Syftet med min undersökning var att studera hur gymnasieelever upplever att tala engelska, både ur allmän karaktär samt att undersöka hur de upplever att tala om detta sker med utgångspunkt i en film. Undersökningen genomfördes under två olika tillfällen med två olika gymnasieklasser: vårterminen 2004 och höstterminen 2004. Min undersökning visade att flertalet elever känner osäkerhet och bristande självtillit inför att tala engelska. Att använda film som motiverande faktor visade sig fungera väl, och utgjorde dessutom ett hjälpmedel till att kunna placera engelska termer i sitt rätta sammanhang. Dock visade resultatet att filmen i sig kan ersättas av andra läromedel.

An analysis was to be made of how love between teenagers as well as the heterosexual relationship in general was depicted in each of the films and further investigate the gender construction in both films.Material/method: With the intention of narrowing down the complexity and make the evaluation more lucid 5 scenes from each film were used for comparison, these were chosen through the Anglo Saxon dramaturgy. To make the scenes more comparable 4 factors were used for analysis in each scene, these were: clothes, recreational activities, behaviour and environment. Beside the above given factors the heterosexual relationship were analysed and compared in each of the scenes through the theory of dominance in dialogue.Main results: The gender construction occurs obliviously in the older film from 1970 while taking place in a more conscious way in the film from 2005. Further on the heterosexual relationship is perpetually depicted in the 70?s film with a submissive girl and predominant boy, the same dominance is easily seen in the more recent film but with a higher rate of equality as the girl is portrayed as the dominant character in almost half of all scenes.

Hägglunds Drives in Mellansel, Sweden, manufacture radial piston hydraulic motors foremostwithin applications in the industry. These motors have several sliding contacts, one of these, isthe contact between piston ring and cylinder bore. The radial piston hydraulic motors advantageis to produce high torque in very low rotation velocity, this result in that the maximum slidingvelocity between piston ring and cylinder bore, during the whole stroke, is very low. Theconsequence of this low sliding velocity is that the contact between piston ring and cylinderbore, during the whole stroke, is bound to the boundary lubrication regime. This result in, thatthe piston ring is exposed to wear, thus affect the service life of the complete hydraulic motor.To minimize wear of piston ring, it is essential to determine the oil film thickness between thepiston ring and cylinder bore.

Recent studies show that the knowledge in and understanding of science, technology andmathematics of Swedish junior high school and high school students is decreasing. As a resultof this the Swedish government has initialized several studies, research and reforms. One ofthe theories for teaching that today is seen as effective is the socio-cultural perspective and itsdescendants, including scientific inquiry. Using the pedagogy of the socio-cultural perspectivefour assignments regarding the human body was constructed for junior high school studentsattending summer research school in the summer of 2008, hosted by AstraZeneca. Theassignments follow a structure (goal of assignment, preparations, experiment and follow-up)inspired by the concept of NTA ? Naturvetenskap och Teknik för Alla (Science andTechnology for everyone).

Syftet är att klargöra om det finns ett samband mellan antalet kvinnor i styrelse respektive ledningsgrupp och hur företaget presterar samt hur dess kapitalstruktur är uppbyggd. Uppsatsen består av kvantitativ primärdata insamlad och analyserad utifrån en deduktiv metod. Resultaten presenteras i form av regressions-analyser. Teorierna i uppsatsen behandlar undersökningsvariablerna resultat efter finansiella poster, omsättning per anställd, soliditet och TSR. Dessutom behandlas teorier om styrelser och ledningsgrupper samt jämställdhet inom desamma.

Denna uppsats är en studie i huruvida spelfilmer kan sägas vara en pedagogisk metod eller underhållning i religionsundervisning. Uppsatsens syfte är därför att ur både pedagogers och elevers perspektiv beskriva och besvara frågan om film gynnar lärande och undervisning i religionsämnet. För att få svar på våra frågeställningar har vi genomfört både en kvalitativ och en kvantitativ studie. Som metod har vi använt oss av intervjuer bland pedagoger och enkät bland elever. Vi har utgått ifrån följande teman: attityd, förväntan, motivation, filmens tillämpning samt filmens fördelar och nackdelar.

Everything is seen from the director?s point of view, she is working in a film world dominated by men.Questions are being asked if the director?s instructions are clear enough or if the actor, fearing getting lost, is mixing up his own feelings with those of the character he is portraying? What happens to the collaboration and how does it affect the rest of the team and the completion of the production? The director is also the producer.

Filmskapare har unika hantverksmässiga kunskaper om hur man påverkar mänskliga kognitiva processer för att uppnå önskade effekter på åskådaren. Om dessa kunskaper blev systematiserade med hjälp av empirisk forskning, skulle de kunna komma till nytta även inom vetenskapliga discipliner där man intresserar sig för människans kognition.I denna uppsats kombineras analysen av två filmsekvenser med ett experiment i vilket åskådarnas ögonrörelser filmades och personerna fick svara på frågor om sina intryck av filmen. Resultaten tyder på att människor framför allt blir medvetna om sådana intryck som liknar verkligheten, t.ex. karaktärers personlighet och beteende, snarare än sådant som rör filmens form. Dessa fynd diskuteras i ett allmänt kognitivt perspektiv och ytterligare empiriska undersökningar föreslås för att studera samspelet mellan filmen och åskådaren.Summary in English:Through their craft, film artists have unique insights into methods of influencing human cognitive processes to achieve desired impact on the spectator.

This project was about the creation of a shorter computer animated film. Thegoal of the project was to explore a different technique of the visual outcomethat should not rely on photorealistic rendering and how to find new interestingways to use 3d-graphic for visuals. A big part of the project was also toincorporate music to create a chosen atmosphere and impact on the viewer butalso to help the story forward and questions such as; ?How can you create anexpression for the feeling you want to transmit?? were formulated. The scenewas built up in a 3d-application consisting of a house and surrounding garden,which within an character was animated to tell the plot.

Men vad hittar vi mellan dessa pärmar och vad är det för siffror VD:n talar om? A rhetorical analysis of the educational interactive film ?Riskprofilen?, produced by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Swedish: Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap). This essay uses the theories and methods of Procedural Rhetoric, as described by Professor Ian Bogost, and Visual Rhetoric, as described by Professor Brigitte Mral to analyse the interactive and visual component parts of the artefact, and compares them to the intended purposes of the artefact as stated by documents pertaining to its creation, found to be those of educating the public; marketing the agency; and driving traffic to its webpage. The artefact is through analysis found to fulfil the purposes of marketing the Agency and of likely increasing traffic to the website upon which it is hosted. Regarding the primary, educational purpose this analysis finds that the artefact does not teach a user the accident-avoidance strategies it claims to do, but is dependent upon further materials..

The purpose of this study is to generate a greater understanding of the different ways in which music can be used to build an identity and create image within movies, and also to explain the different impacts this can have on the parties involved. Through the history of movies music has been used as a tool for enhancement and for expression of emotions. Through music the audience relates to personal memories or emotional states and the experience is given a deeper impact, helping to create memorable movie scenes. Certain directors have created a unique identity through the use of music in their movies, and also artists have been brought forward by starring in a soundtrack. What we find interesting, and what is also the discussion in this study, is in what ways this collaboration/artistic expression can be done and what impact it has on the parties involved.

This thesis focus on the presentation of the filmic room the viewer sees in George A. Romero´s three horror classics Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. The hypothesis goes as follow; fear and element of tension becomes greater if the audience/viewer has a good knowledge about the filmic room in the film, in other words, a good spatial awareness. The conclusion is that it does. The environment is active in its becoming and in its presentation to the viewer.

Idrottsrörelsen involverar i dag över 3 miljoner människor i Sverige. För att hålla ordning på alla idrottsutövare behöver förbund och föreningar pålitliga administrationssystem och bra IT-lösningar. Riksidrottsförbundet utvecklar ett gemensamt administrationssystem, IdrottOnline, som i dag används av ungefär 50 specialidrottsförbund och 13 000 föreningar (maj 2010). Majoriteten av användarna till systemet är ideellt arbetande föreningsmänniskor. För att underlätta deras arbete bör systemet vara enkelt och smidigt att använda och inte kräva alltför stora ansträngningar att lära sig.Syftet med det här projektet är att utforma en åtgärdsplan för IdrottOnline med förändringsförslag.
