In this essay there will be four text books from grade 1 studied, the first one are from the year 1976 and it will be going forward to the year 2012. The aim of this study is to see how the genders are depicted and represented, as well as what roles the genders are given. I do also want to see if there is a notable change in this over time. I will be doing a study based on the quantity of the contents, and I will also be doing a critical discourse analysis.The result of the study showed that there were more gender-based constructions that referred to women in all of the four books, which indicates that women are represented more often in these reading books. It is most common to portray the genders in their stereotypical roles, which again are present in society, but sometimes these roles are depart from what?s present in society.

Is the Swedish author Stig Dagerman an existentialist? This work takes a close look at Dagerman?s novel Island of the Doomed to see if it is possible to consider it an expression of existentialist thinking and to see if it interacts with any specific existentialist tradition. Dagerman?s novel was compared with select works of five existentialist thinkers ? Søren Kierkegaard, Martin Heidegger, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Karl Jaspers, all read in the light of the four categories of existentialistic thinking identified by the Swedish scholar Lennart Koskinen. All the four categories appeared to be central themes within the novel and a few subcategories were identified.

The aim of this study is to analyze how two different education books produce christianity and islam. The analyzed books is from 2003 and 2008 and the books are adapted for the last years of primary school. The meaning and translation of words is often a problem and can get the reader wrong understaning of the religion. The analyze include the perspective of this meaning and how the sacred things are described in each religion.The textanalyze is made with different criterias; the context, the pre- understanding and if the text is objectiv is some of the most important. The language is important too.

This essay is about two Swedish folk musicians, Anders Rosén and Leif Stinnerbom, who have been playing two important rolls in the developing process of Swedish folk music, on their separate ways. The main part of this work is focused on the era called ?The Folk Music Vogue?, which was the era when my informants were in the limelight on the Swedish fiddler scene of the 70s.Our music culture is constantly lying under the change of progress and I find it interesting to reflect how these kinds of changes are affecting the role of the musician.In this essay I am reflecting on the different perspectives of the musicianship according to my informants and how they both are referring to their role as musicians. The purpose is further on to see how they have been relating to the change of progress on the field of the Swedish folk music during the 70s and up to this date. Throughout interviews with the informants I am analyzing their personal relationship to their life as folk musicians.

The forest and its history, along with recreational development has in many ways shaped today?s rights of public access, but there is also an age-old tradition of public access that has affected how we have used the forest, and that also has enabled the development of outdoor recreation. Many are unaware of this, which causes misunderstanding to appear around the rights of public access and how it is supposed to be used.The essay opens with historical descriptions of public access, the Swedish forest and outdoor recreation, to thereby provide a picture of how these three fields have influenced each other over the centuries. This is followed by a description of the current access rights and the problems associated with those, and a description of other countries' equivalent of the right of public access.

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.

Denna uppsats syftar till att analysera hur begreppen genus och etnicitet representeras i läroböcker för grundskoleelever i svensk grundskola. Fokus ligger på åldersgruppen 14-15 år och inriktningen gäller särskilt förhistoria och hur begreppen genus och etnicitet kommer till uttryck både vad gäller text som bild. En jämförelse och utgångspunkt i denna analys är diskussionen om människans ursprung så som den beskrivs i framförallt svensk populärvetenskap samt hur denna diskussion relaterar till genus- och etnicitetsbegreppen. Anledningen till att det är av särskild vikt att diskutera och analysera dessa begrepp är på grund av att den svenska skolans styrdokument är mycket tydliga i sina rekommendationer att implementera dessa båda begrepp för att på så sätt undvika polariseringar och värderingar av personer utifrån t.ex. kön eller härkomst..

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the high school textbook on religious studies differences in how Christian ethics and in what way it is presented in comparison with the presentation of Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism and it´s ethics. The analyzed material is textbooks from the late 1960s to the 2010s. Due to the survey´s nature the focus is first and foremost the chapters dealing with religious ethical issues and what amount of pages or space the different religions are given in the books. The results from the textbooks are compared with the curriculum that is or was effective during the time the books were published. This is done to determine whether there is a clear link between the books and the guidelines of the curriculum.

Samtidigt som användningen av alkohol har minskat i den utvecklade delen av världenökar den i utvecklingsländerna. Alkoholanvändningen har både kulturell och social meningmen är samtidigt relaterad till flera hälsoskadliga- och sociala problem. Studiens syfte var attbeskriva hur personer med inflytelserika uppdrag i en massajby i Tanzania uppleveralkoholanvändningen samt dess följder för såväl invånarna som för byn. Vidare var syftet attbeskriva deras upplevelser av religion och traditions betydelse för alkoholanvändningen.Kvalitativa, semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes utifrån en intervjuguide med ettändamålsenligt urval av tio respondenter. Data analyserades med manifest innehållsanalys.

Ämnet för denna studie är skolkultur. Syftet är att analysera Läroplanen för det svenska obligatoriska skolväsendet, Lpo 94, med särskilt fokus på den ideologi som går att finna, samt hur skolans kultur - här i fråga om individsyn, kunskapssyn och pedagogiska tradition påverkar synen på elever och utformandet av undervisningen. Studien är en innehållslig idéanalys. Det empiriska materialet består av Lpo 94 och mediapresentationer där det framgår hur Lpo 94 kan tolkas och förverkligas. Mediamaterialet är hämtat under hösten 2007 i en västsvensk kommuns lokaltidning och från den aktuella kommunens hemsida.

Uppsatsen behandlar de sakrättsliga reglerna beträffande byggnad på ofri grund. Den behandlar problematiken kring överlåtelse och pantsättning samt säkerhetsöverlåtelser som sakrättsligt betraktas som vanlig överlåtelse men i praktiken fungerar som pantsättning. Vid överlåtelse och säkerhetsöverlåtelse fungerar avtalet ensamt som sakrättsligt moment medan det vid pantsättning krävs tradition. Problemet med att ha avtalet som sakrättsligt moment är att omsättningsskyddet försvinner, d.v.s. godtrosförvärv blir omöjligt.

The intention of this study is to find out how the English subject takes form and develops in the early years in school related to the curriculum, teachers, teaching material, students and parents. The methods of the survey have been classroom observations, teacher interviews, textbook analysis and a parents´ questionnaire. The findings of this study are that the knowledge of the teacher in and about the English subject can have effect on how the English subject will be presented to the students during the English lessons and the amount of the students oral production of the target language seem to depended on how much the teacher uses the target language in the classroom. The contents of the English lessons was overall structured by the curriculum. The parents and their interest in their children´s education seem to have had an impact on how much focus the English language get.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka förekomsten av de matematiska kompetenserna i läroböcker för Matematik A. Centralt i studien är de sex matematiska kompetenser, som Palm et al. (2004) analyserat fram ur de nationella styrdokumenten. Dessa kompetenser är: kommunikationskompetens, modelleringskompetens, resonemangskompetens, begreppskompetens, problemlösningskompetens och algoritmkompetens. För att nå syftet genomfördes en analys av uppgifter i två läroböcker för Matematik A.Undersökningens resultat visar att alla sex matematiska kompetenser finns representerade i läroböckernas uppgifter.
