Syftet är kunna utföra mätningar före och efter en operation för att på så vis avgöra om operationen lyckats. Det som eftersträvas med verktyget är objektiva och kvantiserade mätningar. Mätningarna kan på det här sättet jämföras mellan olika patienter och sparas som underlag för framtida undersökningar. Verktyget som utvecklats består av en mätenhet som fäst vid patienten, utan att påverka gången, samt en mjukvara vilken visar upp resultatet samt sparar detta på en närliggande dator. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelse av palliativ omvårdnad i hemmet. Till analysen har använts tio internationella vetenskapliga artiklar publicerade mellan år 1995-2002. Dessa analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterades i fyra kategorier: att vara ensam, hjälplös och skuldtyngd men ändå se arbetet meningsfullt, att vara öppen och ärlig, att planera och prioritera tiden ger en känsla av kontroll samt att förebygga och lindra fysiska symptom. En tänkbar omvårdnadsintervention i palliativ omvårdnad är att sjuksköterskan får kontinuerlig yrkesmässig vägledning för att växa i sin yrkesroll och kunna fortsätta att ge god omvårdnad till patienter och deras närstående i livets slut.

Critique regarding religious practices has become more and more apparent in today's society.Sans magazine has become a voice in the Swedish debate regarding religions undertakings and have received opposition from various directions. As Sans magazine, issue no.1, is accused of being islamophobic, the critique is focused on the internal discourse within the atheist and agnostic society. As Sans issue no.2 came out, it did not focus on Islam or any of the abrahamic religions but instead it discussed New age and the nature of pseudoscience.I sought to evolve the didactic discource regarding ?truth? and ?reality? by finding if thediscourse within Sans is apparent and if so, what it is based upon. The analysis also focuses onthe terms used to describe new age and pseudoscience.

AbstractPURPOSE: The aim of this study was to describe and compare possible differences regarding selected prognostic factors for disability between patients with non-specific chronic pain who were about to start a multidisciplinary treatment program (MMR), either within primary care (MMR1) or hospital care (MMR2).METHODS: The study had a descriptive and comparative cross sectional design. Eighty-nine patients were recruited consecutively when they were about to start their team treatment (50 in MMR1,39 in MMR2). The measurements were; Evaluation of self-reported self-efficacy for eight daily activities (STIVA-8), The Pain Belief Screening Instrument (PBSI) and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).RESULTS: The study found some significant differences between the answers from patients in MMR1 and those from patients in MMR2. For instance, patients in MMR2 estimated lower self-efficacy according to STIVA-8 than patients in MMR1. Also, there were fewer low risk patients and more high risk patients in MMR2 than in MMR1 regarding pain intensity according to PBSI.

In this essay I analyze the way my collection of poetry relates to the concept cyclic. What is cyclic and what different interpretations are there concerning the concept? Which other related concepts are there regarding things that seem to reoccur regularly? How does the cyclical, the circular, relate to the linear in regard, for example, to the perception of time? Life often creates the sense that different phenomena and experiences repeat themselves. Different processes are conducted according to regular or irregular cyclical phases, situations seem familiar and events can be relived.         Starting from my writing project Sinnligt kviller, a collection of poems, I discuss these questions in themselves and the impact they have had on my collection. I describe the phenomenon cyclic as a result of the emotions and moods this term creates in a more or less decisive way.         The intention with this paper is to show how Sinnligt kviller offers different perspectives of and reflections upon the various feelings provoked by the cyclic in our lives, feelings that are given my own voice in the literary text under study..

The purpose of this randomized controlled study was to investigate the effect of internet- administered guided self-help for women suffering from psychological problems following traumatic childbirth. The eight-week treatment program consisted of written chapters based on cognitive behavioral therapy. 56 participants were randomly assigned to a treatment group (n = 28) or a waiting list group (n = 28).The results showed that post-traumatic symptoms decreased as a result of the treatment, with large within-group effects measured by both the Traumatic Event Scale (TES) (d = 1.33) and the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R) (d = 1.3). The difference between the groups was only significant when measured by the IES-R in which case the between-group effect was large (d = 0.97). The proportion of the participants who showed clinically significant improvement was considerably greater in the treatment group than in the waiting list group.

The thesis strives to reveal the dynamics between a central and a peripheral shopping area in Kalmar, Sweden. The establishment of larger shopping centers has become a hallmark of postindustrial cities. Cities globally are at risk of creating an urban economic rift between the central and peripheral shopping areas. By establishing major shopping venues around the traditional central business districts, cities hope to create a larger customer hinterland and thereby also increased economic growth. The aim of this thesis is answered by two research questions regarding collaboration and competition between two shopping areas; the central Kvarnholmen and peripheral Hansa City Mall.

Girls are more successful in school and receive better grades than boys. The explanation that is given for this is that pupils are limited by far to rigid gender roles (DEJA 2010). This essay investigates how the author Oline Stig creates identities for her main characters in three short stories; Midsommar, Polly Maggoo and Den längsta dagen from the collection Den andra himlen (2007).My investigation is based on concepts chosen from psychology and narratology: First, Jonas Stier?s definition of human identity.
