Uppsatsen syftar till att utreda hur balanserat styrkort och budget kommer till användning inom den offentliga sektorn samt utreda vilka faktorer som påverkar deras användning. Tillvägagångssättet för studien kännetecknas av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med influenser av såväl en induktiv som deduktiv forskningsansats. Även inslag av Grundad teori förekommer i samband med datainsamling och analys. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt behandlas utvecklingen från traditionell till modern verksamhetsstyrning. Därefter utgörs den teoretiska referensramen av Otleys "contingency theory", en teori om verksamhetsstyrning, Otleys teori om hur ett styrverktyg kan analyseras samt Sven Modells teori om faktorer som inverkar på organisationers verksamhetsstyrning.

SAMMANDRAG: Akademiker och praktiker framhåller en gemensam kritik kring den traditionella budgeteringens tillkortakommanden. Ett stort urval av akademisk litteratur och artiklar går att finna kring denna kritik. Vad som saknas är dock ett konkret förtydligande av hur företag i praktiken lyckats avskaffa budget och arbeta med budgetlös styrning. Denna uppsats syftar att utifrån Handelsbankens långa tradition utan budget fylla det tom- rum som upplevs finnas kring budgetlös styrning och beskriva hur denna styrning fungerar i praktiken. Utifrån ett ?practice-based perspective? är utgångspunkten att undersöka hur Handelsbankens vardagliga arbete sker, vilka budgetproblem denna budgetlösa styrning lö- ser och att identifiera möjliga nya problem den medför.

Since July 2005 the major companies listed on the Swedish stock exchanges are required to apply the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance. The code states that companies shall have a nomination committee responsible for nominating new board candidates and seek to obtain gender equality in the Board of Directors. This paper examines the trend of board as well as nomination committee composition among Sweden's 60 largest publicly traded companies between 2005 and 2008. Our overall finding is that neither the board nor the nomination committee composition has changed to a notable extent during the period and that the share of newly appointed female board members has actually decreased. However, the trends vary between different sectors.

Denna rapport har som syfte att ta reda på vilka de viktigaste faktorerna till att mångaprojekt inte klararbudget och tidplan är och vad man bör lägga vikt på i planeringsfasenför att undvika detta. Ämnet valdes för att många projekt drar över budget och tidplanoch det verkade därför intressant att få lite mer kunskap om varför det är så. Enlitteratursökning gjordes för att få en teoretisk grund i ämnet. För att sedan se vadföretag upplever gjordes två empiriska studier på två olika företag. Rapporten kommerfram till att det är väldigt svårt att hitta alla faktorer utan man bör istället fokusera på deviktigaste och att kunna anpassa sig när det uppkommer hinder.

This thesis has been done at the powder department (GH) at AB Sandvik Coromant in Gimo. With a rheometer measurements has been made on raw materials and powder blends. The focus of this report has been to find correlations between raw material powders and press data, comparisons have also been made between raw materials and powder blends.The rheometer can show information of how a powder act in flow conditions, together with air and with pressure. Analyses has been done comparing the rheometer data with press parameters (for example: rejected orders, weight variations and the compaction pressure) with the goal to find correlations between the powders flow properties and the powders compaction in production.The measurements and analyses have been showing that the powder flow properties depends on the powders composition and that properties like flow rate, aeration and permeability varies between powder blends and batches of the same powder sort. It seems to exist a correlation between the pressure force and the flow rate of a raw material.

This is a study about the Swedish liming operation and the Swedish liming officer?s opinions of some aspects regarding ecology, economy and organization. The study objectives was motivated due to the recent changes in manuals for the assessment of limed waters and the suggested changes in decision making and decreased budget for liming. Moreover the anthropogenic acidification effects on the ecology are in many ways complex. Furthermore it was made in order to gain knowledge about the liming officer?s opinions in order to improve the ability to meet their needs regarding the assessment tools and also to investigate if other things can be improved concerning the liming operation.

This Thesis deals with the two concepts branding and position, more precisely how companies with a small marketing budget needs to work with these two concepts. The purpose of this thesis is to understand how these companies are able to assert a position  on their specific market. The thesis treats theories and empirical data to be  able to answer the purposes of the thesis and for the authors to be able to give recommendations of how companies in this situation can improve their marketing strategies. To be able to give these recommendations a more in depth study had been made of a carsharing company, Sunfleet. This to be able to se how a specific company works with branding and positioning as well as what can be improved.

In this essay, I investigate Swedish possibilities to influence the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). After having summarized my findings, I try to explain the structure of influence by using Multi-level governance theory.Ten years have passed since Sweden joined the Union, and many changes have followed in the agricultural sector. By investigating the small country of Sweden's possibilities to influence CAP, I hope to be able to get a notion of the possibilities to influence the EU in general. The essay examines four possible paths for agricultural interests to influence the policy process in Brussels:* Through elected representatives of Sweden in the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers and in the Swedish Parliament* Through subnational institutions, such as the local authorities and regional representatives.* Through the Swedish Agricultural Office* Through the Swedish pressure group within the agricultural area, LRFThese four groups all have very different channels to the policy process on agricultural issues. The differences are mostly in terms of decisive power or advisory power and institutional contacts or lobby contacts.

Sedan introduktionen 1992 har Balanced Scorecard blivit ett alltmer använt ekonomiskt styrsystem i större vinstdrivande företag. Däremot har Balanced Scorecard mer sällan använts i icke-vinstdrivande företag. Få ideella verksamheter använder sig av detta styrmedel, trots att det skulle kunna passa deras organisation bättre, just på grund av att det fokuserar mindre på finansiella mått. När det gäller icke-vinstdrivande organisationer är budget som enda styrsystem oftast inte optimalt. Problem-formulering: Hur fungerar ekonomi- och verksamhetsstyrningen inom den kommunala verksamheten? Hur sätter kommuner mål och hur följs de upp? Är sättet att fastställa mål och mätmetoder likartade eller finns det skillnader?Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur kommunerna Gnesta, Nykvarn och Salem styr sina verksamheter via uppsatta mål och hur de följer upp dem ur ett ekonomiskt- och verksamhetsperspektiv.Metod: En fallstudie har gjorts vid tre kommuner. Primärdata samlades in genom semistrukturerade intervjuer.Teoretiskreferensram: Den teoretiska referensramen baseras på olika formella och informella styrmedel. Som formellt styrmedel behandlas budget medan de informella styrmedel som tas upp är organisationsstruktur, målstyrning, balanserade styrkort, nyckeltal och benchmarking.Empiri: Kapitlet inleds med en presentation av kommunallagen. Vidare presenteras de undersökta kommunernas sätt att styra sina verksamheter.Slutsats: Kommuner uppvisar både likheter och skillnader i sina sätt att fastställa mål och mätmetoder.

The use of a bit in the mouth of a horse is being increasingly questioned with respect to its actual function, and is sometimes judged an obsolete instrument of control with potential to injure the horse. The objective of the research presented herein was twofold; firstly, to investigate the actual pressure load in the mouth of the horse with regard to oral health issues, and, secondly, to investigate whether this could be a viable method to objectively measure strength exerted by a rider/driver to the mouth of the horse especially with regard to training regimes. From the results, it is evident that these newly developed sensors have a future in equine research, although they are still under development. They can be useful both as a pedagogic teaching instrument, providing instructor and pupil with instantaneous, objective feedback on the contact between hand and mouth, as well as an aid in measuring pressure loads from our common bits. .

Vårt syfte är att beskriva och analysera ekonomistyrningen hos dagstidningsföretag samt diskutera olika styrmodellers användbarhet. Vi har använt oss av ett abduktivt tillvägagångssätt och gjort en kvalitativ fallstudie med hjälp av intervjuer. Vi har utgått ifrån den teori som finns skriven om ekonomistyrning i tjänsteföretag samt ett par avhandlingar som behandlar tidningsföretag, dessa har sedan använts som den teoretiska bakgrunden i vår uppsats. Till vår empiri har vi intervjuat fyra dagstidningsföretag: Helsingborgs dagblad, Sydsvenskan, Skånska dagbladet och Skånemedia.De slutsatser vi har kommit fram till är att tidningsföretagen organisatorisk och lednings- och styrmässigt ser relativt lika ut. Det som skiljer de olika företagen åt är valet av styrverktyg, där de implementerat olika styrverktyg. Samtliga företag använder sig dock fortfarande av det mer traditionella styrverktyget budget..

Kritiken mot den traditionella budgeten har ökat sedan 1970-talet och det har blivit allt vanligareatt företag avskaffat budgeten delvis eller helt. Eftersom företag som inte upprättar budgetaristället gör rullande prognoser, väcktes frågan om det går att låna pengar utan en budget somunderlag. Vi blev därför intresserade av att ta reda på om en av de stora affärsbankernaskreditbedömning skiljde sig åt mellan de olika underlagen. För att undersöka detta utförde vi enkvalitativ studie på Svenska Handelsbanken AB eftersom att vi behövde få djupare svar urbankens perspektiv när det gällde möjligheten att låna ut pengar till budgetlösa företag. Vi kundesedan dra slutsatsen att bedömningen av budget och prognoser inte skiljde sig åt och att de kanbetraktas som samma sak ur bankens synvinkel..

The purpose of this study is to examine how employees in an organization using flexible work practices, experience that passive face time influences the evaluated of them.
