The present MA thesis analyzes how body and blood functions as historical and narrative elements in Yu Hua's novel Chronicle of a Blood Merchant (1995). In the novel, the story and the plot can not be regarded as disparate items; the two levels of the text are tightly interwoven by what the thesis introduces as a sangvinolent narration. The term conceptualizes the use of blood as a structural element and the thrust of the text, in this case how the ability to sell blood is a prerequisite for the story and the plot.Close readings reveal the structural correlations between the blood-selling main-character Xu Sanguan in the plot on the one hand, and in the story on the other, which can be detected to have, inter alia, an effect on the temporality of the narrative. Themes linked to identity, belonging and survival (performativity, mimicry, reification and alienation) permeate the text. In the novel the body and bodily fluids are sacrificed in order to form and enforce perceptions of identity and societal roles.The rhetorical use of ?blood and tears? (Ch.

Syftet med examensarbetet är att genom textanalys och intervjuer undersöka grammatikens plats i svenskämnet utifrån förändringarna som skett i den nya kursplanen för Svenska 2 i GY11 jämfört med Svenska B i Lpf94. Det har gjorts med utgångspunkt i tidigare forskning, bland annat Malmbergs svenskämneskonceptioner. Det resultatet visar är att då inga större förändringar gällande stuktur är uppenbara i svenska 2 så ser vi förändringar i målen då vissa blivit mer specifika, några har försvunnit från föregående kursplan och grammatikmålet är helt nytt. Textanalysen enligt svenskämneskonceptionerna visar att Svenska B och Svenska 2 huvudsakligen fokuserar på färdighetsträning som verktyg till erfarenhetspedagogiska mål. Svenskämnet som litteraturhistoriskt ämne har däremot en mindre roll.

The aim of the study was to examine how Swedish tabloid journalism presented the contestants in the Swedish version of the reality show Idol 2009. We wanted to see which approaches tabloid news papers use when constructing the public identities of them. We have used text analysis to examine 37 articles and nine front pages with focus on the words, propositions, comparisons and parables that describe four of the contestants. In addition we have looked at myths and connotations shown in the pictures by using a semiotic analysis. The results show that the Swedish tabloids tend to describe the contestants in relation to their performances and personalities.

Uppsatsen ?Vad finns i en bild?? utforskar frågor kring vad som krävs för att bli illustratör samt vad man kan behöva tänka på när man illustrerar någon annans text, sett ur en hobbytecknares perspektiv. Projektet har genomförts genom studier av såväl klassiska bilderböcker som tidigare publikationer på ämnet bilder för barnböcker samt genom en hel del praktiska studier och övningar. Resultatet blev en samling reflektioner omkring skillnaderna mellan att teckna utan krav jämfört med att beskriva någon annans vision, hur man kan använda bilden för att expandera textens betydelse, vad man kan göra när man kör fast, och vilka för eller nackdelar det kan finnas i att välja en tidigare illustrerad text.Illustration är ett stort ämne som är svårt att begränsa och greppa i en kandidatuppsats, icke desto mindre är detta en bra introduktion..

Den här undersökningen handlar om hur flickor respektive pojkar i en årskurs fem använder värderande uttryck i sina narrativa texter. 22 elevtexter, 11 skrivna av flickor och 11 skrivna av pojkar, har analyserats enligt Appraisal framework. Jag har undersökt hur många och vilka typer av värderande uttryck eleverna använder och även hur de har fördelat uttrycken över texterna i förhållande till den narrativa berättelsestrukturen. Resultaten visar att flickorna använder värderande uttryck i större utsträckning än pojkarna. Fördelningen över de olika typerna av värderande uttryck liksom fördelningen av uttrycken över texten är dock ganska likartad för flickorna och pojkarna.This study concerns the use of evaluation in narrative texts written by pupils in fifth grade.

Vi lever idag i ett samhälle som omger oss med olika budskap. Tv, radio och tidningar förser oss med ett konstant flöde av information oavsett vi vill det eller ej. Denna information är i grund och botten texter av olika slag. I skolans värld förknippas begreppet text fortfarande oftast med skriven text i en lärobok. Men behöver det vara så? I denna forskningskonsumerande uppsats har jag tittat närmare på tre olika begrepp som alla behandlar arbete med text inom undervisning på ett annat sätt än det traditionella.

The following study pertains to investigate the Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus as it is portrayal in text books aimed at the course Religion 1 for Swedish upper secondary school. The study was carried out by looking at 12 selected books meant to function as teaching aids suitable for the course. The methodology covers both qualitative and quantitative aspects. The study shows that the topic of the resurrection is dealt with in a ratherneutral fashion. A survey of the evidence does not give credence to the notion that the textlength assigned to the resurrection, in any way gives greater importance to the resurrectionbeing of superior value as an Christian article of faith.The results are further discussed, and suggestions are given for how theresurrection of Jesus can function as a didactic tool for the purpose of teaching Christianityfor Swedish speaking upper secondary school pupils, in agreement and harmony with theSwedish syllabus.

In secondary school for individuals with learning disabilities there has been a focus on care-taking rather than on comprehension in general, and on reading comprehension in particular.The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Reciprocal Teaching would increase reading comprehension and motivation among upper secondary school for individuals with learning disabilities. The study presents how three 17-year-old pupils and their teacher, discussed expository fact texts during twelve lessons using the reciprocal method combined with power point-presentations to get the students to read more actively with interferences and reflections. The ambition was to make the structured text talks as interesting as possible with texts easy to read, technical aids, structure to make the students feel security when reading and to get committed pupils with an increased interest in reading.The results show an increase in motivation in reading, and the students were more prone to take an active part in discussions..

With the growth of information stored over Internet, especially in the biological field, and with discoveries being made daily in this domain, scientists are faced with an overwhelming amount of articles. Reading all published articles is a tedious and time-consuming process. Therefore a way to summarise the information in the articles is needed. A solution is the derivation of an ontology representing the knowledge enclosed in the set of articles and allowing to browse through them. In this thesis we present the tool Ontolo, which allows to build an initial ontology of a domain by inserting a set of articles related to that domain in the system.

The aim of this study is to analyse how children?s literature for ages 6 ? 8 is adapted to pupils with reading difficulties. The material used for analysis in this study is six children?s books, examining some of the criteria by which a text is classified as easy-to-read. The result of the analysis shows that there is a possibility for pupils with reading difficulties to read something other than easy-to-read literature if it is carefully selected.

The purpose of this study is to examine constructions of plaintiff [woman] and the defendant [man] in Swedish rape convictions from 2013. The cases in this study cover acquaintance rape. We also intend to analyze the constructions of the sexes in relations to each other. The study is completed by a qualitative text analysis, with inspiration of a hermeneutic interpretation. The result is presented by four categories: the worthy of protection of the woman, the penalty of the man, the complicity of the woman and credibility.

Denna uppsats undersöker hur värdegrunden i grundskolans primära nationella styrdokument, Läroplan för de obligatoriska skolformerna (Lpo 94), genomföres i skolverksamheten. Studien är en jämförelse men även en kartläggning av genomförandet gentemot styrdokumentet avseende tre olika kommuner av olika storlek, och syftet med detta är att se om man kan upptäcka skillnader i genomförandet. Dessa eventuella skillnader undersöks på tre olika nivåer i den kommunala skolhierarkin: politikernivån (i form av utbildningsplaner och liknande), tjänstemannanivån (rektorer) och genomförarnivån (lärare). Undersökningen av hur de nationella beslutsfattarna vill att genomförandet ska gå till har gjorts genom textanalys av de kommentarer, förarbeten och utvärderingar som gjorts från beslutsfattarna. Därefter har värdegrunden bearbetats till tre kategorier (kallade Allas lika värde, Demokrati och Etik) vilka kan undersökas.

The present study is primarily of historiographical type, but also uses comparative method and qualitative text analysis. It mainly aims to explore how Germany and the issue of guilt have been portrayed in Swedish and German nonfiction literature (excluding teaching materials) during the years 1996-2010, in the context of the Holocaust, but also makes a comparison between these two countries' depictions. Furthermore, it also examines whether it is possible to link the various depictions to specific theories, in this case determinism together with the actor and structural perspectives, as well as to other potential factors such as the authors' personal connections to the Holocaust or the millennium. In addition, overall trends is an aspect which is examined. Despite the fact that the Holocaust has been the subject of extensive research, no study with the same selection as this one has been carried out before.

Nämns det i de granskade dokumenten att det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet varit ett prioriterat utvecklingsområde för huvudmannen?? Kopplar huvudmannen kvalitetsarbetet till forskning?? Hur långt har huvudmannen kommit i arbetet med att genomföra en systematisk uppföljning och utvärdering av kunskapsresultat?Teori: Arbetet utgår huvudsakligen från ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande med betydelsen att människor lär sig hela tiden i alla sociala sammanhang. Texterna ses i detta perspektiv som ett kulturellt redskap som tillsammans med ett ytterligare kulturellt redskap, språket, utgör grund för att tänka kring och förklara det sammanhang där de verkar.
