This thesis has been conducted at Volvo Bussar ABunder a period of ten weeks. Within the organizationVolvo, the work is conducted with leaders and Teamson every level; from production to top management.They have three tasks, besides executing their dailywork, they are expected to actively work on improvingtheir individual work as well as themselves as persons.The two latter are future value adding activities for theorganization. When doing so, however, it has beennoticed that they often lose the grasp of their dailywork. The question that consequently arises is whythis happens. Is it because of lack of time or it isbecause the co-workers do not have the competenceand simply do not know how they are to execute thethree tasks? Or, is it because the motivation to executethe three tasks is not enough? With this in regard, thestatement of issues for this bachelor thesis were thefollowing: how can the conditions for leaders and theteam be improved, in order for them to execute thesethree tasks.To find out why the execution of these threeassigments did not always succeed, the decision wastaken to conduct a survey and interview study in reallife and at the plants.

Background: It is required that health care professionals continuously work with patient safety and quality improvements, and the skills of registered nurses are significant in this work. However, quality improvement also requires commitment and knowledge about how to improve health care and ensure patient safety. There is a lack of studies that highlights the importance of supportive functions for this work. Nurses in clinical settings can be utilized as facilitators that make things easier for other health care professionals who are engaged in quality improvement and patient safety. In order to gain understanding about the significance and needs of nurses with a role of facilitator, it is urgent to learn from their experiences of facilitating quality improvement in health care.Aim: The aim was to study nurses? experiences of facilitating quality improvement of nursing care, patient safety and multi-professional collaboration in health care.Method: Semi-structured qualitative interviews were performed with ten registered nurses who had experience of being in the role of facilitators.

AbstractEffective January 1, 2005 publicly listed companies were obliged to adopt a new financialreporting standard (IFRS/IAS). The objective of IFRS/IAS was to increase transparency andcomparability in financial reports between companies. The authors have chosen to write aboutIAS 40 where the accounting treatment for investment property and related disclosurerequirements are regulated.The purpose of this thesis is to investigate potential effects of valuation of investmentproperty at fair market value for real estate companies at times when market price decreasesand to investigate what an acceptable difference for the valuation could be.To fulfil this purpose the authors have chosen a qualitative method interviewing accountants,property analysts and a credit analyst to obtain a deeper understanding of the problem. Basedata for the thesis have been collected during meetings, telephone interviews and e-mails.Additional data was collected from public available sources such as the internet, relevantprofessional magazines and professional newsletters. The authors have designed a modelshowing how Income and Balance Sheet statements are influenced by changed valuation ofinvestment property.

During the last years, the importance of sourcing in firms has increased. Globalization, fierce competition and an increased level of outsourcing are common explanations to why firms have highlighted the potential to realize savings and the value creation that the Purchasing department can generate. One trend that follows in parallel with globalization is an increased pressure from society on firms to take responsibility for the impact that its products and services have on the environment. This responsibility creates even more attention as outsourcing involves trade with suppliers in low wage countries, where the level of environmental and social responsibility is not always satisfying. The Purchasing department, the firm?s interface with suppliers should therefore, together with the firm?s Environmental department, play a key role in the firm?s contribution towards sustainable development.

AbstractThe main purpose of this study is to examine which essential traits floorball coaches for men?s and women?s team require. One issue was to see if there was any distinction between which leader traits and behaviors the players and the coaches regarded as essential. Another issue was to see if the coaches? behaviors differed whether he was coaching men or women.

Många företag står inför det faktum att arbetet måste anpassas till globaliseringen för att konkurrenskraften skall bibehållas. Ett sätt att göra det är att arbeta geografiskt distribuerat för att på så sätt nå kompetens och fler kunder samtidigt som 24/7-arbete möjliggörs. Men för att effektivt jobba distribuerat över tid och rum krävs en medvetenhet kring de begränsningar som det medför och hur de skall överbryggas. Sandvik IT står inför förändringar och trenden går mot fler geografiskt distribuerade team. Syftet med denna undersökning har därför fokuserats kring det distribuerade arbetets nyckelfaktorer och hur Kanban kan bidra till ett effektivt arbete.

Self-checking gives information of the machine drivers work and guarantees the customers a good quality of work.

Personlig assistans är en insats som syftar till att ge funktionshindrade människor möjlighet att leva ett så självständigt liv som möjligt. När personlig assistans ges till barn ska assistansen både möjliggöra barnets självbestämmande och frigörelse och ge föräldrarna möjlighet till avlösning. Familjen ska också kunna genomföra aktiviteter som barnet inte deltar i. I många fall väljer föräldrarna att själva bli personlig assistent för sitt barn. I studien har fyra föräldrar intervjuats om sin syn på föräldrarollen i förhållande till sin roll som personlig assistent till sitt barn. Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur föräldrar som är personliga assistenter till sina barn själva uppfattar rollerna och hur de använder dem i familjens vardagsliv. Studien är kvalitativ med hermeneutisk ansats och i analysen används Goffmans dramaturgiska rollperspektiv, Foucaults relationella maktbegrepp och begreppet empowerment. Resultatet visar att föräldrarna inte avgränsar rollerna utan upplever sig som en förälder som utför assistansuppgifter.

SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva samt reflektera över hur gällande rätt har utvecklats genom rättspraxis när det gäller regleringen avseende ansvar vid medverkan till brott. Ytterligare ett syfte är att försöka tydliggöra var, och om, några juridiskt relevanta gränser mellan gärningsmän, medgärningsmän och medhjälpare kan utläsas ur praxis.För att genomföra uppsatsen har lag, förarbeten, rättsfall och doktrin studerats.De slutsatser som kan dras av praxis när det gäller gränsdragningarna är att det krävs relativt lite av en person för att han ska kunna dömas som medverkande till brott. Som utgångspunkt nämn "Rockfallet" där en man döms för medhjälp till misshandel då han hållit en bekants rock medan han misshandlar och rånar en fotgängare och där jämförelse med den straffria gärningen att med gillande min stå och se på ett slagsmål görs.I uppsatsen presenteras även flera andra rättsfall som illustrerar gränsdragningen mellan det straffbara och det straffria området.När det gäller gränsdragningen mellan en gärningsman, en medgärningsman och till viss del även en medhjälpare konstateras att praxis till viss del visar på en ojämn rättstillämpning som i några fall kan beskrivas som rättsosäker. Detta medför att några säkra slutsatser inte kan dras av materialet. Den konturen som dock kan utläsas är att ett gemensamt handlande, föregått av ett samråd, blir straffbart såsom medgärningsmannaskap. När omständigheterna medför att det brister i det gemensamma handlandet eller i samrådet blir utgången i målet i vissa fall svår att förutse.Ytterligare en aspekt är att den bristande förutsebarheten till viss del kan bero på att området endast är praxisreglerat, uttryckligt lagstöd saknas i många fall.För att komma till rätta med den bristande förutsebarheten och rättsosäkerheten är ett förslag till lösning att lagstiftaren i lag reglerar de fall där straffbarhet kan inträda trots att rekvisiten i det aktuella straffstadgandet inte uppfyllts..

Case Company Parker Hannifin Corporation, Quick Coupling Division Europe, Tema Ingenjörsfirman AB, Skövde has an ambition to have an organization that manage changes and continuously improve its performance. That is the reason why this examination work arises.

Bakgrund: Omkring 10-15 % av befolkningen, oftast i arbetsför ålder, riskerar att någon gång drabbas av njursten. Nationella riktlinjer för njurstensbehandling saknas, men studier stödjer behandling inom 48 timmar för snabb symtomlindring och minskade besvär för patienten. Inom studerad verksamhet var tiden från diagnos till behandling lång och återinläggningarna var många, varför ett förbättringsarbete initierades.Syfte: Syftet med förbättringsarbetet var att halvera tiden från diagnos till behandling för patienter med akut behandlingskrävande uretärsten, samt minska negativa effekter relaterade till obehandlad uretärsten. Vidare syftade studien av förbättringsarbetet till att beskriva ett tvärprofessionellt Teams erfarenheter av aktuellt förbättringsarbete gällande patienter med uretärsten.Metod: Ett tvärprofessionellt team bedrev förbättringsarbetet med stöd av Nolans modell för förbättringsarbete, vilket studerades genom en deskriptiv fallstudie med induktiv ansats. Effekterna av förbättringsarbetet utvärderades med Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Sustainable development has become more and more important over the past years. The term Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is closely connected to sustainable development and focuses on organizations responsibility towards the society and the environment in which it exists. Companies within the mining industry were among the first to initiate CSR-work due to the fact that they have a great impact at the local community, both socially and environmentally. Today they are still in the forefront of the development of CSR-questions in general, and community involvement and development in particular. Earlier studies made on this area have focused on the strategic level of community involvement and development.

This essay deals with the support and help offered to elderly people over 65 with mental disabilities out of personnel from a special support team. We have chosen to use the qualitative method to answer our questions. We have four semi-structured interviews with all staff from the support team we have been in contact with, three nurses/nursing assistants and project manager for the support team. We have recognized five themes and divided the text into six different categories and disciplines that answers and highlights the importance of meeting clients' needs, increase their independence and quality of life. Our theme is security, continuity, time, treatment and relations.

Bakgrund: Hemsjukvård har bedrivits i Sverige sedan 1970-talet. Inom den somatiska vården ser man detta som en vårdform som stärker patientinflytande. Trots att psykisk ohälsa utgör den största orsaken till sjukskrivning i Sverige ser man inte samma utbyggnad av hemsjukvården inom psykiatrin. Istället bedrivs akutpsykiatrisk vård fortfarande mestadels som slutenvården. Detta trots att man vet att många patientgrupper far illa av att vistas inom den psykiatriska avdelningsmiljön.
