular frequenters, as well as the significance of the pub in the regulars? life. Essential questions were: For what purpose do the regular frequenters visit the pub? What are the routines of the pub visit? Can regular frequenters be viewed as a homogenous group, and if so, what are the prevailing norms in the group? How do the regulars perceive the staff, does the staff influence the regulars´ choice of pub? How does the staff perceive the regular frequenters?Our method was a qualitative case study based on participant observation and eight interviews with regular frequenters on a particular pub in Malmoe, Sweden.The main conclusion of this essay was that the relationship between the regular and the pub was much deeper than we initially thought. In addition to drinking beer, they also visited the pub to avoid loneliness, find fellowship and socialize with people who have similar backgrounds and values.

Ett branschanpassat affärssystem är avsett för organisationer verksamma inom samma bransch. Syftet med denna typ av affärssystem är att ge högre passform än standardiserade affärssystem och vara billigare än skräddarsydda affärssystem. Det råder dock brist på kunskap om hur dessa ska utvecklas. Genom vår litteraturstudie presenteras en kravinsamlingsmodell med utgångspunkt i Requirements Engineering som ska ge stöd för utvecklare vid insamling av krav för branschanpassade affärssystem. Utöver det identifierades ett flertal aktiviteter relaterade till modellen.

I denna uppsats undersöks översiktligt hur byggandet av flerbostadshus högre än två våningar med stomkonstruktion av trä har genomförts i Sverige under 2000-talet. Nybyggande av flerbostadshus med stomkonstruktion av trä studeras i förhållande till hållbarhet, säkerhet och utformning. De stora stadsbränderna i Sverige föranledde ett förbud med byggnadsstadgan år 1874 mot att bygga fler än två våningar med stomme av trä. Detta förbud rådde ända fram till år 1994, under 120 års tid. I flera andra länder råder det fortfarande inskränkande bestämmelser mot trä. Sverige ligger i framkant med byggande av trästommar i Europa. Byggnadsmaterialet trä klarar idag de tekniska kraven för stomkonstruktioner i kombination med andra material.

The 17th century was a time of change in Sweden. During the century many of the Swedish laws were altered. In the beginning of the 17th century this alteration resulted in a more severe sentence for most of the committed crimes, but a mitigation of the sentence for some of those crimes was effected in the middle of the 17th century. The aim of this study is to see how two local courts in the judicial system during the mid 17th century in Sweden treated adultery, and those who committed the crime against the background of what the law regarding adultery stipulated. The source material used are court records from Fryksdals hundred and Jösse hundred in western Sweden, and laws regarding adultery during the 17th century.This research shows that the laws regarding adultery were in themselves not gender specific, and their main concern was the marital status of those involved.

Kritik riktas till översiktsplanen som vägledande riktlinje för den vidare detaljplaneringen i kommuner. Det handlar om att översiktsplanen inte anses leva upp till dess lagstiftade syfte, som ett verktyg för politiskt och långsiktigt strategiska beslut om mark-och vattenanvändning samt bebyggelseutveckling. Är därmed översiktsplanen överflödig eftersom den inte anses leva upp till dess syfte? Vid ifrågasättandet av översiktsplanens relevans som riktlinje studeras detaljplaners faktiska användning av översiktsplanens riktlinjer. Detta för att utse om eventuella avvikelser görs i detaljplanen ur översiktsplanen.

This study investigates the planning process of a university library building. The study s major concern is the cooperation of the main participants in this process: librarians, architects and representatives of university colleges and universities. First the authors present the readers with an overview of the litterature concerning this subject. Then follows a presentation of the three case studies. The authors have interviewed representatives of the three different occupational groups at three different library-building projects: Malmö University, Halmstad University College and the department of social- and behavioural studies at Lund University.

This study aims at contributing to the studies of political implementation. The theory of implementation claims that local implementation that meets the demands of national policies is close to none existing. By examining the implementation of industrial policy in two Swedish municipalities that differs in location, prosperity and political believes I am putting the theory to the test. If the test were to show that the implementation is rather well executed in these two cases, where the risk of failure is great, the questions about whether the theory is valid or not will rise.By interviewing the two local government employees in charge of the work with industrial policy, and studying their strategic documents I got my answers. This by looking at their work but also their attitudes towards the national policy in terms of understanding the policy, being able to work with it, and wanting to work with it.

Uppsatsen är uppdelad i fyra avsnitt innehållande bakgrund, planförutsättningar, analys och planförslag. Målet är att planera för en utbyggnation av Åkarp genom ett traditionellt mönster av befintliga byggnader och vägar samt att utnyttja den kommunala marken i Åkarp för att bygga ett bostadsområde. Planförslaget har kallats Åkersvy för att det byggs på en åker samt att omgivningen har en vacker vy åt det skånska landskapet. Åkersvy kommer att byggas ut som en naturlig fortsättning av Åkarp. I planförslaget används Åkarps traditionella väg- och byggnadsmönster sedan trettio år som en utgångspunkt. Förslaget kommer att baseras på en genomgående huvudgata med matargator på båda sidor där trafikförsörjning sker till de olika områdena.

This paper is a case study of a local labour market project. The aim of the study is to investigate the staff?s way of working with unemployed people, receiving social assistance, in order to reduce the payment of social assistance in four adjacent city districts of Stockholm. Other objectives of the study are to investigate which criteria the staff uses when selecting participants for the project, in which way the participants? background affects the measures taken by the staff and how the staff experiences working as part of a project.

Abstract Considering the social dimension of sustainable development this thesis focuses on the qualities of life and how the environmental qualities that the inhabitants value can be incorporated in the physical planning of the municipality. The thesis deals with the problems that occur when the physical planning, whit its focus on the environmental aspects, also needs to consider peoples opinions, that springs from the individual experience of the place. The municipality of Mark, where this thesis takes its place, is characterised by the countryside landscape. Mark is situated in the western part of Sweden close to Göteborg, Borås and Varberg. The commuting is extensive and the demand for dwellings in the municipality is increasing. Those who strive to live in the municipality have a conception of what life on the countryside means and of which environmental qualities they want to assimilate.

The purpose of this paper is to develop an idea about geography in literature and through the study of science fiction literature examine the ?future city?. With the perspective that the city is a social construction and through the use of discourse theory, I have tried to emphasize how the future city is a representation of cultural discourses and in what way geography in literature can be used to increase our understanding of urban places. My intention with this paper has also been to find a way to connect the fictional future city with today?s urban planning discussion about the future city.

SAMMANFATTNING Södra Sandby är vad man ofta kallar en villaförort. Här bor cirka 5 500 invånare och många pendlar till Lund. Större delen av bebyggelsen är från 1970-80-tal. En stor centrumanläggning uppförd i början av 1970-talet dominerar centrala Södra Sandby, anläggningen rymmer bland annat affärer, post och café. Generellt sett är hela orten en uppvisning i bristande variation, något som är tydligt både i parkerna och bebyggelsen.

In the beginning of the 1990s the responsibility for the schools shifted from the government to the local authorities. This started an era with a freedom of choice for students where they themselves could choose which school to go to. The new system also opened up the possibility for independent private schools to exist side by side with local authority held schools. The overall aim of this study is to determine the factors that affect the location of these independent schools and the geographical pattern these independent schools create. The study in this paper is based on materials from statistics and interviews.

ABSTRACT. Introduction: In the Swedish government?s public health policy the municipalities are emphasized as one of the most important actors. Based on their broad range of operations the municipalities have good opportunities to influence the health situation of its citizens. Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate how the local public health coordinators in Region Västra Götaland are working and what barriers they experience in their work.

En god och fungerande stadsdel utanför stadskärnan kräver omsorgsfull utformning. I stadens utkant finns inte samma underlag för urbant liv och därför ställs höga krav på planeringen. En ny stadsdel måste möta sin omgivning och ses utifrån staden som helhet. I mitt arbete har jag lyft fram vikten av att förhålla sig till omgivande områden, landskapet samt stadskärnan och ta till vara på deras kvalitéer. Det nya området måste också tillföra den befintliga omgivningen kvalitéer.
