By comparing the experience off interaction in a life world with a drug habit and a life world without a drug habit you might find how they differ. We asked four former drug abusers in four semi structured interviews to describe their experiences off interaction under these two circumstances. The difference between the two life worlds when it comes to interaction is that in the drug abusing life world our informants describe that communicative action has to stand back for a more goal oriented action. In the drug free life world, communicative action on the other hand is experienced as the most important action. The difference is about wether interaction is goal oriented or oriented at understanding.

This study examines how managers in the public sector experience and manage their digital maturity in the context of digital transformation. The study is based on qualitative interviews with twelve managers and three developers in a municipality in western Sweden and is analyzed based on a theoretical framework that combines individuals digital maturity (DIMI model) with organizational conditions. The results show that managers' digital maturity is influenced by both individual and organizational factors. At the individual level, the importance of digital competence, self-efficacy, and willingness to participate in and lead change are emphasized. At the same time, organizational conditions such as coordination, resources, technical support and clear governance are required.

The period of church awakening in Sweden during the first half of the nineteenth century, has had a great influence on the Swedish society. During that time certain persons are to be noticed. Peter Fjellstedt and Peter Wieselgren, priests in the Swedish Church, are among those who were of special importance. But even the British preacher George Scott and later the Swedish layman Carl-Olof Rosenius became aware of the importance of networking. They all felt a call from God to preach a message of redemption and restoration.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to study the information support by the head office of the Swedish social insurance office to its administrators. The thesis only focuses on information that concerns laws, regulations and instructions. The study is based on an interview with the head of the division of law at the social insurance head office and a questionnaire answered by administrators in four different counties. The purpose with the interview was to find out about the information strategy of the head office and in the questionnaire the administrators could describe their opinion of their information support. Our special interest was the information channels and how the administrators were able to absorb the essential information.

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete utfört på ingenjörshögskolan (Maskin), Borås i samarbete med företaget Unitraffic AB. Unitraffic AB utvecklar, tillverkar och marknadsför teknik för trafik- och hastighetsövervakning för den skandinaviska marknaden. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att utveckla en servicelösning samt nykonstruktion för kringutrustning för en genomsnittshastighetsmätare, Trip-Track.Servicelösningen kommer att införas på displayer som visar symptom på läckage. Examensarbetet har också resulterat i ett förslag till en bättre konstruktion på displayhuset samt förslag på nykonstruktioner av kapsling av huvuddator och kapsling för videodisplay..

Dräktighetstoxikos är en metabolisk sjukdom som framför allt drabbar högdräktiga tackor med fler än ett foster. Sjukdomen karakteriseras av flera ämnesomsättningsrubbningar men orsak och patogenes till sjukdomen är fortfarande inte helt känd. Det är därför svårt att förebygga sjukdomen och behandla tackorna på rätt sätt, vilket gör att många tackor som drabbas av dräktighetstoxikos inte överlever utan dör efter några dagar med symptom. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa de två mest omtalade teorierna, undernäring och bristfälligt energiutnyttjande, som orsaker till varför dräktighetstoxikos uppkommer. Den första bygger på att sjukdomen orsakas av undernäring hos tackorna och karakteriseras av hypoglykemi och hyperketonemi.

Nattarbete medför risk för utveckling av hjärt- och kärlsjukdom, mag-tarmsjukdom och sömnsvårigheter. Det finns en ökad risk för olycksfall under arbete nattetid och det kan medföra psykosociala konsekvenser. Enligt Arbetsmiljöverkets författningssamling skall periodisk läkarundersökning erbjudas innan nattarbete påbörjas och sedan med sex års mellanrum med följande undantag, med tre års mellanrum när arbetstagaren fyllt 50 årUnder år 2004 kontrollerades 68 personer, som arbetade natt i Hallands landsting, på Landstingshälsan i Varberg. Syftet med att sammanställa undersökningsresultaten var att få en uppfattning av hälsotillståndet i gruppen samt undersöka om det fanns samband mellan för högt BMI och hypertoni respektive hypercholesterolemi, om rökare hade fler kroppsliga symptom/besvär än icke-rökare samt om sömnproblem ökade med åldern.Undersökningen genomfördes enligt gällande rutiner med blodprovstagning, frågeformulär samt undersökning av företagsläkare och företagssköterska.Gruppen bestod av 61 kvinnor och sju män med varierande utbildning och med olika arbetsplatser. 65 personer hade vårdarbete, tre personer arbetade inte med vård.Gruppens medelålder var 45,5 år.

Alzheimer?s disease has increasing effects on the Swedish population. Now, about 90 000 swedes have been diagnosed with the disease. Many of these persons are cared for by someone close to them. The aim of this study is to increase understanding for the situation and experiences of the persons caring for their affected partner and to examine which support they are given by the public sector.

Syfte:Denna studie syftade till att undersöka hur vanligt det var med smärtrelaterade symptom på ett företag, hur levnadsvanorna för de anställda ser ut och vilka samband som finns mellan levnadsvanor och självupplevda besvär och arbetsförmåga.Metod:För denna studie valdes en kvantitativ metod med hjälp av en enkät. Frågorna till denna enkät valdes ut från validerade frågor ifrån tidigare studier. Frågorna innehöll bl.a. vikt, längd, civilstånd, utbildning, smärtrelaterade symptom i 9 områden totalt på kroppen (bl.a. nacke, axlar, knän m.m.), kost, fysisk aktivitet (mätt med Saltin-Grimby skalan), sömnkvalitet, stress och självupplevd arbetsförmåga.

This thesis has been performed at the system development company Verendus System AB, together with the home care company Basic Care Unit (BCU).The thesis has consisted of developing a web based informationsystem for BCU in which they can administrate their business. At the time of writing this thesis, BCU was using a windows-application to administrate their activities, which was both costly aswell as resulting in an unnecessary burden. The aim the thesis has thus been to create a platform-independent information system that simplifies and streamlines BCUs work by being user-friendly aswell as imposing some simplifying features.The students has been developing the system by the help of a work method they themselves developed. The method consisted of working in several iterations that each had several milestones. The method resulted in the students knowing easily when each iteration was finished or not.The thesis resulted in a working platform independent prototype.

With the end of the Cold War the number of conflicts where the United Nations have intervened has increased dramatically. This has entailed a need for a burden-sharing between the UN and regional organizations regarding management of conflicts. The aim of this study is to make a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and the efficiency in the efforts undertaken by ECOWAS and the UN during the civil war in Sierra Leone, through using theories on conflict resolution and the advantages of regional organizations in conflict resolution.My conclusion is that both ECOWAS and the UN were quite successful in managing the conflict and had an impact on the resolution of the war, although both peace operations suffered from internal problems. ECOWAS was effective in managing the conflict and in its mediating efforts as an insider from the region. The UN was more efficient in managing to attain their goals.

Background: Patients with heart failure is a patient group growing in numbers, the most common treatment focuses on reliving symptoms and the only cure is heart transplantation. Objective: Aim of the study was to illuminate patients' experiences of living with heart failure at his home. Method: Qualitative design, with a manifest content analysis. The results are based on 12 scientific articles.  Results: Patients with heart failure find that the disease is limited to their daily lives through mental illness and physical symptoms.

Purpose of the essay: The purpose of the essay is to, from the view of the nurses working at the x-ray infirmary; see how the internal e-mail communication is working as the main digital communication method at the x-ray infirmary.Material/Method: The material has been collected using qualitative interviews with eight nurses working at the x-ray infirmary. The material has then been analyzed through a theoretical perspective based on The Media Richness theory.Main results: The results of the investigation have shown that the nurses see the internal e-mail communication as relatively poor. The information that is sent out by their superiors is often too extensive, this making the screening work an extra work burden. These e-mails are also supplied to the whole infirmary instead of being addressed to specific individuals. Seen through a media richness perspective, the e-mail is a mediumrich communication medium that well could be used in the everyday communication at the infirmary as the main communication agent.

Sjuklighet bland sjukvårdsanställda upplevdes som ett stort problem av försäkringskassan då långtidssjukskrivningarna och förtidspensioneringarna ökade kraftigt i slutet av 90-talet och början av 2000 talet. Ökningen var tydligast när det gällde diagnoser tydande på psykisk ohälsa. I början av 90-talet utgjorde de 14% av all sjukfrånvaro över 60 dagar. Denna siffra hade stigit till 23% år 2000.Syftet i detta projekt var att undersöka hur vanligt stressrelaterad prestationsnedsättning var bland sjukvårdsanställda inom VGR. Vidare att studera om det finns ett samband med ålder och symptom.En enkät,?Folkhälsan i Västra Götaland 2002? besvarades av ca 5000 invånare inom VGR .Resultaten i denna rapport koncentreras på sjuksköterskor,undersköterskor samt sjukvårdsbiträden totalt 477 st .I enkäten fick man svara på 31 kryss frågor gällande ex ålder kön och hur man upplevde sitt hälsotillstånd samt en fråga om man upplevt stress mer än 7 sammanhängande dagar den senaste 12 månadersperioden(ELO-stress)..Svaren delades in i 2 grupper beroende på om man svarat ja eller nej och sedan jämfördes sjukskrivnings frekvens.Personer som svarat Ja på frågan om stressymptom(7d/12mån) var i högre grad sjukskrivna än den grupp som ej angett dessa besvär.De yngre sjuksköterskorna samt de äldre undersköterskorna var de som upplevde mest symptom som påverkade deras arbetsinsats.
