In a Swedish classroom today there will be students with different ethnicities, world views and religious beliefs.  The students will be taught religion through a non-denominational education, where as a teacher you are meant to be objective, open-minded and fair in the representation of different traditions. This representation is colored by the outsider-perspective and the students then learn about religion from a party which is not involved in the religion being taught. This essay discusses how to balance the outsider-perspective in religious education in the Swedish school with insider-voices. More specific, the use of Muslim websites when teaching about Islam.The material this essay studies are three Muslim websites: al-islam.se, islaminfo.se and islamguiden.se. In order to make a didactic analysis of the websites, they are compared to a standard Swedish textbook.

Background and Problem: Human Resources are considered one of the most important assets when competing with other companies. There are a lot of studies made in general on the subject while studies considering a specific context are missing. To consider the context when adapting a HR-strategy is interesting as the structure of the organization and the environment affects both the organization and the individuals within it. To study how the controversial context affects an organization is particularly interesting as the context is subject for discussion in the society.Aim: The study's purpose is to investigate how Human Resources are handled in a controversial business and to identify success factors when adapting the strategy to the controversial context.Methodology: The study started out by collecting theories connected to the subject with Fombrun, Devanna & Tichys HR-cycle. Interview questions where made based on the theories and answered by three of the case company's employees, whom all are well familiar with the case company's HR-strategy.Conclusion: We have come to the conclusion that there are no remarkable differences when handling Human Resources in a controversial context then in earlier published theories.

The aim of this masters thesis is to analyze how subjects of ethnographical objects should be described. To obtain this we focus on which subject aspects of ethnographical objects that could be possible and valuable to analyze and to index. This is done with the help of established LIS subject indexing theories, and through the perspective of ethnographical museum documentation. The theories are both general, concerning the stages of subject indexing, and more specific, regarding the indexing of pictures. One of the latter is the theoretical model of Sara Shatford, from the article Analyzing the Subject of a Picture.

The aim of this essay is to study how the Sami are presented in four textbooks about religion and history that are used in the schools of the majority culture of Sweden today and one book of ideas asto how a textbook could look like from a Sami's perspective. Its aim is not only to study how the Sami are presented but also to discuss how students who read these books could interpret what it means to be a Sami and what their culture is about. It is also meant to discuss how the Sami identitycould be formed. In order to be able to discuss this the essay uses three different kinds of theories about identity and culture. The analysis showed that there is little information about Sami culture, identity, religion and historypresented in the four textbooks used in schools of the majority culture and that these books seem to want students to think that the Sami are troublemakers but are and should be assimilated into the majority culture..

Syftet med mitt arbete var att öka min förståelse för hur barn tänker kring kunskapsbegreppet generellt samt specifikt inom historia och religion.Jag läste litteratur i ämnet för att ge en bakgrund till hur forskningen sett och ser på kunskap och inlärning. Martons m.fl. "Inlärning och omvärldsuppfattning" samt Pramlings "Barn och inlärning" har varit till stor hjälp. En viktig del i arbetet har även Pramlings metodbok för barnintervjuer haft. Jag har intervjuat åtta barn i en årskurs fyra om vad de uppfattat att de lärt sig generellt och specifikt på lågstadiet och jag har via enkät bett fyra lågstadielärare svara på frågor om vad de tar upp inom ämnena historia och religion samt vilka mål de har med sin undervisning däri.Med detta material som grund fann jag att det i denna grupp fanns en tydlig tendens att det som barnen i första hand uppfattar som kunskap var det som vi betecknar som grundläggande färdigheter inom matematik och svenska.

This essay deals with how the development of society, the media society in particular, has an impact on the teaching of the subject of art. In the society of today, we are bombarded with more images than ever before. As an effect of this, the curriculum of 2011 emphasises the importance of the ability to orientate oneself in the modern society. Furthermore, it describes art not only as a practical subject, but also as a verbal and community-orientated subject. Because of sparse and dated research, the subject of art is in danger of marginalization as a school subject. The purpose of this study is to illustrate art teachers? conception of the aim of the subject of art.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera hur utvalda läroböcker i engelska för grundskolan uppfyller läroplanens krav på jämställdhet och likabehandling samt hur förekomsten är av respektive kön, av människor med olika utländsk bakgrund, sexuell läggning, religion eller med funktionshinder. För att undersöka detta utfördes en kvantitativ granskning av fyra läroböcker i engelska för år 9, där såväl bild som text granskades. Resultatet visar att den värdegrund som skolan ska förmedla enligt gällande styrdokument inte kommer att förmedlas enbart genom läromedlen. Religion, sexuell läggning eller funktionshinder omnämns knappast överhuvudtaget och det finns en tydligt manlig dominans i illustrationer och bilder..

Beyond the binary borders of sex -A LITTERATURE STUDY ABOUT TRANSGENDER THEORY AND ITS POSSIBLE CONTRIBUTION TO A SOCIAL WORK CONTEXT. GERGANA TOSEVA KARIN SELIN A thesis in Social work studies (15 credits) at Malmö University, Hälsa och Samhälle 2012. The discussion about sex and gender is always prominent in a social work context. Our purpose and questions are hence based on the discussion on transgender theory and the way of thinking about the non-binary, and how it relates to the nearby theories. The method of the essay consists of a semi systematic literature overview with the focus on discussing transgender theory in relation to other theories and perspectives, such as modernism, post modernism, feminism and queer theory. We answer the following questions: 1. Is it possible to go beyond or exceed the binary of sex and if so, how do we see it in the material we examined? 2. In what way are the existing theories of sex / gender in the binary? 3. Can one featuring a female embodied subject be of assistance to transgender people's search for an embodied subject? We consider it possible to move beyond the binary by using ?fuzzy logic?(Nagoshi & Brzuzy 2010, Tauchert 2002) which is a way of staying in the binary but expanding the term and work in the grey areas instead.

The aim of the subject is to develop the students? knowledge about music theory concepts in order to help them play and create music on their own. The aim of this paper is to discuss how students talk about ear training and music theory. Qualitative group interviews were carried out with two student groups from the first and second year of the upper secondary school.

Jag har i min undersökning av vetenskap och humanism som livsåskådning genomfört en läromedelsgranskning. I Sverige finns det inte en myndighet som granskar läromedel vilket gjort min undersökning relevant då jag jämför forskning kring vetenskap och humanism och ställer det mot innehållet i läromedel.Frågeställningar i min undersökning är: Hur presenteras humanism som livsåskådning i läromedel i religionsämnet för gymnasiet? Hur presenteras vetenskap i relation till religion i läromedel i religionsämnet för gymnasiet?Jag grundar min undersökning på fyra delar i min bakgrund, det är hur livsåskådning definieras.

The purpose of this project is to examine the development of the upper secondary school physics course and from this get a better understanding why the course is organized the way it is today. The Barbie doll is an icon filled with meanings; this thesis discusses the Barbie doll and herfeministic potentials and subject positions using a discourse analysis. The thesis analyzeswhat sort of femininity Barbie portraits in magazines, web series and films about her.Theories being used originate mainly from gender and queer studies, where the focus is on theperformative constructions of gender and femininity. Since the material mostly consists ofmoving images some influence is taken from feminist film theorists and semiotic theory,which focuses on signs and their meaning. The thesis centres around the questions: how isBarbie?s femininity challenged, strengthened and constructed in different types of mediaabout her produced by Mattel? And is there any feminist potential in Barbie?s subjectpositions in these media forms?.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to compare classification codes and feature headings of three different universal classification schemes SAB, UDC and DDC, when classifying archaeological literature. The aim is to determine whether a subject analysis of a title generates similar feature headings in the three systems, and to find positive and negative things about each system from an archaeological point of view. The comparison and the analysis of the 22 chosen archaeological monographs showed that the subject analysis of the titles didnt always generate similar feature headings. This could depend on several things, for example different interpretations of the subject analysis of a document, less knowledge about the system and/or the subject, or the fact that its not the same classifier that creates the codes. The study also showed that the different classification systems did treat the subject archaeology a bit differently, and that its difficult to say that one of them is better for classifying archaeological literature.

Vad är andlighet? Många av oss blandar ihop andligheten med religion, men det är viktigt att skilja på andlighet och religion. Religion är något som vi får lära oss från andra medan andlighet är någonting vi finner djupt inom oss själva.Andlighet hos en människa är ett bejakande av själen. Andlighet är ett uttryck för den del av oss människor som inte har någon fysisk form. I mitt arbete behandlar jag temat andlighet utifrån en personlig utgångspunkt där jag, som människa mellan andligt och jordligt, hyllar min plats i den sistnämnda. För mig är ofta den fysiska och materiella upplevelsen en förutsättning för just den andliga upplevelsen. Ingen utesluter den andra men för mig är perspektivet på andlighet omvänt. En av uppgifterna i mitt magisterarbete blev således att lyckas förmedla andlighet genom just en materiell skapelse. Jag blev tvungen att ställa mig frågor om detta överhuvudtaget är möjligt? Andlighet är ju på många sätt motsatsen till att bli materialiserad..
