"Stad vid Strömmen ? En studie i Norrköping om funktionens betydelse för en hållbar stadsutveckling"

Arbete som fokuserar på stadens fysiska strukturer samt stadens funktioner inom ett område i centrala Norrköping. I arbetet redovisas dels en allmänteoretisk beskrivning av begreppen hållbar utveckling, stadens fysiska strukturer och stadens funktion, och därefter en analys av det aktuella planområdet utifrån dessa aspekter. Inledningsvis återges grundläggande historie-, och nutidsbeskrivning av Norrköping samt problembeskrivning för det planområde som uppsatsen avser ge förbättringsförslag för. Uppsatser ger även fördjupad kunskap i såväl allmänteoretiska som platsspecifika ämnen så som hållbar utveckling, stadens fysiska strukturer, stadens funktion samt om medborgardeltagande. Det planförslag som presenteras i arbetet syftar till att itergrera de olika delarna i centrala Norrköping ur planeringssynpunkt samt ge ett tryggare och livligare centrum i Norrköping med ett ökat flöde av folk och där vissa kvarter inte bara passeras förbi obemärkta utan även ger invånarna anledning att stanna till. Planförlaget analyseras därefter utifrån både långsiktiga och kortsiktiga konsekvenser för samtliga olika faktorer som tagits upp tidigare. Här skall man tydligt kunna se hur väl planförslaget uppfyller sitt syfte.

Behandlingsrelationensbetydelse inom öppenvård

Purpose: To examine how a tour operator works to implement sustainability in the development of the business, as well as what significance it has to consumers in selecting a tour operator. Furthermore, the purpose is to provide recommendations on how tour operators should work to communicate their commitments.Methodology: The research strategy applied is a case study which follows an abductive approach. Qualitative and quantitative methods were applied to complement each other. A semi-structured interview with a tour operator and a consumer survey constitute the empirical foundation.Conclusion: The conclusion of the study is that consumers show a positive attitude towards CSR, but do not see it as a determinant when choosing a tour operator. Thus, CSR does not constitute a competitive advantage against competitors.

Strategiskt CSR-arbete i den svenska modebranschen - en studie av fyra företag

The concept Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) describes a company's social and environmental work. More and more companies have embraced the concept of CSR and for some businesses, it has become equally important to present its efforts within CSR as to present its latest profits.The purpose of this essay is to establish an overall picture of a company's CSR efforts and to discuss the potential conflict between CSR and the aim for profit We investigate how businesses can improve their CSR effort so that it contributes to a positive development for the society while still creating economic value for the company. The study is based on a qualitative study of four Swedish companies in the fashion industry: Kappahl, Gina Tricot, Åhlens and Indiska. The results show that according to the theoretical framework, the four companies do not reach a complete strategic approach to CSR. Ekologisk omställning av efterkrigstidens bebyggelse med utgångspunkter i hållbar stadsutveckling

Mer än hälften av alla lägenheter i Sverige byggdes under åren 1950-1975, den perioden som i svensk bebyggelsehistoria brukar kallas för efterkrigstiden. Bilden av områden från den här tiden är ofta negativ och det är ofta i områden från den här tiden som de sociala problemområdena i svenska städer finns. Idag är många av dessa områden nedgångna och slitna och i behov av en upprustning. Områden från den här tiden planerades efter andra förutsättningar och lever idag inte alltid upp till de krav som ställs på resurshushållning och kretsloppstänkande. Den här uppsatsen fokuserar på de möjligheter som finns i förnyelsen av dessa områden och hur en omställning mot ett hållbart ekologiskt samhälle kan appliceras där. En ekologisk omställning kan bidra till att förbättra hållbarhetens alla dimensioner. I den fysiska miljön kan många åtgärder göras för att förbättra situationen i dessa bostadsområden.

Also if there are any differences between profit companies and nonprofit organizations.Method/Material: The method that is used in the article is a qualitative research. The research is based on conversations interviews conducted with eight organizations, four profit companies and four nonprofit organizations.Main results: The main result showed that all organizations are actively involved with social media in their strategic communication when in order to increase the interaction with stakeholders and thus strengthen their brand identity. It turned out that all organizations have not adapted the brand to social media, but worked with the organizations values ??and only applied the trademark on social media.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how four companies in Värmland, Sweden, are working strategically with their brands. This is a qualitative method in which we have used a combination of interviews and literature review in order to investigate the link between brands and the Karlstad region.Even though there is a huge interest in brands, there are only a few companies who can describe clearly what their own brand represents. This probably due to the fact that the brand is still regarded as a tactical tool, rather than as a strategic one. Because of this we find it very interesting to investigate how organizations in Värmland think about this issue. Are brands regarded as a strategic resource, and how strong is the link between their brands and the region?The result indicate that organizations are working strategically with their brands, but they can still get better.

The purpose of this thesis is to illustrate how non-profit organizations map the market of potential donors and how they apply their knowledge about the motives of the potential donors. The case-study of Church of Sweden Aid shows how a Swedish non-profit organization applies this in the daily work. In its strategic marketing the organization actively use marketing surveys in different forms. By employing an analyst Church of Sweden Aid has a possibility to make another step forward in order to understand its donor market and to adjust its strategic marketing plan to it. Church of Sweden Aid says that they don?t work with the donor?s motives.

Norsholm - i periferins mitt

Norsholm kan beskrivas som en bostadsort i ett lugnt och unikt läge vid sjön Roxen och Göta kanal som på sommaren lever upp i och med omfattande turisttrafik på kanalen, vilket även lockar besökande på land. Det lilla samhället präglas av småskalighet men har närhet till en stor bostads-, studie- och arbetsmarknad. Inom regionen vill kommunerna i framtiden genom bra kommunikationer knyta samman redan etablerade orter som ett alternativ till att bygga ut nya förortsområden och i detta sammanhang nämns Norsholm som en potentiell utvecklingsort. Södra stambanan skär idag genom samhället, men tågen stannar inte här. Om Ostlänken blir verklighet, som innebär att Södra stambanan kan öppnas upp för pendeltågstrafik, skulle Norsholm kunna få en egen pendeltågsstation med täta avgångar inom regionen. Flera viktiga planeringsfrågor aktualiseras beträffande Norsholms framtid, men den viktigaste är var och hur en expansion av orten kan ske, vilket föranleder en strategi som kan formuleras genom ett program..

Ett samhällsengagemang som Skapar Shared Value - En studie om hållbarhetsstyrning och Creating Shared Value i en svensk kontext

This study investigates the corporate sustainability activity, linked to the company's core business, which is a relatively unexplored field in a Swedish context. The study examines how the organization has used management control for its sustainability activity within two social initiatives; and whether these initiatives have generated value for the organization and involved stakeholders. Management control of social initiatives are examined within the theoretical framework of The Sustainable Balanced Scorecard and the organization's value creation contributions are outlined in accordance with a definition of the concept of Creating Shared Value. The method used for the implementation of the study is a qualitative study, embodied in an illustrative case study of a large Swedish company operating within financial sector. The empirical data was collected through 12 in-depth interviews with representative interviewees within the organization and with other stakeholders involved in the company's social initiatives.

Utvärdering av traktplanering på SCA Skog

This study is an analysis of a survey that harvester operators working for SCA Ångermanland Skogsförvaltning have been participating in. The purpose of this study is to try to show the harvester operators opinion about the forestry planning that SCA provides. Hopefully will this information lead to suggestion about what part of the forestry planning needs to be improved, if any is needed? Unfortunately only 30 / 60 questionnaire has been returned so no conclusion can be made, except about those who have answered the survey. The answers of the survey indicate a number of areas that needs to be improved. The marked routes needs to be more visible and the education about timber landings must be enhanced.

Trönninge hästby

Arbetet presenterar ett förslag till en hästby i Trönninge, en tätort fem kilometer norr om Varbergs centrum. Förslaget visar hur en hästby kan se ut, vad som behöver ingå och hur man ordnar det praktiskt. Varberg ligger längs kusten i Hallands län ca 7 mil från Göteborg. I Varberg finns det idag inga hästbyar, men hästintresset i kommunen är mycket stort vilket ger ett bra underlag för en hästby. Varbergs kommun håller idag på att göra en fördjupad översiktsplan över Trönninge och har som förslag att ett av utbyggnadsområdena skall bli ett hästboende. Hästbyar är ett ganska nytt fenomen som dyker upp på många olika ställen i Sverige.

CSR & Etik: En tillämpning av normativ etik på CSR i praktiken

The neo-classical conception of the market place does not provide a framework to account for ethical or moral action. As a result, the neo-classical model is unable to explain the impact of ethical and moral issues on business sustainability present in the modern economy. To address this limitation, this thesis investigates whether theories of ethics can help explain the motivations and actions of stakeholders within the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In addition, the thesis explores whether theories of ethics are presented differently within aspects of the stakeholder model. Semi - structured interviews were conducted with various stakeholders within the CSR sector, including a NGO, a commercial firm and a CSR consultancy firm.
