There is a mutual dependency between the business world and the country?s municipalities. The municipalities are dependent on the companies to create work and tax income while the companies are dependent on the municipalities they are located in to provide good infrastructure among other things.Apart from this the municipalities can work activly with creating a strong brand in the eyes of the companies and many researchers in marketing agree that marketing of places will be more common in the future. Marketing of municipalities is however still a rather new and unexplored area and it is uncertain how and to what extent the municipalities work with this.The thesis is formulated:How are the municipalities working to market towards companies and is it possible to make out any positive change from these marketing efforts?The goal of this study is:Our goal is to examine how the view of marketing of places differs from different municipalities in the Stockholm region, how some of these municipalities work with this and how far they have come in this work.

Uppsatsens syfte är undersöka hur två gruvorter (Gällivare/Malmberget och Kiruna) arbetar med och integrerar hållbar stadsutveckling i samband med den pågående och planerade flytten av städerna. Vidare är syftet att belysa eventuella svårigheter/otydligheter i arbetet med hållbar stadsutveckling och hur det praktiska planeringsarbetet i samhällsomvandlingens namn bedrivs i Gällivare och Kiruna. Då båda städerna har med ordet ?hållbarhet? i sin vision om hur det nya samhället ska vara, blir det intressant att undersöka hur deras syn på hållbarhet ser ut och hur de integrerar hållbar stadsutveckling i samhällsomvandlingen. Hållbarhet och hållbar stadsutveckling har sedan 1960-talet utvecklats till att bli det rådande planeringsidealet. Det är dock ett luddigt begrepp som inte är mätbart eller enkelt att använda för de som arbetar med fysisk planering. Då fokus ligger på två svenska städer har Sveriges politiska syn på hållbarhet studerats.

Begreppet hållbar utveckling har växt fram kring orsaker och lösningar för globala försörjnings- och deponeringskriser. Begreppet är mycket brett och diskuteras runt om i världen. Diskussionen om hur samhället ska uppnå en hållbar utveckling har påverkat fysisk planering och trafikplanering. Grunden till en hållbar utveckling ligger i en samordnad och miljöanpassad bebyggele- och trafikplanering. Det är bland annat viktigt att det finns förutsättningar för en effektiv och miljöanpassad kollektivtrafik och ett effektivt gång- och cykeltrafiknät.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

There are many barriers and obstacles that need to be removed to make the urban environment more accessible for people with disabilities. There are currently no adequate tools for urban planners to assess and address these obstacles. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) provide powerful methods for the visualization and analysis of spatial data, including the kind of data important in studies of accessibility. This study suggests a method urban planners can use to identify accessibility obstacles and to propose future actions to fix them.A literature review was conducted to find out what has been done and what is new regarding the accessibility issues. Different methods were evaluated which in turn led to the construction of a multi-step analytical strategy.

Det pågår ständigt förändringar i samhällsstrukturen som får effekter på många olika nivåer. Det har skett en övergång från jordbrukssamhälle till industrisamhälle och till kunskapssamhälle. Industriarbetarnas andel av befolkningen minskar till förmån för kunskaps- och servicebaserad verksamhet. Parallellt med denna utveckling har industrin lämnat efter sig stora landsarealer som är välförsedd med infrastruktur. På många platser runt om är det idag vanligt att mark i staden blir tillgänglig på grund av industrins strukturomvandlingar.

Now a day?s there is dramatic change from traditional to digital information processing in construction industry. This change can be visualized in the project concept stage where it now has accessibility to join all the data in one place. Location-based planning technique simplifies scheduling by visualizing the schedule efficiently and has many advantages such as might shortened the project period by about 10 - 20 % if the company uses location-based technology, reducing risks in many ways by maintaining production continuity and identify collisions between things etc. Vico Office software has been used for Location based planning technique and in this thesis.The purpose of this thesis work was to demonstrate how location -based planning technology change the scheduling stage in Peab, potentially reducing the project time.

Throughout the years the Swedish local history societies have collected a large quantity of material, consisting of photos, documents and items, among others. As the society has become more computerized, the need has increased for these collections to become digitalized. This is a way to make their media more easily accessible to the general public, but also to easily be able to archive and preserve for example photos and videos electronically.This thesis concerns itself with the work we have done for the local history society of Nyed in Molkom. The task set before us consisted of creating both a website for the society, and a reliable database from witch the website draws its information. This project allows anyone with administrator privileges to upload new files and any additional information.

Voluntary organisations provided the first consumer guidance in Sweden. The government'sinterest in the question started during the second world war and has ever since increased.Since the 1970's the local authorities, with support from the community, have played animportant roll in consumer policy work. Due to the economic recession of recent years theappropriation to consumer guidance work has been cut down. The work has been rationalisedand libraries have more frequently been used to spread consumer information.In Stockholm the municipal has been responsible for local consumer information since the1940's. Co-operation with the library of Stockholm has occurred in different forms.

Several cities have implemented various projects to improve traffic safety in city centers.During 1970s and 1980s the city centers changed as the suburbs grew and large shopping centers were located outside the center. At the same time, several projects were initiated with construction of pedestrian streets and restriction of traffic in the center. In year 1994,shared-used areas were introduced in Sweden and these areas are often used in center environments.In Sweden, municipalities are responsible for integrating security in public places and in comprehensive plans and detailed development plans. The National Board of Housing,Building and Planning is the authority for administrating planning issues and develop general guidance about planning. Traffic is one of their key issues, although today there are no concrete guidelines from the National Board of Housing, Building and Planningfor the design of traffic safety in city centers.Traffic safety in city centers affects many people because the city center is a public place.It is therefore important that there are current guidelines available that are helpful for changes and improvements in traffic safety in the city center.The purpose of this report is to formulate guidelines for planning city centers from a traffic safety perspective.

The annual cost of home care services of transport in Falun/Borlänge, is now at 31 million kronor. It is clear from previous research that it is possible to reduce these costs through a restructuring of the existing home-help service. The restructuring aims to have a higher proportion of older people, who are in need of care, to live in special accommodation, in order to reduce transport costs. Therefore there is a need for systems that allow home-help service to plan their operations in such a way that transport is working as efficiently as possible. Through better planning, there are profits to be done.

Det senaste decenniet har stadsplaneringen i Sverige till stora delar handlat om förtätning, särskilt i centrala och vattennära lägen. Området Vilan i Kristianstad är ett verksamhetsområde med dessa förutsättningar. Vilan ligger nära Kristianstads centrum, alldeles intill Helge å och i anslutning till ett våtmarksområde. Jag har i mitt examensarbete valt att arbeta med en del av Vilan, nämligen den nordöstra delen. Det är en stadsdel med dålig struktur och liten kontakt med den natur och våtmarksområde som området gränsar till. Syftet med examensarbetet är att utreda hur ny bebyggelse med bostäder, handel, kontor och verksamheter kan utvecklas i ett område nära ett riksintresse för naturvård, ett naturreservat, ett ramsarområde och vatten. Kan bebyggelsen integreras med våtmarksområdet eller kan de existera i varandras närhet? Nordöstra Vilan är min fallstudie och ett exempel på detta.

ABSTRACT: Introduction: There are intentions from the Swedish government to provide guidelines and tools for a healthy social planning. The field is in a Swedish context relatively unstudied regarding psychosocial health and the neighbourhood. Aim: The study aimed to examine how social planning can affect the health of individuals. The focus areas were contextual and compositional factors related to individuals' psychosocial health and the contextual risk- and health factors that exist in the neighbourhood. Method: A literature-based study was conducted and 15 scholarly articles form the basis for analyse.

Naturmark har en tendens att bortprioriteras vid exploatering. Forskning visar på att gröna miljöer som utgörs av naturmark har en större positiv inverkan på människans välbefinnandeän planterad grönska. Det är därför av stor vikt att tillgången på naturmark tillgodoses vid planeringen av nya bostäder. En naturmiljö som inte upplevs ha ett rekreationsvärde kan med rätt kunskap och skötsel omvandlas till ett uppskatt at vistelseområde. För att åstadkomma detta krävs information och engagemang genom hela planprocessen.

The purpose of the essay Multi criteria analysis of potential conflicts concerning land use planning - natural stone mining in Lysekil municipal is to study possibilities and limitations in GIS based multi criteria analysis as a tool for land use planning. How GIS based multi criteria analysis can be implemented to localize potential conflict areas between natural stone mining and other land use activities and what advantages and disadvantages the method holds are the main issues of this study. The essay studies these questions through a case study, concerning the geographical area of Lysekil municipal in western Sweden and problematizes the interest of natural stone mining in relation to other land use interests. A literature study was carried through, concerning multi criteria analysis and planning. After collecting and processing of data the multi criteria analysis could be implemented in the ArcGIS tool Weighted Sum.
