The aim of this study was to examine how clients who have or have previously had a drug- and/or alcohol addiction experienced interchanges with social workers. In this study, eight semi-structured interviews were made with respondents from an out-patient clinic in a small town in Sweden. Questions were asked regarding clients? experience of the social workers' attitudes during the initial meeting as well as all continuing meetings. Other possible variables that affected the interchanges, either positively or negatively, including how the clients wanted to be treated, were also explored.

The aim of this M.A.-thesis in social work is to problematize the assimilatoric concept of integration and its discourses in a postcolonial perspective in relation to social work in Denmark.As a support theory I use symbolic interactionism. By using these theories I show how the concept of integration and its discourses, when its aim is assimilatoric, can be understood and problematized with concepts as binary oppositions and hegemony.It is shown that the construction of the discoursive other is a useful term as an instrument of interpretation of power in general. The relevance to social work in relation to the social workers double powered positions, professional and cultural power to define 'the other', in social work with ethnic minorities is shown in relation to the post colonial perspective with support of symbolic interactionism. The white western world hegemony and the social workers power positions in relation to the clients fits to the theoretic frame chosen in the thesis.A second aim in this thesis is to point to new ways for social work and to the necessity to reflect over a globalized world characterized by international migration, ethnic relations and diversity..

The purpose of this candidate thesis is to obtain an overall picture of how many prohibitions against owning or taking care of animals that were announced in Sweden in the years 2006-2008 and on what basis these judicial decisions were taken. What is the situation for the person behind the judicial decisions? Is there a so-called risk category where preventive actions to solve the problem can be taken at an earlier stage?The first Swedish animal welfare legislation came into force in 1944. Previously there was a law of 1857 that only prohibited the maltreatment of farm animals. In 1988 the existing animal welfare law was revised into an in principle new law (1988:534).As early as in the Royal Majesty?s government bill (1944:43) to the 1944 animal welfare legislation, there was a proposal that issued prohibition for those having been convicted of aggravated cruelty to animals.

We chose to study the groups for divorced children in Vellinge municipal because there was no evaluation made of these kinds of groups with the involved methods.Vellinge municipal has had groups for children to divorced parents since 2000. During this period of time the total numbers of children in these groups have expanded. As of now, there are two groups.Our goal with this study was to see which way the CAP, Children Are People, manual has been implemented in the every-day work in the group. Several studies have been made about CAP but not in the context of groups for divorced children. We have also examined results in other municipals that have implemented groups for divorced children into their social services.We have interviewed ten children and four social workers.

KÀllor som jag frÀmst har anvÀnt mig av till undersökningen Àr Sveriges LÀrarförbunds remissyttrande, LÀroplansförslaget och sammantrÀdesprotokoll frÄn Sveriges LÀrarförbund.Nyheter som Lgr 80 innebar var bland annat en revidering av betygssystemet, decentraliserad skola och ett nytt tillvalssystem. Sveriges LÀrarförbund kunde pÄverka arbetet med lÀroplanen bÄde genom sin medverkan i arbetsgrupperna samt genom sitt remissyttrande..

ABSTRACT - SAMMANFATTNINGStudiens syfte Àr att undersöka om socialt stöd har olika betydelse för vÀlbefinnandet beroende pÄ individens psykologiska ÄterhÀmtningsförmÄga. Samt om det finns skillnader i sambandet kvantitativt socialt stöd - vÀlbefinnade och kvalitativt socialt stöd ? vÀlbefinnande. Hypotesen Àr att det sociala stödet har en större betydelse för individer med lÄg ÄterhÀmtningsförmÄga för deras vÀlbefinnade och att det sociala stödets betydelse Àr mindre för individer med hög ÄterhÀmtningsförmÄga för deras vÀlbefinnande. Det kvantitativa stödet innebÀr hur ofta en individ trÀffar mÀnniskor.

Denna uppsats handlar om social Ängest hos elever i skolan relaterat till skolans arbetssÀtt och redovisningsformer. VÄrt syfte var att undersöka lÀrares uppfattningar huruvida skolans arbetssÀtt och redovisningsformer kan medföra eller motverka att social Ängest framkallas hos eleverna. Syftet var Àven att undersöka elevers Äsikter om arbetssÀtt och redovisningsformer i skolan. UtifrÄn resultatet av enkÀtundersökningen, intervjuerna och det som tidigare forskats fram i Àmnet drog vi slutsatsen att skolans arbetssÀtt och redovisningsformer bÄde kan medföra och motverka att social Ängest framkallas hos eleverna. Detta beroende pÄ vilken hÀnsyn som tas till problem med social Ängest i skolans vardagliga arbete..

Denna studie undersökte samsjuklighet mellan smÀrta och social Ängest i en smÀrtpopulation genom klusteranalys. Syftet var att undersöka om det fanns en undergrupp bland smÀrtpatienter som skattade högt pÄ social Ängest samt högt pÄ upplevd invalidering före och efter smÀrtbehandling. Syftet var vidare att se om denna undergrupp skattade annorlunda vad gÀller funktion jÀmfört med smÀrtpatienter med lÄg grad av social Ängest samt se hur individer rörde sig mellan kluster över tid. Data bestod av sjÀlvskattningsformulÀr frÄn 157 smÀrtpatienter. Resultatet visade att det fanns en undergrupp som skattade högt pÄ social Ängest och upplevd invalidering.

This study aims to examine how social workers, in the Swedish social services, perceive and interpret LVU § 3 from a gender perspective. In total eight social workers participated in the study, attending interviews based on a vignette. From a gender perspective we wanted to found out how the social workers define "other socially destructive behaviour" and understand their thoughts about this subject. Moreover, we aimed to see if social workers perceive any differences between boys and girls behaviour. Based on several theories, two gender theories and concepts we have analysed our result from the interviews.

The interest of mindfulness has grown steadily during the last two decades. Mindfulness presence in the area of social work is mostly as an intervention offered to clients. However, the purpose of this study is to examine what implications the social worker?s mindfulness may have for the relationship with the clients. There is a lack of scientific studies focusing on mindfulness and the relationship between the client and the social worker.

The aim of this study is to through six interviews, with six experienced, social workers?, in three cities, understand how the child?s position in the Swedish child protective services? enquiries has change, and the factors behind it. The aim is also to compare if the social workers? view of the child?s position in the enquire has change accordingly to Socialstyrelsens intentions of BBIC. The theoretical approaches that was used is the new institutionalism, the Shier?s pathways to participation and the term discretion.

The purpose of this study was to examine why adventure treatment is mainly directed towards young men and how that can be related to the construction of masculinity.Our questions were:- What were the social workers thoughts and images about masculinity?- Why did they think adventure treatment were suitable for young men and for what reasons?- How did the social workers describe their role as treatment providers?This study was a qualitative study that was based on six interviews as well as observations. We tried to find patterns and deviations in our empirical material. Then we connected them with previous research and theories. The social workers described the typical client as a competitive kind of person, interested in physical activities and with boyish manners.

During the 90?s, several reforms took place in order to change the educational system. The reforms intended to increase the freedom of choice and to facilitate the start-up process for driving independent schools. A broad alliance of political parties from left to right supported these reforms. Twenty years later, the independent schools constitute a substantial part of schools in Sweden.

I mÄnga fall beror det pÄ att de inte har tillgÄng till samma lekmiljöer som andra barn har. Syftet med studien var att undersöka arbetsterapeuters upplevelser av hinder i delaktighet i lekaktivitet hos barn med funktionsnedsÀttning samt att beskriva arbetsterapeutiska ÄtgÀrder för att skapa förutsÀttningar för delaktighet i lekaktivitet för dessa barn.
