This master thesis is a story about the development of a rosary in Lomma hamn. During spring 2004 I attended a competition arranged by the municipality of Lomma and SLU Alnarp. The assignment was to design a rosary. The jury liked my ideas and invited me to proceed and develop them. The rosary in Lomma hamn was built in 2006. The Lomma hamn area is being developed as a new part of Lomma.

2. SUMMARY A small garden exposed to a harsh coastal climate can be difficult to design. Limitations in space and in plant varieties increase the needs of an in-depth knowledge to achieve wanted goals. In this degree project the challenge has been to create a functional and position adapted garden for a very small beach house lot in Mölle, a little harbour village at the south coast of Kullaberg. ?Villa Malm?, is situated directly on the bedrock in a close settlement where the gardens, in most cases are very small and exposed to strong salty winds.

The purpose of the essay is to differentiate the medial assumption of why Smilewas never released and also investigate to what extent media have influenced this assumption.The medial assumption is compared to actual events of the time of the abandonment andthe difference is then being discussed in a media-theoretical perspective.The theoretical framework is based on theories by Denis McQuail. His ideas aboutmedia's influences on the reception of its audience are of great importance for the essay andthe notions of agenga-setting and framing has a central role.Finally the conclusion is drawn that the medial assumption is a simplified and distortedexplanation to why Smile was never released. The actual events discover several alternativereasons, but media choose to focus on the assumption that gain them the most (they set theagenda and frame the information to their advantage) and present it as the only reason to theabandonment of Smile..

Går det att nå en association som skapar en känsla av betraktarens egen kropp? Jag har frågat mig om ett objekt kan upplevas kroppsligt och på vilket sätt jag kan hitta det i mitt material. Jag har varit upptagen av att hitta den punkt där materialets kvaliteter indirekt refererar till betraktarens kropp. Att i betraktandet framkalla erfarenheten i din kropp.Intuitivt har jag prövat mig fram, steg för steg - ett samarbete mellan min kropp och materialet tills materialet har blivit sin egen kropp - ett objekt. Jag arbetar i dialog med materialets natur; hur det följer tyngdlagen och påverkas av rummet och ljusets verkningar.

Small pieces of plastic, termed ?micro plastic? in the oceans derive mainly from degradation of big plastics such as beach littering, but also from sources of direct emission from e.g. beauty scrubbers and synthetic sand-blasting. These micro plastics are ingested by marine animals ? mistaking them for plankton ? or via prey.

The travelling sector is expanding worldwide, which puts all destinations under pressure to have a functioning social system and good resources to manage the problems and take advantage of the opportunities that the tourism sector can offer a community. The area around Kisumu in Kenya, like much of Africa, tourism can simultaneously ensure a stable financial future while it removes, as a result of a growing population, more and more of the scenery that many tourists want to experience. Responsible travel to natural areas that promotes conservation of the environment and improves the welfare of local people is what defines ecotourism. A concept that implies a closed cycle, where visitor?s needs are met in balance with what can be given back, without risking creating imbalances in society. Along the coast of Lake Victoria, valuable papyrus wetlands provide Kisumu vital ecosystem services such as water purification, climate adaptation while it also serves as a reservoir for biodiversity.

Utgångspunkten för uppsatsen är att studera relationen mellan vissa aspekter av form och innehåll i tre kortare prosatexter. Dessa aspekter är framförallt berättarinstans, berättelsens uppbyggnad, och det i två av texterna utryckliga temat förändring. De valda texterna är kortromanen På Chesil Beach av Ian McEwan (2007), novellen ?Döden i Damaskus? av Anna-Karin Palm (2001) och kortromanen Berömmelse av Daniel Kehlmann (2010).Litteraturvetenskapliga perspektiv och analysredskap är valda med tanke på att en av texterna påstår något om berättarens funktion, och att en av de andra texterna resonerar kring vad en berättelse är. De narratologiska verktygen faller sig därför naturliga.

Uppsatsen syftar till att identifiera livsstilsmigranters identitetsskapande och skapandet av infrastruktur genom att analysera migrationsprocessen och det vardagliga livet på destinationen. Fokus ligger på svenska livsstilsmigranter som är antingen permanent boende, återvändare, säsongsmigranter eller ambulerande besökare på Phuket. Genom att angripa syftet med ett transnationalistiskt perspektiv visar uppsatsen att migrationsprocessen och identitetsskapandet är konstant föränderligt utan definitivt slut. Empirimaterialet består av kvalitativa intervjuer med svenskar som livsstilsmigrerat till Phuket samt observationer i Patong och Kamala beach. Livsstilsmigration till värmen har pågått under flera årtionden men flödena av livsstilsmigranter till Thailand är relativt nya och lite forskning om dessa flöden har bedrivits.  Det svenska transnationella nätverket har byggt upp en infrastruktur på Phuket som tar sig form i en svensk grundskola, svenska kyrkan, lokaltidningar på svenska samt flertalet svenskägda hotell och restauranger som serverar skandinavisk mat.

The European history of bath has its roots in the Greek culture about 2500 years ago. In every Greek town was situated at least one center of culture, a gymnasium, that contained bath establishements, areas for physical training, restaurants, librarys and readingrooms. Already 400 B.C. Hippokrates, founder of the art of healing, spoke for the waters important qualities in medical treatements. After the Greeks the Romans overtook and maintained the polished manners of bathing, and thanks to them the culture spread to the north of Europe. During the middleages the art of swimming was well respected among soldiers and knights, and was frequently practised in tournament games and competitions. At the same time the bathhouses were developed in the towns of Europe.

Background and problem: In Croatia, the hotel industry has undergone difficult and unstable conditions since the 90s. Since 2001, however the results in the sector has improved due to increased investment in the renovation of facilities and construction of new hotels.Purpose: The study aims to examine hotel operations on the Makarska Riviera on the basis of tourist business perspective, and examine its quality, service and accessibility.Method: In this study we used a qualitative approach. The survey was conducted through structured interviews and a non-participant observation.Result and conclusions: Satisfied and fulfilled employees, in turn that the hotels will have satisfied customers and may have profitable operations. Many hotels aim at constantly working to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. When measuring customer satisfaction, many hotel owners felt that the service is good and that they have received a good response from their guests.

A well-planned grave with a sustainable selection of plants facilitates easy maintenance for both staff and the holder of the right of burial. It also helps reduce the negative impact on the environment.As in many other areas, the environment is high on the agenda within the cemetery administration. One of the major concerns is the impact of the choice of plants for the grave. Within the industry there is a great motivation and willingness to adapt to a sustainable work mode and this has spawned a number of project works. In autumn 2009 the partnership project, ?Environmental aspects of planning and maintaining graves?, was started in Movium (at The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences).

This paper examines how to use different kinds of source material for building surveys. The studyexamines how to use legends, construction archaeological surveys and Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR) as source material, and use them against each other to ensure the reliability they have.As a starting point I used Gräfsnäs castle ruin in Alingsås, Sweden, as an example. Gräfsnäs castlewas probably built in the Middle Ages and was rebuilt through the ages until it became a ruin in thelate 1800s. The castle ruin is today Alingsås most visited attraction.The investigation has focused on three areas which are located in the very ruin; rescue tunnels, thecellar vault and the treasure.There are legends that describe how the castle lord of Gräfsnäs fled an attack of the Danes in 1612 ina rescue tunnel which ended at The Beach. At the construction archaeological surveys carried out in1935-36 they found a sewer in the courtyard that was once served as rescue tunnel and ended in themoat.

Through two months of participant observations and semi-structured interviews this thesis seeks to answer the question of how these reforms has come to effect the work of teachers in a medium sized public school in a small municipality in the outskirts of Stockholm. Earlier research has shown that public schools in socio-economically vulnerable areas are disadvantaged due to the reformation of the school system (Beach & Sernhede, 2011; Östh, Andersson, & Malmberg, 2013).

The loss of habitat is one of the greatest threats to global biodiversity today. Consequences to a species inhabiting fragmented habitats include: group size changes, altered diets and altered foraging behaviours. In my study I observed Colobus anlgolensis palliatus troops living in the forests of Diani, a highly developed area on the Kenyan coast. I looked for differences in behaviours between three troops inhabiting pristine forest patches and three troops inhabiting highly degraded forest areas. I used focal animal sampling with instantaneous sample points.
