This report is the result of a thesis at the company Sanmina in O?rnsko?ldsvik. The thesis is the final work at the mechanical engineering program at Umea? University.Sanmina has in 2015 launched an initiative to ensure that all sites are using LEAN principles and tools to enhance their business. As part of the plan for the LEAN-work, an LSS (Lean Six Sigma)-project has started to study the company's receivehall and inspection.

I övergången från industrialism till post-industrialism förändras städernas ekonomiska förutsättningar och ökar konkurrensen. Städer som tidigare haft en god tillväxt med bas i tillverkningsindustri drabbas av konkurrens från länder som tillhandahåller billigare arbetskraft. I den här situationen väljer många städer att satsa på att stärka sin attraktivitet samt marknadsföra sig för att locka till sig nya invånare, nya företag, turister, externt kapital. En strategi är att satsa på kultur och evenemang. Värdskapet för evenemang kan vid första anblick framstå som en odelat positiv och oproblematisk företeelse, något som gagnar staden med alla dess invånare samt även regionen och landet som helhet.

Jag har fått tillgång till ett intervjumaterial som har gjorts delvis i ett annat syfte och anser att jag har fått ett material som i avseendet kategorisering påminner om naturligt tal. Jag har tagit mina teoretiska utgångspunkter från Foucaults tankar om styrningsrationalitet, normalitet, och disciplinär makt.

Följande examensarbete är ett gestaltningsinriktat planförslag för en ny stationsnära stadsdel i Landskrona stad som vidareutvecklar områdets kollektivtrafiknära läge. Den fysiska utformningen bygger på en nätstruktur med gena stråk och fysiska rumsbildningar som skapar målpunkter, grönstruktur och utblickar i landskapet. Planförslaget baseras på en diskussion om skala, utformning och synintryck med slutsats att den fysiska grundutformningen och byggnadernas arkitektur hör ihop, där nyckeln är variation, mänsklig skala och mängden synintryck som miljön erbjuder. Landskrona är en sundsnära mellanstor stenstad i Skåne med karaktär av befästningsstad, parker, kolonier och tydliga bebyggelseårsringar. Staden har också en industrihistoria som varvsstad där varvskrisen på 1970-talet slog hårt mot staden med stor arbetslöshet till följd. Än idag finns ett verksamt varv kvar och kranmastar utgör ett tydligt riktmärke i staden. I arbetet ligger fokus på skala och utformning, två nybyggnadsprojekt har analyserats, stadsdelen Örestad i Köpenhamn och Bo01-området, Västra Hamnen, Malmö. Även skala och stadsplanemönster i Landskrona har studerats.

This paper describes the development of a simulation model for the ambulance flow in the Västra Götalands-region of Sweden, and an analysis tool for the output of the simulation model. The aim of the simulation model was to be able to evaluate the outcome from changes in the ambulance operations, such as a reorganization of ambulances or an increase in intensity of the ambulance calls. This evaluation is meant to serve as decision support for the strategic planning of the ambulance operations. The analysis tool was developed to visualize the abundant geographical data produced by the simulation model in a meaningful way. The simulation model was validated against historical data which showed that the dispatch time for the highest prioritized ambulance calls corresponds well with historical data.

Syftet med denna studie var att utröna de aspekter medarbetarna ser som väsentliga i utvecklingsprocessen mot ett utökat medarbetarskap. Studien baserades på teorier om förutsättningar och utveckling av medarbetarskap samt dess effekter. Dessutom beskrivs ledarskapets historiska utveckling samt olika teorier om ekonomistyrning. Studien fokuserade på medarbetarnas uppfattning, men verksamhetschefen gav också sin syn på ämnet. Det empiriska materialet i denna fallstudie samlades in genom fyra personliga intervjuer.

The aim of the study is to research if the Sweden Democrats portray themselves in a way that can be described as populistic and xenophobic and also if this portrayal has changed over time.In order to do so, the terms of populism and xenophobia has been defined by research and put together into two separate ideal types. Through the eyes of the two ideal types and their traits, four of the party programs of the Sweden Democrats have been researched to look at how they express themselves in the programs and if it can be connected to some of the traits within the two ideal types.The conclusion is that some of the traits are to be found in the programs, and that this also varies over time. From showing signs of both populism and xenophobia, the populistic traits become less over time, while the xenophobic ones instead increases..

Ronneby torg är beläget centralt i Ronneby stadskärna i sydöstra Blekinge. På denna plats går det att identifiera tre problem som utgör brist på människor (social hållbarhet), rumslighet (mötesplats) och vegetation (ekologisk hållbarhet). Tidigare har torgets södra del innefattat en stadspark vid namn ?Gröna Torget? medan hela torget idag utgörs av en hårdgjord yta med inslag av träd i dess kanter. Det finns ett behov från Ronneby kommun att utveckla torget som en mötesplats, då kommunen utlyst en förslagstävling av just denna anledning.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse the creation and the design of a new public library. In order to concretize this, the study sets out from two examples, the public libraries in Simrishamn and Landskrona. The material used to attain the purpose of the study consists partly of interviews, partly of literature on the subject. To be able to put these two libraries in their historical context, the essay also provides a short overview of the development of public library buildings in Sweden during the 20th century. Another aspect that is discussed is the actual procedure of planning a public library from scratch.

By influencing the phenology of species theclimate also affects the way species interact. If a climate-induced phenology change promotes abasal species to bud earlier in the spring for example, this will affect the links to other species inthe food web due to a time lag in the tropic levels above. By several interviews of the actors at the construction site there have been opinions about the weather situation which has been collected. To get a wide perspective of the problem, field studies from four different construction sites been made.Weather statistics over Halmstad is a mayor part of this report.

This thesis deals with the legislative problem of thin and thick capitalization of subsidiary companies situated abroad. This kind of companies are often used for tax planning purposes, as means for transferring company profit from a high tax state to a low tax state. Today, the legislative flora around the world mainly focuses on the question"how low/high can the capitalization level of the company be, before thin/thick capitalization can be considered to be at hand?". Instead, this thesis raises the question"how far from the optimal capitalization rate is a probable capitalization level for a company, and can this be an alternative approach to legislation?".

Sustainability and the traffics impact on the environment have become increasingly central within spatial planning. For many years, planning has been focusing on building new roads - this has resulted in increased use of automobiles, which many believe is unsustainable in the longer term. Therefore, authorities at national, regional and local level want to increase the use of alternative transport modes ? such as walking, cycling and traveling by bus.The thesis intends to study if the Municipality of Umeå?s policies for sustainable development have led to an increased use of public transportation. The use of public transport in Umeå is also compared with developments at national level, in order to see if there are differences in the level and trend.
