Uppsatsen handlar om det arbete vi utfört åt Prevas AB i Karlstad. Uppdraget gick ut på att synkronisera tre olika Systems kalenderfunktioner så att det som skrivs i en kalender syns i alla. För att klara det behövde vi först undersöka hur de tre systemen fungerade vilket delade upp arbetet i en utredningsfas och en konstruktionsfas. Utredningsfasen ledde till att vi begränsade arbetet till att endast omfatta en envägskommunikation mellan två av systemen i konstruktionsfasen. Detta arbete beskrivs i detalj i uppsatsen..

Two elementary schools are now being built in Gråbo (in the municipality of Lerum),Röselidsskolan and Ljungviksskolan, which are both designed with solar thermalcollectors for the schools domestic water heating. During the summer while thelargest amount of solar heat can be generated, the activity hence the domestic wateruse in the schools are heavily reduced. Both schools are connected to the local districtheating system which makes it possible to use the solar collectors to deliver heat tothe district heating.The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the two Systems mentioned above and todetermine which system is more suitable to apply on a school. The building whichconditions were used for this evaluation is Röselidsskolan.A solar heating plant of each system type was dimensioned from the expected andknown conditions of the building. The purpose with the dimensioning was to makethe solar plants replace the ordinary energy source as much as possible.

Most of the sea areas within the European Union are overfished and the catches are estimated to be up to five times lager then the amount to achieve a sustainable fishery. In doing so, the management of EU's marine resources comes to be questioned. The purpose of this study was to analyze EU's administration of marine fisheries and to explore which steps that can be undertaken to counteract the negative trend. The questions of the study were: How does the EU administrate today?s marine fishery recourses? And: How can the problem whit overfishing be discouraged? To answer these questions a comparative analyses were used to compare and evaluate administrative Systems.

The aim of this study was to investigate how the process of implementing a quality management system for food safety was handled in four different food producing companies in Sweden. The aim was also to analyze what difficulties the companies face and the possibilities that arise when certified. Furthermore, the reason for implementation was discussed as well as the main expectations on the certificate. Implementing a quality management system is a good way of ensuring the quality and hygiene of the food production and it also increases the traceability of food products through the whole food chain. A food safety standard provides a method of preventing problems and crisis and it can also help to handle requirements from authorities, the market and others.

Jönköping Energi AB (JEAB) is a local energy supplier for the county of Jönköping. JEAB also maintain the local Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). They have recently installed GPON in a portion of their network and have connected it to the MAN via an Extreme switch.However JEAB would prefer to use Cisco equipment instead of Extreme since the MAN comprises of Cisco hardware. They require a solution to connect GPON to the MAN with a recently purchased line card (Cisco 7600 ES20) which can be installed in a Cisco 6500 Catalyst switch. There is also a possible solution with an Alcatel-Lucent 7450 ESS-1 switch.

Competence Portals are software tools that are intended to make it easier for persons that have had no previous contact to find and contact each other. The portals can address areas ranging from finding an expert within an organisation to the marketing of the competence of a region or a research centre to other organisations. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the necessity of Competence Portals in research-intensive organisations. Important characteristics of the information in such portals have been identified and used as a basis for recommendations regarding how Competence Portals could be designed. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the task of finding a source of knowledge within an organisation.

By doing this we can compare the different objects studied in this essay and furthermore we will be able to see which hotel that has the best match.

Datoranvändare nyttjar idag Internet i sitt dagliga arbete, webbapplikationer är vanligt förekommande vid detta arbete. Prestanda hos webbapplikationer (thin clients) är dock av många orsaker väldigt begränsad jämfört med rich clients, detta tillsammans med övriga begränsningar hos thin clients har medfört att en klienttyp som sammanfogar fördelarna hos rich clients med fördelarna hos thin clients blivit allt mer efterfrågad. Smart Clients bygger på en fusion mellan rich clients och thin clients, Smart Clients är ett relativt nytt koncept som utvecklats av Microsoft med utgångspunkten att klienter ska vara lätta att administrera och uppdatera. Samtidigt ska möjligheten att använda lokala resurser både i form av mjukvara och hårdvara finnas, för att effektivt hantera den beräkning, visualisering och lagring som klienten nyttjar. Slutligen bör en Smart Client dra nytta av funktionalitet hos servers för att ge användaren tillgång till aktuell information.

Uppsatsen har sin grund i att studera medias tillgänglighet inom fildelningsnätverk då specifikt DC och BitTorrent. Undersökningen består av en kvantitativ studie av fildelningsnätverk som byggde på vår fråga: Hur ser medias tillgänglighet på fildelningsnätverk ut? Med frågan vill undersökningen göra en nutidsstudie om tillgänglighet av filmer, pc-spel och tv-serier på fildelningsnätverk. På så sätt bättre förstå den nutida utvecklingen av kommersiella film- och musik- tjänster, samt reflektera över om fildelningsnätverk kan ses som en komplett källa när det gäller tillgången av det undersökta materialet..

In healthcare there is a rapid development towards introducing and implementing a wide range of information technology (IT) to aim for higher quality and more effective care. A common health information system (Cambio Cosmic) has been implemented in Landstinget Kronoberg. Clinical microSystems are the frontline units where staff and pa-tient meet. When the conditions in the microSystems are changed, it is interesting to de-scribe and analyse the consequences.The purpose of this study is to describe how health care staff uses a health information sys-tem and how they experience its functionality in their patient work. Initially, a literature re-view about the use of health information system was undertaken, followed by a qualitative case study based on interviews about how healthcare staff describes their reality.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing Systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

The power system modelled in this thesis work has been developed for simulationwhen e.g. the production in some part of the power system is changed. The powersystem has been modelled according to the swing mass of the system, the frequencydependency of the load and the turbine governor. The model determines the systemfrequency, the period of regulation and the power exchange between the differentsubSystems in the Nordic synchronized system.In this model the system frequency is assumed to be the same in all different parts ofthe power system and the voltage conditions in the power system are neglected. Forthat reason power swings does not occur between different subSystems in the powersystem, which usually occur as a result of the swinging connection between thetransmissions line.
