The aim of this paper is to analyse how subject, gender and sexuality is constructed in the book Dårfinkar & dönickar (1984), by Ulf Stark. In relation to this I have also analysed how the main character, Simone, develops from being a child into becoming a teenager.Queertheory is the theoretical basis of this paper. Queer theory questions heteronormativity and aims to dissolve conceptions and notions that function in an excluding and limiting way. Queer theory also questions conceptions that seem obvious and/or natural, for example ?woman?/?man? and ?homo-/heterosexuality?.I have chosen to focus the analysis on a number key events in the book and they are categorised according to Tiina Rosenberg`s three dramaturgic concepts: transformation, unveiling and restoration.

Strömstad is a small city located on the Swedish west coast. Urbanization and development is acurrent issue for the municipally, as for many other in the current situation. The municipal housingcompany Strömstadsbyggen is one of the parties involved in the extensive development that mustbe implemented to meet the changes and developments which the issue holds.One area that is of interest in the discussion is Rådhusberget - this due to the existing infrastructureand unique qualities that the area holds. In order to achieve the best solutions possible for the area,Strömstadsbyggen wishes to listen to what the existing tenants at Rådhusberget thinks and feelsregarding the area and its future potential.This thesis has therefore been carried out in collaboration with Strömstadsbyggen and has beenaimed at identifying the current tenants' thoughts and opinions in the existing area of developmentand infill potential. The aim of this work was also to investigate how the tenants value their homeand local environment in its current state, and what their wishes are for the possible futuredevelopment of Rådhusberget.To achieve analyzable results concerning how the tenants perceive these aspects, an extensivesurvey have been carried out which were sent out to all tenants in the area.

Stockholms innerstad är tydligt uppdelad i sina olika stadsdelar. Stadsdelarna skiljer sig imånga avseenden gällande befolkning, image och i den allmänna uppfattningen hosstockholmsbor. Dessa skillnader i stadsdelar i kombination med ett intresse för köpcentrumoch hyresgästmix resulterade i en undran om köpcentrum belägna i olika stadsdelar ser olikaut avseende hyresgästmix och image.Inledningsvis gjordes en litteraturstudie för att få en inblick i ämnet hyresgästmix. Ilitteraturen fanns mycket information om hyresgästmix och image utanför Norden, främst IUSA och Storbritannien. En kort fördjupning inom relevanta begrepp gjordes.En statistisk undersökning genomfördes för att ta reda på mixen av hyresgäster i de trestudieobjekten Fältöversten, Ringen Centrum och Västermalmsgallerian.

This essay concerns dance as an exhibition object by examining the permanent exhibition at The Museum of Dance in Stockholm, Dansmuseet. Due to its dependence on the temporality and movement of the lived body, dance does not easily lend itself to being exhibited in a traditional exhibition display; and since the live dance performance itself is ostensibly absent at the exhibition display, other means of representation must be relied upon in order to evoke the exhibition visitors? experiences of time and movement as well as the feeling of dance. Starting from a phenomenological first-person perspective, as an exhibition visitor, I present three ways in which such experiences may come about. The cross-section of the experience evoked and the means that trigger them are intermedial, spatial, and performative taking their departure in the visitor?s pre-understanding of dance..

In the current situation in the housing market and in particular the inner city much attention is directed towards achieved prices per square meter in sales. The indicator is as a principle an appropriate measure of the housing market?s health and development, and can to some extent be used to make approximations of the general economic health status of municipalities and counties. It occurs occasionally that questions about whether prices are based on fundamentals at all times.The thesis questions that very issue, not from a macro accompanying financial perspective but rather from a microeconomic perspective, where each tenant ownership in the study is a micro-object. Are the observed prices per square meter rational relative to housing cooperative?s assets or is there a lack in the observed prices anchoring the respective association's finances.

The aim of this study was to examine the existing discourse of assault in Aftonbladet from the years 2012 and 2013. We have studied news articles and analysed them by using discourse analysis as theory and method.The study shows that the portrayal of perpetrators and victims in assault cases tend to differ depending on gender. The women is portrayed as weak and part of a homogeneous group while the man is portrayed as dominant and offered a more individual role. The study also shows that the normative group is separated from the deviate groups in society. The analyze show that media, through this representation, maintains the normative power in society.

With this essay we want to describe the transformation process that the real estate owner has to go through to sell the current rented flats to tenant. We also want to provide an understanding how the valuation is performed in the transformation process and highlight the issues that affects the price in the valuations. In the essay we would like to see if the valuation and the transformation process differ in a public real estate company compared to a private real estate company. Based on this we have asked us the following question to answer: -Is there any differences in how real estate?s are valued in the transformation process between public real estate companies and private real estate companies? We have used a qualitative approach to keep our main question.

Uppsatsens huvudsyfte är att kartlägga hur könsfördelningen gällande manus som gick upp på bio såg ut under treårsperioden 2010 -2012. Den riktar därmed in sig på två skilda punkter, dels ur ett statistsikt perspektiv där uppsatsen kartlägger hur fördelningen mellan kvinnor och män ser ut angående manus som blivit film. Under denna statistikdel kommer det även visas vilka genrer som har störst representation av kvinnor respektive män samt skillnader mellan dessa olika år gällande exempelvis adaptioner. Därefter kommer huvudfokus ligga på analysen av fyra olika manus skrivna av kvinnor för att på så sätt lysa upp eventuella styrkor eller svagheter som kan påverka hur könsfördelning ser ut. The aim of this study is to investigate how new knowledge, discovered and translated by the archaeologist, is transferred to the public by examining the question posed to the archaeologist by ?la?nsstyrelsen,? the county administration office.Since there can be no mediation of knowledge without an understanding of its perception, I pay a visit to the cognitive sciences in order to answer what knowledge is and how it functions in regards to contract archaeological results.I argue that the current structure of mediation, in regards to archaeological knowledge, is in need of the same quality control that is demanded by the contractors in regards to standard archaeological procedures. When presenting archaeology to the public, consideration needs to be paid to the different targets groups of society. The importance of national directions rather than regional translations for mediation of archaeology is stressed by the author. This needs to be carried out through a change of the questions posed to the contracted archaeologists by the county administration in their ?fo?rfra?gningsunderlag,? the order specification for archaeological investigations. .

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the representation of race, social class and gender in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. Postcolonial theory, including terms such as cultural hegemony, whiteness and Michel Foucaults definition of power, has served as the basis for the analysis. The postcolonial theory has been combined with class theory and gender theory for an intersectional analysis. Semiotic analysis has been used as the method in the thesis, and a total of nine story missions ? three for each protagonist in the game ? have constituted the material.

The aim of this essay is to study how cultures are presented in English textbooks for A-level students in Sweden. The aim is divided into three research questions, what does culture in English teaching mean, how is the English-speaking world presented in the textbooks and is the image that is presented stereotyped or does it try to challenge it? The study comprises of four textbooks from 1998-2008. The theoretical frame used in the essay is Edward Said?s Orientalism.

What effects deliberative democracy could have in this context are scientifically as well as publically relevant seeing that participation in representative democracies as well as the forms of representation is altering.The essay contains both a theoretical segment and a case study. The information regarding the case is based on the results from a questioner, conversations by and observations from the author. In addition an analysis is performed in the case study.The conclusion of the essay is that there is too little empirical research on the subject of deliberative democracy to make a qualified conclusion about what effects the practice of deliberative democracy could have on a representative democracy.

Denna studie undersöker hur jämställdheten ser ut under SVTs prime-time-sändningar utifrån könsfördelning, ålder och form av deltagande hos de medverkande personerna framför kameran, samt hur fördelningen ser ut i förhållande till de programkategorier SVT har satt. Med prime-time-sändningar menas den tid på dagen då tv-publiken är som allra störst. Syftet med uppsatsen är att med en kvantitativ innehållsanalys få reda på hur könsrepresentationen ser ut utifrån nämnda faktorer och diskutera sambandet mellan resultaten och värden kopplade till de sociala könsrollerna samt huruvida prime-time har en påverkan på innehållet i programmen.De teoretiska ramarna utgörs främst av Yvonne Hirdmans tankar kring genussystemet som dels innefattar två logiker; mannen som norm samt isärhållandets logik och dels genuskontraktet som beskriver överenskommelsen om sociala beteenden och logikernas fortsatta spridning från en generation till nästa. Detta tillsammans med Halls teorier om representation och stereotyper samt medielogiken appliceras i diskussionen kring analysens resultat.Resultaten visar att alla program utom ett representeras av en majoritet män, i de flesta fall stark majoritet. Män har också en starkare representation inom alla åldersgrupper till skillnad från kvinnor där både de yngre och äldre generationerna är väldigt svagt representerade.

This thesis presents an application that performs positioning of modules automatically based on given data for every module, and the development of it. The basis of the application is from a previous thesis code. On top of that code, more features and error handling has been added, as well as fixes for various bugs. A stress test has been performed and further development possibilities are being presented.The thesis work was carried out at Toyota Material Handling Mjölby (TMH) and was made in parallel with another thesis by Fredrik Holden who was generating data for the application.
