This master thesis is a story about the development of a rosary in Lomma hamn. During spring 2004 I attended a competition arranged by the municipality of Lomma and SLU Alnarp. The assignment was to design a rosary. The jury liked my ideas and invited me to proceed and develop them. The rosary in Lomma hamn was built in 2006.
The Lomma hamn area is being developed as a new part of Lomma. The rosary is part of a long stretched park, called Midskeppsparken, situated one city block away from the beach. The rosary is included in the first stage of development in Lomma hamn, which will continue for several years.
This thesis describes the project of realizing the rosary - from sketch to built result. It describes the different stages of development ? proposal, planning, construction and result. It also, as a summary, contains thoughts about the future. Focus is on statements, reflections and the way problems are solved.
The intention with this thesis is to tell the story of how an idea becomes reality.
