I detta examensarbete fokuseras staden, planen och marknaden. Mer konkret behandlas den offentliga planeringens makt i relation till marknadskrafter i den fysiska planeringen. Detta tema formuleras utifrån iakttagelser från samtiden och underbyggs sedan med svensk och internationell forskning. De huvudsakliga frågeställningarna handlar om 1, den offentliga planeringens användning av det kommunala planmonopolet, 2, hur olika aktörer agerar i planprocessen, samt 3, om förhandlingar påverkar utfallet i planprocessen. Undersökningen genomförs som en enfallsstudie av en aktuell planprocess, en planprocess där just relationer mellan offentliga och privata aktörer förväntats. Fallet som undersöks är processen kring omvandlingen av Norra Backa i Borlänge.

This paper is finishing part of the two-year master programme in Industrial Engineering and Management.Initially there was an inquiry of studying the queue-times that Fläkt Woods uses when they break down internal working orders. These times were assumed to be too generalised and does not apply to the actual value of the queue-times which generates incorrect data and delivery delays. During the work of this paper it has been established that it is not the queue-times that is the biggest problem. The problem is the shop floor control and the lack of manufacturing the right products at the right time. Therefore an analysis of the production planning process was made to bring forward the real problems.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how a valuation model of a Private Equity firm is interpreted into a management control system within the company's different organizational levels. A case study was developed based on the infra-net company Eltel. The management control systems developed by Malmi and Brown (2008)(1) was used to characterize the control systems at each organizational level. The building blocks of this system are planning, cybernetic, reward/compensation, administrative and culture. Miller and O'Learys (2007)(2) theory of mediating instruments and technology roadmaps was applied to analyze the mediating process of the valuation model.

This thesis provides a comparison of the old Planning and Building act (PBA) from 1987 with the new PBA, which entered into force in May 2011. The essay consists of a descriptive part that presents the regulation of both laws. The new PBA consists of several differences compared to previous regulation. This thesis will, however, primarily be centred around the regulation regarding building permit appeals and the possibility of building permit, to gain legal force.In the old PBL, there were no regulations that result in a building permit decision could be made effective. Instead, a building permit could, long after the decision had been made, be over-challenged.

Examensarbetet handlar om utveckling av de centrala delarna samt stationsområdet i Vårgårda tätort, Vårgårda kommun. Syftet med arbetet har varit att förtäta med ny bebyggelse i de centrala delarna av tätorten samt att effektivisera ytan och området vid stationen. Arbetet är tänkt att kunna användas som ett idéunderlag av kommunen för deras framtida utveckling av tätorten. Litteraturstudier har gjorts kring ämnet stationssamhällen och en inventering av planområdet har gjorts. Som analysmetoder har jag använt mig av Kevin Lynch, SWOT-analys, en enkel bebyggelseinventering för att skapa riktlinjer för ny bebyggelse samt även besök på orterna Herrljunga och Uddevalla, där jag studerat lösningar på stationsområdena för att se hur dessa orter löst problemen med de nya funktioner som måste irnymmas på ett äldre stationsområde.

Good business relations can contribute to the success of IT-outsourcing, and create new business opportunities. Despite a sharply increasing trend to outsource IT-operations there is a high degree of failures related. The cause may be that some important factors have not been taken into account. The purpose is to investigate elationships within IT-outsourcing and test if specific factors identified by previous research are being concerned in IT-outsourcing relationships and also to investigate the view IT-outsourcing customers and suppliers have on business. Research shows that business relationships are widespread throughout companies. It demonstrated that a small number of business relationships can have a major impact on a company's financial performance and may create stability. Business relationships can be divided into an arm's length relationships and strategic alliances depending on the degree of involvement.

The purpose is to understand the planning process for residential buildings and toinvestigate the consequences of the choices made in the process. Although being recognized as holding great cultural-historical significance by local officials, numerous parts of the functionalistic development along Friggagatan became demolished in 2008.This bachelor thesis have surveyed how the planning process proceeded through various municipal committees, and moreover, how different interest groups gathered around certain discursive attitudes. As a consequence of various paradigm shifts in society, e.g. that local government gradually are depending on private economic initiatives, there are to some extent a fear among politicians that cultural-historical demands can risk economic growth.Nevertheless, a building or a development are in fact bearing different value-perspectives, such as economic, functional and cultural-historical. Due to the fact that the heritage-sector has limited resources, in combination with sometimes vaguely and obsolete conservation documents, the sector have difficulties of responding common economic arguments, which leads that the real estate-owner gets total interpretative prerogative.However, despite a sometimes suspicious political attitude towards an improved conservation document, e.g. with continuously updates concerning a building?s technical and economic status, there are some political initiatives working towards it..

Karlskrona är unikt i Sverige genom sin geografiska placering i kustlandskapet med de begränsningar det ger för framtida utvidgningar. Centrala Trossö ligger i en ände av staden och under flera århundraden har staden bara kunnat växa in över land. När många städer pratar om stadsformer som ?rund stad? och ?bandstad? har Karlskrona en form av ?tårtbitsstad? med centrum i spetsen och resten av staden i nordöstlig riktning. Staden strävar efter att behålla Trossö som centrum, men har idag problem med att allt fler bor längre och längre från ön.

Boendesegregationen i våra svenska städer är ett problem som ökar. Den fysiska planeringen är en faktor som påverkar hur väl stadsdelar är fysiskt integrerade med varandra. Olika planeringsideal leder till skilda typer av fysiska strukturer, och i stadsbyggnadsprojekt finns idag visioner om att koppla samman fysiskt och socialt segregerade stadsdelar med den nya strukturen. Målet är att bidra till en ökad integration, såväl fysiskt som socialt. Syftet med arbetet har varit att studera två sådana aktuella projekt, H+ i Helsingborg och Hyllie i Malmö, för att se vilka fysiska strukturer och arbetssätt som förordas och vad de ser för möjligheter och begränsningar att genomföra visionerna. En diskursanalys med visionsdokument och intervjuer med projektdeltagare som grund genomfördes, för att se på vilket sätt det talas om att den fysiska planeringen kan bidra till integration.
