The purpose of this study is to explore how teachers in Sweden and Croatia work with children that have problems like ADHD and dyslexia in school. I have chosen to compare pedagogical methods between Swedish and Croatian teachers which are used in work with children with difficulties when it comes to the education and teachers approach to these children. I have done a qualified study and have interviewed teachers in both Sweden and Croatia and one specialist in pedagogy in Croatia. I compared with these interviews information from earlier studies and literature. Results show that teachers in Sweden are of the opinion that every student who has these difficulties is different and therefore the use a variation of pedagogical strategies is crucial.

This essay aims to explore continuity in water centric cult within the period of the Christianization of Scandinavia (ca 800-1100 AD) and to understand the changing of symbolism of water in pre-Christian cult and early Christian religion. It has previously been thought that Christian priests took over the old holy wells and renamed them after saint, all to ease the pagan people into a Christian lifestyle. But archaeological evidence shows that the cult at these wells, and other water centric sites, where almost completely abandoned a few hundred years before the Christians came to Scandinavia. The Christians should not have felt the need to transform this tradition since it was only practiced in a very small and supposedly private scale. On the contrary, religious activities at these wells seems to increase with the new religion and perhaps this is explained by Christianity itself.

Uppsatsen Ungdomars världsbild och värdekartor är en C-uppsats som utförts för att få en uppfattning om ungdomars världsbild och värdekartor i dagens pluralistiska och sekulariserade samhälle. Syftet var att få en uppfattning om vad ungdomar anser vara värdefullt i sina liv, då vår uppfattning var att religionen tappat betydelse för ungdomar idag. Vi utgick från ungdomarnas förhållande till sig själva, ut mot förhållandet till signifikanta andra, för att sedan gå vidare och utforska deras förhållande till kultur, natur och religion. Vi ville med detta undersöka vad som var mest värdefullt för ungdomarna inom dessa kategorier, för att se om vi med hjälp av dessa svar kan bilda oss en uppfattning avungdomars världsbild och hur de orienterar sig i världen. Vi samlade in materialet genom en enkätundersökning, 97 enkäter delades ut till ungdomar som går sista året pågymnasiet.

Mass communication today stands for a great number of information in the developed welfare state of Sweden. This was also the case during the social and economic financial crisis in 2008-2011. This essay is a work on Mircea Eliades's interpretation of the religious human understood as "homo religiosus" and the role of the shaman from the Eliade perspective. Denna studies syfte har varit att undersöka om tre samhällsorienterade läromedel riktade mot mellanstadiet (Puls grundbok i samhällskunskap och religion samt SOL 3000s grundbok i religion) lever upp till Kumashimos teori om en undervisning som förändrar elever och samhälle med hänsyn till normer om kön och sexualitet, så som dessa formulerats av Judith Butler. Studien har med hjälp av diskursanalytiska verktyg visat att så inte är fallet. Istället visar studien att läromedlen till största delen osynliggör både genusvetenskapliga och queera perspektiv, även om det även finns tendenser till diskursiv kamp mellan könskonservativa och könsprogressiva diskurser. Bakgrunden till studien är de förtydligade målsättningarna för arbete med genus i skolans senaste styrdokument Läroplan för grundskolan 2011. Studien har en resultatdel där man finner läromedlens tal om kön och sexualitet.

I studien undersöks individers olika behandling i det svenska skolsystemet utifrån etnisk, kulturell och religiös härkomst. Fokus ligger på skolans styrdokument och den teoretiska utgångspunkten är den universalistiska och mångkulturalistiska perspektiven på hur en individ ska behandlas och vilka fri- och rättigheter den ska kunna åtnjuta. Studien belyser de olika perspetiven och eventuella spänningar dem emellan. Slutsaten är att båda perspektiven finns representerade i styrdokumenten och att spänningar faktiskt existerar. Där till konstateras det att det universalistiska perspektivet alltid har ett övertag gentemot det mångkulturalistiska.

The present thesis deals with Qur'anic Studies among Turkish immigrants inSweden. The aim is to investigate the significance of Qur'anic Studies forMuslims in a country like Sweden. This thesis also highlights the role ofthe Turkish state in encouraging and funding Qur'anic Studies in Sweden.I have carried out a case study on a Mosque outside Stockholm, where anImam, sent by the Turkish government, is in charge of the Qur'anic Studies.It is found that Qur'anic Studies is important for Muslims in Sweden in theirefforts to preserve their religious identity. The aim of this thesis is to investigate which criteria that can be used to locate execution sites on the island of Gotland, Sweden. The execution sites, which are used to test the criteria against, range in date from early medieval period to 1876 when the last public execution in Sweden took place. Why these criteria can be used will be discussed along with attempts to explain why they have been used frequently or not so frequent. The results show that the execution sites are most commonly located in clear view, near roads, on heights and on unfertile soil. Other criteria that appears less frequent, but that still can be used in the process of locating execution sites, are graves, crossroads and boarders..
