Akademiska hus is a real estate company that specializes in providing Swedish universities with housing facilities for educational and research purposes. The company strives to reduce its use of energy by 40% between the years 2000 and 2025. The aim of this thesis is to determine which measures can be taken to reduce the need of purchased energy in a building that is used by theSwedishUniversityof Agricultural Sciences inUppsala.In order to determine the results of various changes to the building envelope and ventilation system, the building was modelled in the computer simulation program VIP-Energy. Other proposed changes to make the use of energy more efficient concerned water use and lighting. The need of purchased energy can also be reduced by producing electricity or heat on site, using solar energy.Results show that economically viable measures include upgrading windows and faucets, adjusting control systems for ventilation and lighting, and installing roof mounted solar panels for power production.

The purpose of this report is to examine various roof structures that can operate in a warehouse with large spans. The building that is examined in the report is currently under construction, and the roof construction has already been selected. The selected roof system will therefore be compared with some other structures and materials that have been possible. The report will evaluate three different frame materials, two insulating barriers and two overlaying materials. Another important part in major construction projects is the roof safety.

Background: Obesity surgery is the only technique that has proved to have a long-lasting effect on weight loss. Operation is not a solution but rather a lifelong involvement for the person. To loose a lot of weight means a big adjustment for both body and mind and the operated person may need support, advice, information and encouragement. Aim: The aim was to describe how a person, operated for obesity, can be supported in order to reach improved health pre- and postoperative. Method: A systematic literature study was made which resulted in 18 scientific articles that have been reviewed.

Ur ett organisationsperspektiv innebär innovationsförmågaatt kunna integrera organisationens resurser och förmågor på ett sådant sätt att det stimulerarinnovation i företagets produkter, tjänster och processer. Därmed måste företag stödja deprocesser och rutiner som syftar till att öka innovationsförmågan. För att kunna ge detnödvändiga stödet till innovationsaktiviteter måste företag också iaktta varje teams specifikabehov, eftersom respektive team kan ha vitt skilda behov.Denna studie genomfördes inom ramen för ett examensarbete på Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan.Den baseras på en empirisk studie som genomförts på ett stort svenskt företag under 2012.

Vi har sett att den svenska tillverkningsindustrin i detta nu befinner sig i ett paradigmskifte. Det vi observerat är att tillverkningsindustrier idag försöker åstadkomma en mer effektiv organisation som bättre tillgodoser marknadens krav på snabbhet och kvalitet. Det råder samstämmighet i litteraturen vi studerat, om att det har varit nödvändigt för många organisationer inom tillverkningsindustrin att förändra sina verksamhetsstrategier. Förändringen handlar om Lean och flödeseffektivisering som den nya verksamhetsstrategin. Genom intervjuer med ledare inom den svenska tillverkningsindustrin har vi uppmärksammat att ledarskapet är av stor betydelse i denna nya verksamhetsstrategi.

This is an investigation of a mobile prefabrication factory´s competitiveness and profitability which also will result in a suggestion for a design of the factory. The mobile prefabrication factory is an idea of a new concept for production which is meant to be used in the manufacture of slab. The main intention with this concept is that by using a fast established prefabrication factory to produce elements near the construction site, thus avoiding transport from the factory to the building site. This means not only an environmental and economic gain, but also that you can avoid risking damage the elements which often occur during transportation. The contractor is owner of the mobile prefabrication factory and can thus avoid long waiting times and cyclicality.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka elitsatsande handbollsgymnasieelevers upplevda sammanhållning i deras respektive klubblag samt i deras träningsgrupp vid skolan. Vidare studerades handbollsspelarnas upplevelser av skillnader eller likheter i lagsammanhållningen i klubblag och träningsgrupp. Undersökningsdeltagarna bestod av tio män (M = 18,5) som går på ett elithandbollsgymnasium i Sverige. Datainsamlingen skedde med hjälp av en intervjuguide baserad på Carron´s (1982) konceptuella ramverk. Resultaten redovisades i huvudteman där positiva och negativa påverkansfaktorer för lagsammanhållningen klargjordes i träningsgrupp på skolan respektive klubblag.

This is a study about the transition process and the consolidation of power in Belarus. In this paper the concept of "authoritarian state building and the sources of regime competitiveness in the fourth wave" is the major theory used. After giving a description of the theory?s concepts a short historical background of Belarus follows. Chapters four describes and explain the political situation in Belarus during five periods.

A study to optimize insulation thickness for stock-, industrial- and office-buildings for external walls and roof in an economical perspective has been conducted on behalf of DynaMate. DynaMate?s role is to maintain all Scania?s buildings. Analysis has also included other parts of the building envelope, such as windows, exterior doors and industrial doors. In this thesis, three different types of exterior wall constructions has been investigated, these are a sandwich design consisting of sheet metal and a another one consisting of concrete, as well as a wall of concrete with a coating of plasters.

INTRODUKTION: Kommunikation har en viktig roll inom hälso- och sjukvården, inte minst i multiprofessionella team där flera yrkesgrupper bedriver ett nära samarbete. I högriskmiljöer som hybrid- och operationssalar är det extra viktigt med en väl fungerande kommunikation och ett gott samarbete för att nå patientsäkra resultat. Det finns många faktorer som kan påverka kommunikation till såväl det bättre som det sämre.SYFTE: Att beskriva hur säker kommunikation utformas i operationsteam.METOD: En litteraturöversikt har valts för att besvara syftet. Litteraturöversikten består av tio vetenskapliga artiklar.RESULTAT: I granskningen av artiklarnas framkom tre huvudteman; kommunikation, patientsäkerhet och team. Under dessa tre huvudteman ryms sedan tio underteman; utbytet, utbildning, teamkommunikation, personal, arbetsmiljö, checklistor, samarbetet, teamegenskaper, teamfördelning och brister..

VAV (Variable Air Volume) system has been studied in a newly constructed office-building. The goal for the study has been to evaluate how the ventilations system work in practice, if adjustments can be made to achieve an more energy efficient system and to evaluate if other alternative ventilation systems is to be preferred in the further.The degree project has been executed at Helenius Engineering Firm who is working with the environment, media systems, HVAC and energy in buildings. The building that has been studied is owned and operated by Akademiska hus.Literature studies, visits at site, inventory, review of system documentation, energy analyses, interviews, key figures, LCC, sand energy- and indoor climate simulations has been made to study the building. Where appropriate some tools from Six Sigma have also been used.How to achieve an energy efficient system and a pleasant indoor climate is studied with human health and well-being as base for the indoor climate requirements. Technical support systems such as ventilation systems have to be designed so that an acceptable indoor climate can be achieved.

The forest industry is one of the most important industry branches in Sweden. Since the demand of high precision wood deliveries has increased, the demand on a well constructed forest road net also has increased. A good road net gives the wood-supplier competition advantages and also increases its service level towards its customers, lumber-mills and pulp-mills. In some parts of Norrbotten, the road net is still insufficient and not yet built out enough, and that is why it is important to know how to act and where to improve the road net in these areas. The purpose of this thesis was to create a work-model for long term road planning in areas with no road net or a not yet complete road net. The model has been created in an ArcGis environment, where a long chain of tools has been tied together with the program ?Model builder?.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av den professionella rollen i ett multidisciplinärt team inom psykiatrins ätstörningsenhet. Inklusionskriterierna för undersökningsgruppen var legitimerade arbetsterapeuter, med minst ett års erfarenhet inom psykiatrins ätstörningsenhet. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av tio arbetsterapeuter med vid geografisk spridning över Sverige. Studien genomfördes via telefonintervjuer och intervjuutskrifterna analyserades med inspiration av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: ?Betydelsen av arbetsterapeutens roll i teamet?, ?Att erhålla stöd från teamets representanter?, ?Otydliga professionella roller i teamet? och ?Att sträva mot samma mål?.

This thesis aims to further study the interpersonal risk taking within groups and thereby the importance of a climate promoting a reflective behavior. The increased demand in complexity and exposure towards teamwork leads to increased call for knowledge integration, which can be explained as the ability to integrate the collective knowledge within the group. We have therefor identified a need for better understanding what makes a group more effective. Key factors for self-estimated effective collaboration have been shown to be a group's reflective behavior and ability to coordinate the skills that each individual possesses. These factors are greatly affected by the psychological safety within the team.
