The aim of this study was to, using previously collected data from self-declared antisocial behaviour questionnaires, examine if the crime frequency has been different between adolescents that have either been referred to two different forms of open care in social service, child and youth psychiatric inpatient care or have been sent to Homes for Specialised Supervision. The criminality frequency and the most common crimes committed were compared between the study groups and further between genders in each particular study group. Statistical significance testing was used and the results of the survey revealed that juvenile delinquents that had committed severe criminal acts were represented in all four groups. The study group with adolescents in national care was the most different from other groups. These youths seemed to have had a lower crime frequency than the other groups with the exception assault and robbery.

Sweden is divided according to an ethnic boundary, which divides people in "we" and "the others", "Swedes" and "immigrants" (Ålund, 2002). We believe this is due to the fact that society categorises immigrants all the time as a homogeneous group with fixed and static qualities, resulting in a situation where you cannot represent yourself as a person. Instead you are represented on the basis of your ethnic belonging. Young immigrants often grow up under other conditions and find themselves in more vulnerable situations than Swedish youths. The purpose with this paper was to investigate young people with different ethnic backgrounds, their thoughts and feelings about their identity, group belongingness and future.

Max Webers teorier är klassiska inom sociologin. Denna d-uppsats syfte var att undersöka om Webers idealtyp byråkrati går att använda för att analysera en nutida organisation - Försäkringskassan. Kan Försäkringskassan utifrån valda teorier ses som byråkratisk och vad innebär detta för organisationen? För att få information om Försäkringskassan och dess organisation har olika typer av dokument undersökts. Denna information har sedan analyserats i förhållande till Webers byråkratibegrepp och en del kritiska röster om Weber.I uppsatsen framkom att Försäkringskassan är en byråkratisk organisation enligt Webers kriterier och att idealtypen byråkrati fortfarande är användbar - åtminstone på Försäkringskassan.

Studien bygger på en offerundersökning genomförd på två gymnasieskolor i Malmö under våren 2005. Sammanlagt svarade 243 ungdomar födda mellan år 1984-1989 på ett frågeformulär om utsatthet för brott. Syftet med studien var att deskriptivt beskriva utsattheten för brott för gymnasieungdomar i Malmö, främst under den senaste ettårsperioden. Studien ville dessutom belysa hur de unga brottsoffren ser på polisens bemötande samt beskriva frekvens och anledningar till att man anmäler samt inte anmäler brott. De frågeställningar som jag valt att fokusera min undersökning kring är:* Hur ser utsattheten för brott ut för gymnasieungdomar i Malmö?* Finns det möjligtvis skillnader inom den undersökta gruppen beroende på kön och bakgrund?* Polisanmäler ungdomarna när de blivit utsatta för brott och i så fall varför/varför inte?* Hur upplever ungdomarna polisens bemötande vid själva anmälningstillfället?Deltagarna har själva fått definiera begreppet brott, då öppna frågor har dominerat enkäten.Undersökningen visar att trots ökade insatser från polisen upplever ca en tredjedel av ungdomarna att de råkat ut för brott det senaste året.

The media industry in general and the newspaper in particular is going through major changes ? technological, logistical, economical ? due to the dropping sales and width of the printed daily newspaper. Few organisations have been spared the necessary rationalizations and cut-downs in staff. All of them are expected to produce more and better content, in more and new channels and platforms, with less resources. Some have been preparing for this a long time, others have never entered the digital world of news.

In this paper we take a look at digital applications to help the user with public transportation. The main goal was to evaluate the problem a user can face when aiming to use the public transportation system, and to create a application for Apple Iphone that can enhance and help the user, no matter if he is familiar with the local public transportation system, or if he is less familiar with it. The aim was that the user wouldnt need any previous knowledge to be able to use our application. We combined Location-Based Services with Realtime-travelinformation and trip planning to examine if this combination could make both of the two different user-groups satisfied. To understand the problematics a user faces when approaching the public transportation-scene, Scenario-Based Design is evaluated as a method to grasp this problem.

The purpose of the study is to explore the internal implementation and communication of ecological sustainability within an organization and to identify obstacles and challenges that may arise. To address the study's purpose and research questions, a qualitative methodology and semi-structured interviews were used. Respondents were selected from two different units within a large global organization operating in the automotive industry. The study's findings indicate that the organization's sustainability efforts are extensive and integrated across several departments. It is also evident that sustainability initiatives are primarily driven by upper management within the organization, although there is room for lower hierarchical levels to provide some feedback.

In today?s world there are plenty of technological tools and methods available with the purpose to increase peoples motivation for a healthier lifestyle. One such tool is a so-called activity tracker which uses sensors to log the user's everyday life and present it as automatic feedback. Gamification is a new and successful method to motivate and engage people in fulfilling tasks by using game elements and mechanics. In this study, five participants were instructed to use the activity tracker and pedometer Fitbit Flex daily for three weeks. Halfway through the study the participants were ranked and listed against each other in a ranking list in order to evoke competition.

The transformation within the swedish infrastructure has been a slow process from thebeginning of time. For almost a decade, the traditional form of contracting regardingbuildings and foremost infrastructure has evolved contracting involving the owner to definethe outcome of the product, regardless involvement from the supposed contractor. As forthe swedish market, the traditional design-bid-build (DBB) have been the primary choice ofcontracting. Although changes have been made over time regarding contracting formswithin the road administration, the railway sector has not improved or justified changesregarding choice of contracting, they have conducted same contracting relationshipsbetween them and the contractor.This bachelor thesis, conducted at the Swedish railway administration with supervision ofprofessor Kristian Widén at Lunds University, explores the forces behind the new era ofcontracting within the railway administration. This bachelor thesis focuses mainly oncontracting regarding design-build-operate-main (DBOM), the new contracting formulabetween the owner and the contractor.

Den nya ledningsfilosofin betonar kommunikativt ledarskap framför traditionella strategiska kommunikationsmönster.Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka ledarskapet på en telemarketingavdelning med många unga medarbetare och se vilka metoder chefer nu använder sig av för att leda unga medarbetare. Fokus ligger på kommunikation, ledarskap och organisationskultur. En kvalitativ metod användes i form av intervjuer i kombination med observationer. Studien omfattade sju intervjuer och urvalet var ändamålsenligt.

AbstractMellan 1944-1950 gick Frankrike från att förorda ett decentraliserat,stympat och i praktiken svagt Tyskland till att medverka till den centraliserade Västtyska republikens statsbildning.Man tog dessutom, med Schumanplanen, initiativ till ett djupgående samarbete mellanstaterna.Med ländernas historiska fiendeskap som bakgrund var detta en snabb och betydande process. Syftet med den här studien har varit tvådelat: med Jakob Gustavssons modell för utrikespolitisk förändring har vi ämnat beskriva och analysera omställningen samt revidera modellen efter de svagheter vi funnit vid appliceringen. Arbetet har gått genom ett brett material av historiska andrahandskällor och genom några moderna statsvetenskapliga teoretiker inom utrikespolitisk förändring.Vi har funnit att samspelet mellan deninternationella strukturenochett fåtal individer resulterade i två genombrott för en ny fransktysklandspolitik den berörda perioden.Internationellla faktorer, Georges Bidault och Jean Monnet bör tillskrivas den franska kursändringen. The present essay aims to understand the work of art as place on the basis of Martin Heidegger?s conception of work in Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes from 1935. That is, a place that cannot be understood in accordance with the physical-technological space, but which cannot either be thought of as mere temporal spacing. This is accomplished by reading Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes through the shorter essay Die Kunst und der Raum from 1969. Despite the time difference, Die Kunst und der Raum opens up Der Ursprung des Kunstwerkes in such a way that the work cannot be understood as if it were only a temporal event ? as the cause initiating a temporal process or succession of truth.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how and why genealogists' information behavior has been influenced by the use of online services for genealogy. Using a conceptual model of genealogists' information behavior as theoretical basis for the study, I examine how the use of online services affect genealogists? search process, what information they are looking for and what information resources they use.

In todays high-technological society where the Internet plays a central role in our day-to-day life, many e-retailers are not able to attract customers to complete a transaction on their website. In order to succeed, many e-commerce sites must improve several safety aspects regarding online payment, in order to be perceived as a reliable and secured retailer. The purpose of this paper is to investigate if increment in various combinations and aspects in online payment will in fact improve the customer's perception of the e-retailer and result in completed transactions. In order to investigate this aspect, an experiment was conducted to be able to compare eight independent groups, that each had been exposed to a different security scenario on the online payment website of either a known or unknown retailer. Our results clearly prove that perceived security of the retailer's payment website increases willingness to purchase from the retailer.
