The purpose of this essay is to examine what literary heritage teachers communicate in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school. The overall research question for this work is: Which authors and/or works are mentioned by the teachers in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school? How well do these authors and/or works answer towards a multicultural perspective? Which factors affect teachers´ selections of texts? Based on this purpose and these research questions, the aim is to answer the didactic question of what.To accomplish the purpose of the study a quantitative method has been used. The survey was conducted in two medium-sized cities in central Sweden, and was answered by 17 teachers. The study shows that the teachers ascribe the Western and Swedish literature great importance.

För att konkurrera på den globala marknaden och för att följa utvecklingen så har en nationell strategi för svensk besöksnäring tagits fram. Strategin kallas Vision2020 och fokuserar på destinationsutveckling samt utveckling av exportmogna produkter för att öka Sveriges attraktionskraft och få fler resenärer att besöka Sverige. Denna studie fokuserar på hur kreativitet kan användas för att skapa mer innovativa produkter. Syftet är att undersöka hur ett innovationsverktyg kan utformas utifrån kreativitetsteori och empiri för produktutveckling åt småföretag inom besöksnäringen i Swedish Lapland.

Under de senaste 30 åren har Kinas ekonomi utvecklats snabbt, vilket hänger väl ihop med landets fastighetsutveckling. Sedan den marknadsinriktade bostadsreformen 1998 har Kinas bostadsmarknad haft en snabb tillväxt med en kraftig prisökning under de senaste fem, sex åren. Denna uppsats har syftet att undersöka de kinesiska bostadsprisernas utveckling och utforska de faktorer som drivit bostädernas prisutveckling. Med insamlade årliga data från Kinas National Bureau of Statistics för perioden 1995-2010 genomfördes grafiska analyser och ekonometriska analyser. Studiens grafiska resultat visar att bostadspriset har en stabil utveckling under perioden 1995-2004.

This thesis deals with the characterization of Japan and Japanese people by Swedish travelers during the Meiji period. It seeks to answer what aspects of Japanese people two Swedish travelers chose to highlight, and how these aspects were presented in their travelogues. This thesis also has a second aim. By applying Edward Said?s theory of orientalism, it wants to answer if Swedish travelogues were influenced by western 19th century ideas of colonialism and imperialism.

This paper will answer which factors are important for the business relation between a small Swedish import company and a Chinese contractor. The problem is based partly in theories that points to cultural and organizational differences between Sweden and China, and partly in current examples from Swedish companies. The relevant data has been collected by interviews with three small Swedish companies that are currently using Chinese contractors.The result is that the differences between the countries and organizations exist, but that they do not interfere with the inter-company relations. The conclusion is that our result contradictsthe established theories in the field, and that a more comprehensive investigation is warranted..

With this master thesis we wanted to find out in which way the concept of public service is connected to different perspectives, ideals, visions of the future and forms of organizations. The purpose with our thesis was to do an analysis of different concepts regarding to public service. To the analysis of concepts we used Swedish newspapers and analysed the issue of public service that had been discussed in articles written during the last five years. From this material and other papers about public service we developed a model of public service ideals. We wanted to find out what the different perspectives thought about the Swedish television and their commission.

I den nya läroplanen för förskolan, lpfö 98 (reviderad 2010) ligger stort fokus på estetiken. Estetik kan innefatta många olika områden i förskolans verksamhet men poängteras ofta i ämnen som musik och bild. Den här studien syftar på att undersöka hur sex förskollärare tycker och tänker om musik och bild i verksamheten. Detta ska sedan sättas i relation till läroplanen för förskolan, lpfö 98 (reviderad 2010). Undersökningen genomförs med hjälp av samtalsintervju där sex förskollärare intervjuas med samma frågor.

 Abstract This paper is to examine a specific integration projects by the name of SFINX, the participants' perspective. We chose to highlight three themes that concern the analysis what the participants thought about the content / efficacy, effectiveness and efficiency analysis, which means what the participants thought could be improved in the project. What emerged in our study is that research shows that Swedish education with professional orientation and integrated practice is a key factor for migrants to get into the Swedish labor market. And that Sfx teaching has been implemented in several places with good results. SFINX is also a Sfx project but is addressed to engineers.

The Swedish Armed Forces is a public institution and consequently obliged to follow Swedish and international legislation. Thus, they are subjected to contrarious demands from different actors operating in its high-technological and high-institutional environment: to be a legitimate institution and at the same time operate with a high level of efficiency. This thesis is conducted with the aim of investigating whether The Swedish Armed Forces' steering document for gender equality is used to achieve visible and quantifiable results or if the document constitute a medium for reverberating legitimacy. To answer the research question, we applied a critical discourse analysis on the relevant documents and on the conducted semi-constructed interviews with members from different levels and positions in the organizational hierarchy. Subsequently, we came to the conclusion that the Swedish Armed Forces manage the demands for efficiency and legitimacy, which are forced upon them from the technological and institutional environment, by talking about them.

The purpose of this study is to show how the Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet andDagens Nyheter reported on and described Dag Hammarskjöld as a man and a symbolat the time of his death in 1961. The method for the research has been a qualitativethematic analysis of the content in the articles published from the date ofHammarskjöld´s death to the day after the funeral. The study has been based on theoriesabout newspapers roles in the construction of imagined communities, the use of mythsand the objectifying of abstract ideas in news texts.I have found that the investigated newspapers described Dag Hammarskjöld assynonymous with the United Nations, the world peace and a hope for the future. He wasalso described as a link between the present and the past in the Swedish history at thesame time as he was described as a man of the people. He was representing?Swedishness? in an international context and the cosmopolitan.

Syfte och frågeställningar: Syftet är att identifiera olika genusstereotyper som används i ICA-reklamfilmerna. De frågeställningar som uppsatsen utgår ifrån är; Hur vidmakthålls och används genusroller i ICA-reklamfilmerna och på vilka sätt synliggörs genusstereotyper.Metod och material: Denna uppsats behandlar kvalitativ genusstereotypisk representation av män respektive kvinnor i tre ICA-reklamfilmer. Fokus placeras endast på huvudkaraktärerna, både de manliga och kvinnliga. De utvalda reklamfilmerna är Efter sommaren (2010), Trucken (2010) och Familjefrukost (2012).Hur och om karaktärerna framställs ur ett genusstereotypiskt perspektiv undersöks med hjälp av semiotisk bildanalys som utförs på en denotativ- och konnotativ nivå. Författaren tar även ansats i kritisk diskursanalys.Huvudresultat: Resultaten visar en relativ stereotypisk kritik.

Today automotive manufacturers are facing a crisis with increased pressure to strengthen their brands. To prevent declining results many automakers have chosen to extend its brand to other industries i.e. various forms of brand extensions. Automotive manufacturers have developed an international strategy for what merchandise to offer. The strategy has received an overall positive response, however, it does not apply well within the Swedish market where merchandise is sold in less quantity than abroad.

The aim of this paper is to examine which attitudes and experiences teachers have around the wide text concept, which is found in the course plan for the Swedish subject, and to find out which function films have in their teaching. The starting point of the paper?s theoretical part is the Swedish subject?s course plans and current research concerning the wide text concept and film in teaching. In order to achieve the formulated aim, qualitative interviews have been performed with three Swedish teachers active in the later years of compulsory-school.The result shows that there are divided opinions of the actual meaning of the concept. However the three teachers agree that film has something to enrich the teaching of the Swedish language and they are for most part positive to using film in their teaching.

This thesis is a report of the practical aspects and the problems of classification and documentation of a collection of memorabilias from the Crown Princess Couple's Wedding in Stockholm 2010. The collection contains 38 objects collected by Nordiska museet [The Nordic Museum], Sweden's largest museum of cultural history. Nordiska museet has a total collection of over 1,5 million items collected since 1873. My ambition in this thesis has been to describe my work with the classification and documentation of these new objects and their context. One of the main problems was how to combine the modern objects with the old existing collection within the two classification systems used at the museum.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vad bilderna i en tidning med yngre målgrupp förmedlar för budskap till läsaren. Den tidning som valts till undersökningen är Julia, vars målgrupp är tjejer i åldern 9?14 år.Med utgångspunkt i den övergripande frågeställningen: "Hur ser människorna ut på bilderna i Julia ? och vad förmedlar detta till läsaren?", genomförs en kvantitativ innehållsanalys utifrån 28 variabler. Totalt undersöks 1 245 bilder på människor i nio nummer av Julia från år 2000?2010.Uppsatsen utgår från teorier framförda av bland annat Jostein Gripsrud, Nina Huntemann och Michael Morgan, som avhandlar medias roll i barns skapande av identitet.Undersökningen visar att den typiska tjejen i Julia är ung, icke-blond, har europeiskt utseende, poserar, ler och tittar in i kameran.
