Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att undersöka sexualitetens diskurs i det samtida. Uppsatsen tar sin ansats i socialkonstruktionismen och dess syn på sexualiteten. Här presenterades tidigare forskning, sexualitetens historia berördes och även olika typer av socialpsykologiska perspektiv på sexualiteten redovisades. Vidare var det epistemologiska angreppssättet hermeneutiskt och metoden kvalitativ. Den undersökning som genomfördes, diskursanalys, tog även den sin utgångspunkt ur ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv.

 Tediousness, fear and boredom are all part of everyday?s life for a student. How can a teacher counteract these feelings of boredom and replace them with a feeling of pleasure of learning? Students have to be motivated and want to go to school every day. By comparing student?s experiences of motivation this essays purpose is to create a theory about factors for motivation in education.

This master's thesis is a study of how librarians are depicted in crime fiction. 12 American and English mysterynovels featuring librarians in a central role were studied and analysed using character theory. Recurring traitswere identified and organised into themes. A number of prominent traits and themes emerged that show librariansas orderly and organised bibliophiles, but with a taste for adventure and excitement. They are keen problem solverswho enjoy a challenge, at work, or in the form of crime detection.

Introduction: In this study an innovative and multimodal method in family therapy called NVR, Non-Violent Resistence, is examined. NVR is an approach developed by Haim Omer, professor in psychology at the University of Tel Aviv. This approach is described as coming from the ancient ideological roots used by Gandhi in the Nonviolent resistence of oppressive regimes. NVR advocates that the parents give up the desire to control their children. Instead parents should take control of their own lives by actively resisting any behaviors of the child that are damaging.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka om det spelar någon roll vilken rekryteringspolicy en rekryterare arbetar utifrån när han eller hon väljer ut frågor att ställa till en arbetssökande. Den grundläggande hypotesen var att det skulle bli en skillnad mellan vilka frågor man väljer att ställa om man förses med en rekryteringspolicy som betonar lojalitet jämfört med en som betonar rättvisa. Hypotesen testades på 79 studenter vid Lunds universitet och Malmö högskola. Formuläret innehöll en jobbannons som beskrev ett fiktivt företag och dess rekryteringspolicy. Analysen visade en signifikant huvudeffekt för skillnaden mellan lojalitets- och rättvisebetingelserna (p=.049) såväl som en signifikant effekt för beskrivningen av den ideale medarbetaren (p=.031).

Suicidology deals a lot with taking into consideration significant symptoms, risk factors and establishing causal relationships which inevitably are very important for suicide prevention. But do we understand the suicide attempters better thereby? The aim with the study is to elucidate the meaning of the lived suicidal experience that is expressed by participants on an Internet forum. Ten participants' texts which concerned own suicidality were chosen out from this Internet forum and were analyzed and interpreted on the basis of a phenomenological hermeneutical method inspired by Ricoeur (1976). The result established twelve themes that with the aid of Heidegger (1993) and Derrida (1978, 1991) led to that the following conclusions could be drawn about the meaning of the suicidal lifeworld: suicidal concern and care in itself reduces the sense of identity, practical suicidal doing in itself reduces the world, sense of identity is more affected by the future than the present and the past, the death is escaped from through a calculating determination to have the death at one's disposal, inability to turn away from the death increases oscillating between states of emotions, the surrounding world's requirement to avoiding death becomes to a compulsion to isolate one self; and finally: to both feel anxiety in front of one self's own death and dread when escaping from it..

I Sverige dominerar kvinnorna sjukskrivningstalet, framförallt då det gäller någon form av stressrelaterad ohälsa. I forskning och offentlig debatt är ofta arbetsrelaterad stress i fokus. Denna studie undersöker hur kvinnor som har fått en stressrelaterad diagnos själva ser på orsakerna till sin ohälsa och till att de fått denna diagnos samt hur diagnosförfarandet kan gå till. Resultatet analyseras ur ett könsperspektiv. I denna kvalitativa studie tillfrågades fem läkare om diagnostisering och åtta kvinnor med någon form av stressrelaterad diagnos intervjuades.

Psychological research concerning correction of stereotypes has mainly focused on how individuals adjust their negative attitude towards the out-group due to the apprehension of appearing prejudiced in front of out-grouprepresentatives. This study though, does not deal with estimations of the qualities of the out-group; it deals with estimations of the qualities of the in-group. Does Swedes correct their estimations of their own group when the experiment leader is of another ethnicity and has a different colour of skin? The participants were students at Halmstad Högskola and they were all born and raised in Sweden. Half the participants got to meet a Swedish born, white skinned experiment leader, whereas the other group got to meet an African born, dark skinned experiment leader.

The overarching aim of this paper is to study the professional encounter in its complexity. The requirements for receiving welfare is set by the professional and it's the professionals decision if they are met in the proper manner. This makes the assessment of the clients conditions and the correctness of the assessment hence important. There are several levels which is necessary for the social worker to take into consideration.We have therefore made a socio-analysis by using a theoretical model of Johansson (2006) where he uses the Social Psychology of the encounter to create a model with four levels, which is always present in the professional encounter: structural, positional, relational, and experience level.  Our base was that the one responsible for handling these levels was the professional which led us to search for literature concerning the professional approach.Our study is formed as a qualitative case-study. Our empirical data consist of qualitative interviews with four social workers handling social allowance.The results shows that the complexity of the professional encounter requires a professional approach.

Hand raising is a common method in schools and a way for students to engage in the classrooms turn-allocation (Andersson & Haglund 2006, p 35), but not all benefit from it. According to Dylan Wiliam (2011) hand raising divides the students by putting the students that participate in hand raising at an advantage versus the students that do not. This study aims to examine hand raising as a phenomenon and the students and teachers thoughts about hand raising. The main research questions were:How do the students perceive hand raising?How do the teachers reflect upon hand raising?How is hand raising usedas a tool by the students?The main reference to this study has been senior lecture Fritjof Sahlströms (1999) thesis Up the Hill Backwards.

Bakgrund: Enligt tidigare forskning leder oinfriade förväntningar hos en nyanställd till sämre arbetsprestation och slutligen till frivillig avgång. Vi har i vår undersökning sett närmare på vilken betydelse förväntningar har för den nyanställdes arbetsupplevelse, då vi tagit utgångspunkt i bland annat Vrooms förväntningsteori. Undersökningen har gjorts på en av våra egna arbetsplatser, då vi upplevde att många av de nyanställda tidigt valde att lämna organisationen och vi såg ouppfyllda förväntningar som en möjlig anledning till detta Syfte: Vårt syfte med arbetet är att genom ett begränsat antal intervjuer på fallföretaget, ta reda på om de nyanställdas förväntningar inför det nya arbetet motsvarar den verklighet de sedan möter. Detta för att kunna skapa en förståelse för vilken betydelse annonsen och anställningsintervjun har för den nyanställdes förväntningar. Metod: Vi har genom en kvalitativmetod gjort en intervjuundersökning på vårt fallföretag. Resultat: Vi kom i studien fram till att den anställde genom anställningssamtalet fått en realistisk bild av vad arbetet skulle gå ut på.

Det coachande ledarskapet är ett ledarskap som fokuserar på samspelet mellan ledare och medarbetare. För att studera detta ledarskap så har syftet med denna undersökning varit att undersöka upplevelserna av detta ledarskap som personer med beteendevetenskaplig utbildning har. Resultatet visar att undersökningsdeltagarna värderar relationen mellan ledaren och medarbetaren som det grundläggande i ledarskapet. Förutom det coachande förhållningssättet i ledarskapet så handlar det också om hur ledaren är och vilka egenskaper han eller hon har. Det viktigaste är att ha kunskap om sig själv och sitt eget beteende som ledare och här är emotionell intelligens betydelsefullt.

The purpose of this study was to examine interpersonal problems and its relationship to the working alliance in psychotherapy. To examine this, data was used from Umeå and Lund University psychology practice client database, which clients responded to by using the self-assessment scales Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex Scales and the Working Alliance Inventory. The sample consisted of 201 participants that answered the questionnaires both before and after psychotherapy. A second sample consisted of 93 clients who specifically sought help for interpersonal problems. Results showed that the level of interpersonal problems before and after psychotherapy changes.

Nature and garden have always had meaning in human's life and succesfully seen as having health giving effects. Health is a state of equilibrium between physical, psychological, social and spiritual well-being. The individual's health is depending of how the society looks and how the individual manages to live her life in it. Stress is one of our time's large public health problems and leads in some cases to burned out syndrome. Stay in nature gives recovery according to theories of environmental psychology.

Dikterna "Självbiografi" och "Partitur" kan ses som ett bidrag till 60-talets seenderelativistiska litterära debatt, genom att de visar hur ett liv som är präglat av 'osynlighet' och oförstående kan uppfattas som ett "döden-i-livet"-tillstånd. Men de visar även hur man genom dialog kan åstadkomma en förändring. I "Självbiografi" synliggörs två dialoger. En inre dialog i form av minnets cirkularitet mellan nu och då och en yttre mellanmänsklig dialog som blir synlig genom diktjagets replik. I dessa dialogers möte formas en kritik mot patriarkatets selektiva seende, i såväl den litterära traditionen som den samtida seenderelativistiska litterära debatten. Kritiken kommer till uttryck i potatismetaforen och visar att en ohälsosam yttre miljö påverkar det inre och gör att en 'osynlig' människa, bildligt talat, ruttnar bort.
