Holmen Skog is one of the largest forestry companies in Scandinavia and they depend heavily on a large network of forest roads for production and logistics in connection to their forestry operations. The company recently introduced a new system for planning of road management. The system will also be developed with the intention to facilitate the monitoring of actions performed by road contractors. This report will provide information to support future decisions regarding further development of the system, after its introduction. In addition to a presentation of results from interviews, the report also provides a smaller study of the different subjects associated with roads, process work and process development. The study is largely based on interviews with road contractors that perform work for Holmen Skog today.

The aim of our thesis was to describe how the connection between co-dependent relatives and the alcohol-dependent influences the family into changes in their teamwork.Our purpose was also to answer the following questions: How is it living with an alcoholic? Are there any differences in how men and women feel and behave in their relationship with an alcoholic? Are factors like cultural belonging, genre or social class important for how the co-dependent relatives feels and behaves and handle their co-dependency?To answer these questions we made twelve thematic qualitative interviews with six adult children to alcoholics and six people married to alcoholics. We compared the results of these interviews with earlier research. We also applied System Theory and Goffman's Role Theory, as well as Bourdieu´s Capital and Habitus concept.We believe that co-dependency is a family divergence that is very similar to family disease, but that a change in attitude can trigger recovery. According to the interviews many spouses stand by their alcoholic husbands and do actions that perpetuate the alcoholic dependence and thereby hold back any recovery.

This project aims to explore how to create a working concept-based flower shop visual identity, with focus on brandig, eco-branding and visual communication. My main question is: How do I create effective visual communication for an ecological flower shop? The results of this thesis are that there are things to consider when creating a visual identity with an ecological concept. The most important question is if there is any benefit for your company to go green, otherwise positioning of your company will be hard. What I realized during the design part of my project was that if I use the methods described in this thesis and consequently applying my choices after the flower shops identifying words, a working concept-based visual identity will be possible to create..

The purpose of this comparative study is to investigate how certified family therapeuts, with base professions psychologist and social counsellor respectively, construct boundaries through language. The study aims to demonstrate and analyse how the two professions present each other, through similarities and differences. For the purpose of definition and elucidation, the study comprises five main themes (see Appendix). The first theme is concerned with motives for choosing a professional career in family therapy. The second theme investigates conceptions of the professional role, while the third theme looks at professional practise and the implications of family therapy work.

Syftet är att undersöka på vilket sätt vägledningssamtalet bidrar till individens motivation till förändrad karriärinriktning. Utifrån syftet har följande frågeställning formulerats: Vad är det i vägledningssamtalet som bidrar till individens motivation till förändrad karriärinriktning? För att få svar på frågan har kvalitativ metod använts i form av interjuver med totalt tre respondenter. För att analysera resultatet har SCCT - Social Cognitive Career Theory samt Maslows behovspyramid använts. Resultatet visade att för samtliga intervjupersoner var det flera faktorer som bidrog till deras motivation till att förändra karriärinriktningen.

Undersökningen syftar till att belysa hur en individ i en rehabiliteringsprocess kan gynnas av karriärvägledning. Forskningsfrågorna som ställts har gällt vilket inslag av karriärvägledning som ingår i den aktuella stressrehabiliteringen, vilka behov som av karriärvägledning som finns samt vilken funktion karriärvägledning kan fylla inom en arbetslivsinriktad stressrehabiliteringsverksamhet. För undersökningen valdes en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med forskningsfrågorna som grund. Resultatet av de öppna intervjufrågorna visade att det inte gavs karriärvägledning av någon anställd person inom stressrehabiliteringen, men att det var något som önskades. Inslag av karrärvägledning gavs begränsat av Arbetsförmedlingen och resultaten visade att det fanns behov av karriärvägledning samt att vägledning kan fylla en funktion inom arbetslivsinriktad stressrehabilitering.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka hinder och möjligheter människor upplever förbundet med avancemang. Attityden undersöktes utifrån områdena arbetsrelaterade behov, kön, familj, stöd, organisation samt personlighetsdrag. Studien utfördes genom ett frågeformulär som fylldes i av 93 anställda vid ett tillverkningsföretag. Resultatet visar att arbetsrelaterade behov, stöd samt familjesituationen påverkar attityden till avancemang. Höga värden för dessa förhållanden samvarierade med hög attityd till avancemang.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie i form av sju semistrukturerade intervjuer var att undersökahur olika aktörer arbetar för att stödja sina klienter mot en positiv framtid. Avsikten var att belysa klienternas behov, hur väl dessa stämmer överens med det stöd aktörerna erbjuder samt att undersöka om detta stöd har likheter med det sätt på vilket studie- och yrkesvägledare arbetar. Resultatet visar att klienternas behov är komplexa men till stor del handlar om stöd i att skapa en bättre självbild och stöd i samverkan mellan olika instanser. Detta stämmer väl överrens med det stöd verksamheterna erbjuder. Inom samtliga verksamheter används också för studie- och yrkesvägledare `typiska´ aktiviteter.

This essay has been made on behalf of the co-operative society Mäster Grön, which is selling ornamental plants to retailers in Sweden. The aim of this study has been to find out what added value Mäster Grön gets from their co-branding with the Swedish Seal of quality. The main topic of discussion was; how much value added does this co-branding give to Mäster Gröns pot plants? Are there differences from a customer point of view in value added between a garden center and a retail store? How much weight does the costumer put on the branding when buying a plant? Does the customer know what the values of Mäster Grön and Swedish Seal of quality mean? Two questions of lesser worth were asked to the consumers about what they thought about the protective plastic around the plant, and if they were interested in getting more information about the origin as well as the method of production of the plant. The study was divided into two parts, one in which customers were observed and one where the customers answered a survey.

Syftet med min studie var att utvärdera ett första steg i ett treårigt pilotprogram i karriärvägledning på gymnasiet. Karriärvägledningen genomfördes i två klasser på Hotell- och restaurangprogrammet. Målet med karriärvägledningen var att elever i mindre grupper skulle få chansen att identifiera och formulera sina behov, intressen, egenskaper och förutsättningar för att se sin egen karriärutveckling och ta ansvar för sin karriärprocess. För att försöka få en djupare förståelse för hur faktorer som intresse av valt program, trivsel och studiemotivation påverkat elevernas karriärutveckling, intervjuades åtta elever. Som ett sammanfattande svar på min frågeställning, blir svaret att samtliga faktorer har en stor inverkan på elevernas karriärutveckling.

By studying the forms of work and methods teachers choose for their teaching on the Business and Administration Programme and by examining the experiences gained by these teachers, I hope to gain a clearer insight into how the demands of national policy/governing documents are met in the actual teaching of the courses within the programme. In my qualitative study,teachers in a team from a Business and Administrative Programme have been my informants. The team combines multiple forms of work and methods in line with the intentions of the national policy/governing documents. Students usually have an unbroken school day with block teaching where they work with case studies and interdisciplinary  work. Morals and ethics are integrated in class.

As a designer, I find myself daily being confronted with choices which eventually can be summarizedas how we experience something. What?s the function, feeling, what colors should there be, shapes,materials, etc. Different parts will be combined to create an entirety. The only question is why we areaffected so differently by the same entirety.In this project I have examined how the relationship between a space and a product affects ourperception of a coherensy and what it is that makes us experience it so differently.I wanted to find a way to methodically explore the importance of the coherency for the experience ofa product and a space in relation to each other, in order to produce a material that can form the basisfor further work on the spatial context.I?ve looked into the psycological term central coherence and formed a scale that shows the humanabilities to perceive a context in various psychological conditions.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka betydelsen av att göra prao under grundskoletiden för högskolestudenters studie och yrkesval, enligt högskolestudenterna själva. Metoden som har använts är semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer. I uppsatsen intervjuas fyra stycken studenter på en lärarutbildning i södra Sverige. Tre stycken teorier används i analysen av resultatet, learning by doing, Social cognitive career theory (SCCT) och Person ? Environment ? Correspondence Theory (P-E-C).

Emma Eriksson and Christina Henriksson: Mirror mirror on the wall: A study on how ballad texts reflect women as carriers of tradition in nineteenth century Sweden, Växjö: Musikvetenskap C, 10 p 2005.The aim of this essay is to analyze relations between ballad texts and the lives of female carriers of tradition in nineteenth century Sweden. Four carriers of tradition have been chosen, connected by being informants to Gunnar Olof Hyltén Cavallius, a collector of medieval ballads in Sweden around 1850. The four women are Anna Ehrenström (1786-1857), Catarina Andersdotter (1792-1857), Johanna Gustafva Angel (1791-1869) och Wendela Hebbe (1808-1899). Their lives are seen from a women?s historical perspective.Although there are uncertainties regarding to what extent the collected repertoire of the four women reflects their repertoire as a whole, some conclusions can be drawn regarding relations between remaining ballads and their lives as women.

AbstractBackgroundEvery company has some kind of employee turnover and we can tell that som business has higher employee turnover than other business. Employee turnover is individual for all companies but in companies that is in the same business simularities can be seen. The employee turnover in the line of business hotel, merchandise trade and restaurants was according to Confederation of Swedish Enterprise closer to 40 % during the period of 2006-2007 and close to the business with highest turnover, the service sector. This is comparable to the buildning activity that with it?s 22 % is one of the business with lowest turnover.
