Tidigare forskning inom studentliv och studenternas framgång är ett väl undersökt område. Könsskillnader, känsla av sammanhang (KASAM) och socialt stöd är några av de faktorer som har visats påverka studenternas akademiska self-efficacy. Studiens syfte var att undersöka relationen mellan kön, KASAM, socialt stöd och studenternas akademiska self-efficacy. 124 högskolestudenter i Mellansverige deltog genom att svara på en enkät bestående av College Academic Self-efficacy Scale, Social Support Questionnaire 6 (SSQ6) samt Sense of Coherence scale (SOC-13). Materialet analyserades med Pearsonkorrelation, regressionsanalys och t-test.

This thesis is about informal seatings, those which are planned to merge into the city core environment and to supply a flexible public space. The thesis discusses how a diverse range of elements could result in different functions and social meanings. These are illustrated with visual examples and conceptual drawings. The position of the seating in a small public place is important, as well as its location in the city. Furthermore, the detail design of the seating, such as the form and dimensions have to be considered in order to create an informal seating appropriate for the user. This leads to the broad scope of this thesis which deals with the small scale - how the seatings can create a good environment in a small place; and the big scale - how a site can influence the city. This thesis suggests the physical design of some informal seatings and also investigates how these seatings can strengthen the place through their function and how they relate to their surroundings.

This master thesis aims to investigate and quantify the potential associated with increasing the usage of edible by-products as food for human consumption on the Swedish market. The main emphasis is on the Swedish production of offal and the obstacles that currently inhibit greater usage of these products as foods.The results indicate that the Swedish market for offal is limited. Only a small amount of the edible by-products that are produced in Sweden every year are consumed as foods and a considerable amount seem to be downgraded into animal feed or thrown away. The utilization of these products is restricted by economical, technical, legal, and cultural factors that all need to be taken into consideration. On the whole, large-scale slaughter plants seem to be more inclined to utilize these products effectively, as the profit from doing so increases proportionately to the produced volumes.

Stroke is caused by a bleeding or infarct in the brain and is one of the most common diseases in Sweden today. The purpose of the study was to evaluate if Ronnie Gardiner?s Rhythm Therapy (RGR-therapy) has any effect, regarding motor control and the subjective experienced health related quality of life, on people who have been affected by stroke. The examination group consisted of eight people. The intervention consisted of RGR-therapy once a week during a period of nine weeks.

The aim of this study was to examine how children in the age of 5 are communicating in play at the preschool and how their fantasy games are different from each other. In this study, I have gained a greater insight on how to control children's imagination games.My approach has been the observation of three fun times where I also used me out of a voice recorder to record children's voices when their children are communicating with each other during the time of play at the preschool.The results of my study showed that children's fantasy games based on children's past experiences in which children use different themes and characters. The children's communication activities are different from each other. Children have different themes but the deck is based on imagination and communication.Fantasy games that children perform is rooted in the experiences that children get through to experience and see the reality.

Trots akillessenans storlek och styrka är skador i senan relativt vanligt förekommande. Kliniska symptom vid akillestendinopati är smärta, framförallt vid belastning, svullnad diffust eller lokaliserat i och runt akillessenan. Akillestendinopati kan behandlas konservativt och operativt. Idag används vanligen träning, i synnerhet excentrisk träning, som rutinbehandling vid rehabilitering av akillessenproblematik. Därutöver har nya konservativa behandlingsmetoder tillkommit och fått allt större spridning.

Enligt Hälso- och sjukvårdslagens ska behandling systematiskt utvecklas och säkras (HSL, SFS 1982:763). Logopedisk röstbehandling är inte ett undantag. I ett samverkansprojekt mellan Linköpings Universitet och sydöstra sjukvårdsregionen deltog sex logopedmottagningar genom att låta patienter som erhöll röstbehandling att fylla i självskattningsformuläret Rösthandikappindex, RHI, vid behandlingsstart och behandlingsslut. Projektets mål var att fungera som en utgångspunkt för framtida, systematiska förbättringsarbeten beträffande röstbehandling.Denna studie har ett tvådelat syfte. Den ämnar undersöka om summan av deltagarnas RHI-skattningar förändrades efter genomgången röstbehandling och huruvida ålder, röstkrav inom yrket samt antalet behandlingstillfällen påverkade resultatet av skattningarna.

The aim of this project was to look into ten small sewer systems in the municipality of Laholm, in Sweden, in order to work out common assessment grounds for them. The sizes of the systems for purification of wastewater were within the range of 25 to 2000 population equivalents. Our method was to study literature, the laws and regulations applicable and the files at the municipality. The conclusion is that every sewer system is different and every situation is unique. We concluded that based on laws and assessment grounds sewer systems equal in size and pollution load ought to have similar demands attached to them.

People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Det är känt att tandläkare har en ökad frekvens muskuloskeletala besvär från nacke, övre extremiteter och rygg samt upplever mycket stress i sitt arbete. Studier har visat att tandläkare som har dessa besvär upplever sin arbetssituation som mer otillfredsställande och rapporterar mer ångest samt visar sämre psykosocial hälsa.Studien har genomförts med syfte att undersöka frekvensen av muskuloskeletala besvär, stressrelaterade symptom, skillnader mellan de som arbetade i offentlig respektive privat regi samt skillnader mellan kvinnliga och manliga tandläkare. I Uddevalla och Vänersborg valdes ut 32 tandläkare, 16 vardera från privata och offentliga mottagningar. Åtta kvinnor respektive män i vardera gruppen. Undersökningen gjordes i form av en enkätstudie.

In this essay I analyze the way my collection of poetry relates to the concept cyclic. What is cyclic and what different interpretations are there concerning the concept? Which other related concepts are there regarding things that seem to reoccur regularly? How does the cyclical, the circular, relate to the linear in regard, for example, to the perception of time? Life often creates the sense that different phenomena and experiences repeat themselves. Different processes are conducted according to regular or irregular cyclical phases, situations seem familiar and events can be relived.         Starting from my writing project Sinnligt kviller, a collection of poems, I discuss these questions in themselves and the impact they have had on my collection. I describe the phenomenon cyclic as a result of the emotions and moods this term creates in a more or less decisive way.         The intention with this paper is to show how Sinnligt kviller offers different perspectives of and reflections upon the various feelings provoked by the cyclic in our lives, feelings that are given my own voice in the literary text under study..

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka huruvida vissa didaktiska tillvägagångssätt kan öka motivationen hos gymnasieelever inför studier av äldre texter samt i vilken utsträckning valfrihet och medbestämmande är viktigt inför arbetet med dessa. Könsrelaterade jämförelser görs. Tidigare forskning presenteras och en empirisk kvantitativ undersökning med enkäter genomförs, baserad på SCAS (Swedish Core Affect Scale) i reducerad form. Ett 1500-talsepos presenteras medelst olika didaktiska metoder för elever som löpande noterar graden av motivation på en niogradig skala bestående av adjektivpar.Studien visar att vissa didaktiska tillvägagångssätt ökar elevers motivation. Berättande samt rörliga bilder i kombination med tal och musik visar sig vara de mest stimulerande metoderna, gärna anknytning till universella teman och perspektiv.

This study was conducted in Kkingo district, west of Masaka, Uganda. It compared soil macrofauna abundance in non-agroforestry farms with that of agroforestry farms. The agroforestry farms had participated in the Vi Agroforestry´s program between 1995 and 2006, and continued on their own after 2006, when Vi Agroforestry left the area. The soil macrofauna is important for soil structure and processes that are contributing to soil organ-ic matter decomposition and nutrient mineralization. They are also predators of potential pests.

BakgrundI Sverige bor 72 % av barnen med sina båda biologiska föräldrar. I min hemkommun bor 78% av barnen med sina båda biologiska föräldrar. I mitt arbete som föräldrarådgivare träffar jag dock påfallande ofta föräldrar som är frånskilda. Det visade sig att en majoritet av de föräldrar Föräldrarådgivningen träffar är frånskilda. Men, hur ser det ut inom andra socionomers arbetsområden? Jag började också undra över denna omvändning av statistiken.
