Problemet med hantering av fel vid informationsutbyte mellan system hos stora företag med komplex IT-arkitektur är bakgrunden till varför denna rapport har skrivits. Det primära företaget i denna studie har varit Sandvik AB.Typiska fel som kan uppstå i sådana sammanhang är så kallade logiska fel. Definitionen av ett logiskt fel är ett fel som påverkar processens funktionalitet vid utbyte av information mellan två eller flera system. Exempel på sådana fel är att ett visst system behöver en viss speciell information eller har vissa regler uppsatta för att kunna ta emot information från ett annat system. När det hänvisas till tekniska fel, så avses fel som kan uppstå i den tekniska infrastukturen.Problemet med logiska fel finner man mest i distribuerade system och i SOA-arkitektur där det finns en anledning till detta på grund av dess uppbyggnad och lösa kopplingar mellan system.

Omfattningen av vad som loggas i ett system idag är varierande, de flesta har någon form av loggning av oönskade händelser. Vi inriktar oss på olika metoder för att applicera auditing så det går att spåra hela händelseförlopp. Vi undersöker vilka vitala delar en auditlogg ska innehålla, utifrån SANS policy för auditing. Vi designar och implementerar ett ramverk för auditing och väljer ut en säker digitalsigneringsmetod för loggad data. Slutligen verifierar vi implementation och signeringsmetod..

The aim of this project was to look into ten small sewer systems in the municipality of Laholm, in Sweden, in order to work out common assessment grounds for them. The sizes of the systems for purification of wastewater were within the range of 25 to 2000 population equivalents. Our method was to study literature, the laws and regulations applicable and the files at the municipality. The conclusion is that every sewer system is different and every situation is unique. We concluded that based on laws and assessment grounds sewer systems equal in size and pollution load ought to have similar demands attached to them.

AbstractIn the fall of 2003 a project was started in the Swedish building sector that is called BASTA (the building sectors’ termination of especially harmful substances). The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the company’s products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the company’s products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTA’s demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.

This essay concerns the fantastic and its position in narration. The fantastic's defintion is based on Martin Horstkotte's defintion in The Postmodern Fantastic and the essay focuses on the noncontextual aspects such as the clash between two incompatible fictional worlds and the absence created. Instead of the ordinary identification of the established fictional world with realism and our reality it is suggested that both of the colliding fictional worlds are fictive and that the established one not necessarily need to be realistic. Exampels on how the fantastic takes place on the syntagmatic level in a narration is drawn from the short story ?Samvetets fantasi? by Clas Livijn when analysed with Peter Brooks' closurebased narratology theory in Reading for the Plot.

Detta projekt har syftat till att inleda arbetet med att utveckla ett system för snabb och dynamisk reglering av pelletsbrännare. Projektet har haft tre målsättningar: ? The government regulations for energy use in buildings will be tightened in the future. At the same time the interest in environmental classifications and certifications of buildings is increasing. This has meant a new situation for solar energy. The designs of solar heating systems are often based on experience and/or rules of thumb, rather than calculations and simulations. This thesis examines whether simulation tools, in this case Polysun, are useful in this work.

På operativ och högre taktisk ledningsnivå inom den svenska Försvarsmakten användsidag ledningssystemet Sweccis, Swedish Command and Control Information System.Detta system kan användas till planering och genomförande av insatser inom riketsgränser. Sweccis samlar ett antal funktioner, exempelvis en kartfunktion, ettgeografiskt informationssystem, en logistik-funktioner och en portal förinformationsspridning, i ett system. Till skillnad från tidigare system som använts förledning på högre nivå inom Försvarsmakten är Sweccis ackrediterat för att hanteraHemlig/Secret-information.Sweccis syftar till att möjliggöra funktionen ledning på operativ och högre taktisknivå, i enlighet med de doktriner som Sverige idag använder. Målet är att samordnafysiska faktorer, exempelvis våra arméförband, för att genomföra aktiviteter som skallleda till effekter hos motståndaren. Dessa effekter skall sedan kunna utvärderas för attanvändas som grund för ett kommande genomförande tillsammans med yttre faktorer,så som en ny uppgift från en högre chef.

De senaste åren har det börjat dyka upp system för att köra virtuella skrivbordsdatorer. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) är ett koncept för just det, och ett av de system som finns på marknaden är utvecklat av VMware och har fått namnet View. Frågeställningen som har legat till grund för denna utredning var om prestandan och användarupplevelsen hos en virtuell maskin i ett VDI-system idag är tillräckligt bra för att kunna ersätta en fysisk dator som arbetsdator. För att utreda detta skapades en View-miljö med två olika virtuella maskiner som sedan användes och utvärderades. Därtill användes även prestandatestmjukvaran PassMark PerformanceTest för att utvärdera datorernas prestanda och för att kunna jämföra resultaten med de hos två vanliga laptops.

Bofors UwS (Underwater Systems) har påbörjat utvecklingen av ett nytt centraliserat system för att koordinera alla torpedhanterare ombord på ett fartyg till en central enhet. Detta system måste kunna ta emot och i vissa fall sända data till de övriga delsystemen ombord på fartyget. För att lyckas med detta behöver de en kommunikationsapplikation till denna centrala enhet. MONOLITH är en prototyp av en sådan applikation. Dess huvudändamål är att demonstrera hur detta kan utföras och att testa enheter som kan kontrollera ett antal torpeder.

Denna rapport beskriver vårt examensarbete som ingår som en del i Dataingenjörsprogrammet vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Uppgiften har varit att utveckla ett webbaserat och flödesstyrt ärendehanteringssystem och är utfört åt Data Ductus AB i Skellefteå. Detta system kommer att ingå som en del i företagets supportorganisation. The purpose of the study was to examine possible aspects concerning the choice to play as good or evil with a focus on the players´ subjective experience. A form was constructed and the material was interpreted according to Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The games Mass Effect I and II were used as an example of the choice to play as good or evil since the choice between Renegade (evil) and Paragon (good) is present. The sample consisted of individuals who had played Mass Effect I and/or Mass Effect II and were over 18 years old. The end result concerning who played a Renegade or a Paragon came to be very uneven (15 out of 16 participants played a Paragon) which means that the result mostly relates to possible aspects concerning the choice to play a Paragon.

High quality within a Lean production system begins with standardised work, which creates stable processes able to generate predictable output. If nonconformity from the standard procedures occurs, routines are needed to analyse, correct and prevent the nonconformity from occurring again. In that way, the nonconformity can be a trigger for continuous improvements toward more stable processes. In takted production lines, where the operator follows a standard sequence with tasks set to be completed within the takt time, a nonconformity leads to downtime in the operator?s sequence, and no value is added.

This thesis endavours to examine whether differences between original and translation in literary translation are systematic and predictable by studying a Swedish detective novel and its Japanese translation. The domain of the novel chosen for analysis is the reported speech (i.e. dialog).Translation Studies suggests that knowledge of the literary norms of the Target Language of the translation and of the status of translations in the Target Language's literary system, enables one to predict if and what differences between original and translation will appear.A survey of the scholarly literature concerning literary norms in the Japanese system and the status of translation within said system was performed and the following hypotheses were postulated: 1.
