This Master?s Thesis examines the subject indexing of all Swedish gay fiction published from year 2000 until 2007. This is done from a queer theoretical- and domain analytical perspective. The study is conducted in the catalogue BURKsök created by BTJ which is the largest library media company in Sweden. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the variation in the maximal discrimination of the interaction between cognate and a non-cognate codon and anti-codon (also called the d-value). The variation was analyzed with a multiple regression model with the d-value as the dependent variable and with the codon position and the different mRNA and tRNA bases as independent variables. The result of the analysis not only confirmed earlier studies that the maximal accuracy was highest in the second codon position and lowest in the third codon position but we also found significant relationships and interaction effects..

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss how agents create their culture outside of their ?own? fields.What does this way of creating a culture mean for groups already existing on the field? This master thesis aims to examine the process of indexing fiction when it comes to area of sexuality and gender identity. The empiric work that forms the basis of the thesis are three investigations:(a) examining the current status of indexing fiction within the catalogues of six Swedish medium-sized libraries;(b) interviewing librarians who allocate the subject headings; and(c) an analysis of the Swedish subject heading system Att indexera skönlitteratur.This will be concluded with an analysis of the gathered material through queer theoretic standpoint with the help of critical classification and its inclusion through separation, and marginalization where subjects that differs from the norm is included but only by being separated from the norm, or ignored totally. This will show that there are similarities with how different groups get treated within the classification systems and how they are treated in subject heading indexing. An example of this in Att indexera skönlitteratur is that heterosexuality never is mentioned in the subject heading but is always present as the silent norm, while gender identity is marginalized through exclusion of the subject heading, and related words are instead being included under sexual identity..

Syftet har varit att undersöka om det föreligger ett samband mellan socioekonomisk position och psykisk ohälsa i ålderdomen och om detta samband till någon del kan förklaras av ett samband mellan socioekonomisk position och fritidsaktiviteter. Det har för detta ändamål gjorts ordinala logistiska regressionsanalyser där utbildningens alternativt inkomstens samband med psykisk ohälsa kontrollerats för fritidsaktiviteter. Den beroende variabeln har skapats utifrån befintligt datamaterial från de representativa undersökningarna SWEOLD och LNU. Kombinationen av datamaterial från dessa två undersökningar har möjligjgjort longitudinella analyser. Studiens analyser visade att kulturella aktiviteter och ett generellt rikare fritidsliv förklarade till viss det negativa sambandet mellan utbildning och psykisk ohälsa alternativt inkomst och psykisk ohälsa..

The intention of this study is to find out how the English subject takes form and develops in the early years in school related to the curriculum, teachers, teaching material, students and parents. The methods of the survey have been classroom observations, teacher interviews, textbook analysis and a parents´ questionnaire. The findings of this study are that the knowledge of the teacher in and about the English subject can have effect on how the English subject will be presented to the students during the English lessons and the amount of the students oral production of the target language seem to depended on how much the teacher uses the target language in the classroom. The contents of the English lessons was overall structured by the curriculum. The parents and their interest in their children´s education seem to have had an impact on how much focus the English language get.

The aim of this investigation was to assess if there was a correlation between touch avoidance and hierarchical position, perceived degradation, number of years spent in jail and age amongst men at a correctional institution. In addition, a possible correlation between hierarchical position and the amount of perceived degrading treatment was also explored. Bakgrund: På intensivvårdsavdelningar finns olika rutiner kring huruvida endotrakealtubens position hos intuberade skall skiftas eller bibehållas i samma mungipa, då sidbyten kan leda till allvarliga komplikationer. Rutinen vid CIVA har varit att byta endotrakealtubens position på alla intuberade patienter en gång per dygn. Varken rutinen med skifte samt bibehållen position har utvärderats. Syftet med studien är att undersöka oralt intuberade patienters munhälsa vid bibehållen position av endotrakealtub under vårdtiden. Metod: Studien är en kvantitativ deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie.

The purpose of this study is to explore how different discourses about risk linked to HIV prevention is likely to affect the decisions on the distribution of state funding for preventive activities aimed at 'men who have sex with men' (MSM). This by making qualitative interviews with principals that have an impact on this decision. Using a discourse analytic approach, based on both theoretical and methodological foundations, I investigate the discursive constructions of risk of HIV linked to certain groups and behaviors. MSM is found in the material placed into two different formations of groups, on one hand by the behavior on the other hand on the basis of identity. The identity position is organized discursively from a ?victim? position while MSM provides an "operator" position.
