Gymnasieelevers informationskompetens : En studie i sju klasser i gymnasiets år 3
This master's thesis examines information literacy and Students in secondary education. The study is framed within a sociocultural perspective of learning and the method used is questionnaires. The major question posed is how and where Students seek information. Other questions are if the Students critically evaluate and analyse information sources and if teachers and school librarians cooperate with each other in order to help the Students with their assignments. The findings indicate that most Students regard information seeking as fact-finding or finding the right answers to the question. Only one third of Students experienced information seeking as seeking and using information for understanding a topic.
Casemetodik och geografi : En studie av elevers och lärares syn på casemetodik i geografiundervisningen
The case method is a relatively new pedagogical method in Sweden that is based on Students exercising their skills in the analysis of complex situations and problems that are based in reality and that help Students to see a broader perspective and context. The purpose of this study has been to investigate, through interviews with Students and teachers, the advantages and disadvantages of the case method in teaching geography. The results of the study show that both teachers and Students share almost the same opinion. The conclusion is that the case method is a didactic method that is well suited for teaching geography, as it is based on reality and develops the Students? ability to analyze, argue and find solutions in several areas within the subject of geography. If a student is strong in these skill areas they can really benefit from the application of the case method in the teaching of geography, but for Students who are weaker in these skills, the case method can be a disadvantage.

?Vissa kan man lita på mer än andra? . En studie i gymnasieelevers källkritiska bedömningar
The main purpose of this master thesis is to examine how high school Students think when they independently are evaluating information for a school assignment. We examine what types of sources they use, and what their reasons are. Besides that we also examine what sorts of criteria they use when evaluating if a source is usable, and if there are any other factors that can have an influence for their choice of material. We have done a qualitative study with 23 Students, where the Students wrote down their answers in a questionnaire containing wide open questions. We have created our own tool for analysing the material by extracting the most general things in our chapter of earlier research, concerning the three questions which our study is based on.

Att undervisa elever med ADHD i idrott och hälsa
AbstractWorking with Students who have ADHD are today common in Swedish schools. Approximately 2-3 Students per class have been diagnosed with ADHD and require greater demands on their teachers. The pupils have to be included and get the opportunities to develop in the way that suits the Students best. The pupils themselves should not have to adapt to the school, it is the school that has to adapt to the pupils. The purpose of this paper is to examine how PE teachers work with Students who have ADHD as they need to have adults around them that have insights on their special needs.

Students who participated in the study were in grades 3-6 and were between 9 and 13 years old. I asked Students 13 questions, which dealt with verbal abuse, some of them were check questions and some were issues that required a longer response. The results of the survey show that 108 Students of 153 have ever felt verbally abused at school, slightly more girls than boys. Usually they say they have been verbally abused by their own sex and then with words like boys are more frequently offended by words of a sexual nature, whereas girls more often are offended by words that violate their appearance. The Students who feel aggrieved are shown to be those Students who violate others.

För pengarna eller framtiden? : En kvalitativ studie av hur elever förhåller sig till studiemedel
This paper investigates how Swedish upper secondary school Students relate to the financial support available from the Swedish state of education. It also looks at the attitudes of such Students to the new CSN[1]truancy rules as they apply to school politics. Is there a difference in Students? attitude to these truancy rules and does that difference depend on the Students? socio-economic standard, whether they come from a wealthy background or a marginalised society or whether they are ethnic Swedish? Does this in any way affect the attitudes of the Students? This financial support is only paid to those Students who do not skip school. If they lose their right to this contribution because of truancy, their parents will also forfeit the right to the financial subsidies to which they may be entitled. Naturally, this may affect Students in different ways, depending on what kind of financial situation their family is in.Do some Students go to school out of their own financial interest or out of that of their parents? Through focus-group interviews, Students have expressed their opinions, told about their experiences and stated their attitudes with regards to these matters.
EU-information : Studenters behov och sökning, EU:s informationsresurser
The aim of this master thesis was to examine the European Commission's information resources from a user perspective in order to clarify the needs and circumstances of the search of EU-information among Students at Örebro University. 41 Students participated in a survey, and four of them was interviewed. On the basis of Pendelton- and Chatmans theories of information behaviour in small worlds, it were assumed that the Students' education and citizenship in the European Union affected their needs and the search of EU information. The study showed that the Students needs for EU-related information has increased, with the current education, but also been linked to earlier educations. The Students Citizens need were mainly associated with elections such as the EMU-election, but also in some cases to a need of the general knowledge.A review of the European Commission's information resources were made with an emphasis on European Documentation Centre, EDC. The survey showed that most Students used the EDC and the EU-databases that was made available by the European Commission through the EDC and the university library but were not aware that they used EDC.The survey also showed that Students made use of familiar sources and resources when they searched the EU-information, such as the library's regular database list, the library catalogue and search engine on the internet are not requested of other resources.

Vad påverkar medieteknikstudenternas kursval?
With many different elective courses to choose between, a lot of Students experience anxiety over deciding which courses to study next semester. The choice of a specific course can have a big impact on the Students future studies and/or employment. Therefore the anxiety is justified. At the same time the number of Students applying for a course often vary from year to year. This creates issues for the responsible teachers because of the ever-changing resource requirements. There are several different theories on decision making, addressing the different time related states as well as the different habitual styles.
