The purpose of the study is to investigate the communication between exchange Students and their host student trough Facebook. The study shows the importance of social cues and self-disclosure to maintain a relationship. The Students? everyday use of Facebook helps them to remain connected to their social life locally and create new friendships. Cultural differences were shown in the way the Students formed their expressions trough their messages to each other.

According to the core contents in the curriculum for the compulsory school 2011 for the subject Physical Education grades 7-9, teachers of the subjects shall give their Students knowledge about body ideals within sports, and the society as a whole. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the attitude toward body ideals of the Students soon to leave secondary school. The study was based on a quantitative survey with 70 participating Students from three different schools. The results show that the schools, according to the Students, do not inform the Students about body ideals. However, the result shows that the Students consider body ideals as an important topic that needs to be dealt with in school, since they consider the adolescences of today are living with a pressure telling them what to look like.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the group constellation that is, what thoughts, feelings and sensations that arise when Students and pupils change groups. The study will also affect Students and pupils knowledge of why they should work in groups. Their perceived security will also be something that this study is looking for.The main questions of this study are:How does Students and pupils experience the phenomenon of "group replacement"?What is considered to work or not work in the new group formations?The method that is used in this study is based on six qualitative interviews with Students and pupils from three different levels of education. The target groups are college and high school Students.

In this qualitative study of Students? methods of calculating subtractions, I have used interviews, subtraction exercises and analysis of teaching material. The purpose of my study was to explore which methods Students in grade three uses when calculating subtractions. I also wanted to highlight which strategies the Students use and their comprehension of the concept of subtraction. In the study, I also highlight the different pedagogical ideas on which the teaching material is based on and the Students? choice of methods.  The study shows that the Students choose to use the methods?deduct? and ?kind of number? independently.

This study has emerged from a growing interest in Students' sleeping habits. During practical training as teachers, we have noticed a discussion of Students' sleeping habits, fatigue and student performance at school in relation to their sleeping habits. The purpose of this field survey was to examine Students? sleeping habits and self-perceived performance ability in school in relation to sleeping habits. The material was collected from a questionnaire that was answered by 200 Students in 4-6th grade and 188 Students in 1-2th grade in the upper secondary school, this to give an opportunity to see if there were any differences between the different age groups.

AimThe overall aim of this study has been to gain knowledge about what characterize upper secondary school Students participating in the subject course physical education and health (PEH). To investigate this, the following questions are formulated:What motivates the Students to attend PEH?How do the Students experience teaching?What influences the Students' opinions of the subject?MethodWe conducted a qualitative study using interview as method. Six Students, from year 2; three girls and three boys, from different studying programs at an upper secondary school in the region of Mälardalen were interviewed. The Students had been recommended and asked to participate by their teachers in PEH.

The purpose of the study was to examine how teachers currently working with Students who have a mother tongue other than Swedish. The investigation has been carried out using three qualitative research interviews. It has been shown that some educators believe that inclusion in the regular classroom instruction has been giving the best results for Students' language development. It has provided great opportunities for discussion and group work. Teachers have given tips on how to work with these Students so that they develop in the Swedish language.

This work examines the Students´ thoughts on climate change with a focus on carbondioxid through photosynthesis and the carbon emissions from cars. The study is based on two subject areas, one with a focus on enhanced greenhouse effect, and the other focusing on photosythesis. The survey was conducted by means of qualitative interviews with Students in grades four and six. The results describe that student´s understanding for photosynthesis and the carbondioxids function for photosynthesis doesn´t change significantly from grade four to grade six. I have divided the Students inte three levels based on their understandingof the various fields, and their use of adequate concepts.

ABSTRACTMusic and differences in knowledge ? a study of music teachers experiences with differences in musical knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to, out of a music teacher?s perspective, see if the differences in music abilities between 7th grade Students are at all, or in some ways connected to the previous schools they?ve attended. I will also research in what areas, in the subject of music, Students are differing more, as well as less, in their knowledge. The analysis is based on interviews with six 7th grade music teachers working in the Swedish nine-year compulsory school system.

The aim of this study is to examine which strategies three 18-year-old string Students (one violinist and two cellists) use when they practice on their own. The empirical data for the study come from six observations of the Students? practicing on certain pieces that were handed out to them. During the observations, the Students filmed themselves, and no one else was present in the room during the practicing sessions. The observations were later transcribed and analyzed, which means that its contents were compared and contrasted to results of previous research in the field of practicing.The results of this study show that all three participants first tried to gain an overview of the piece by playing it through from beginning to end.

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the experience of art Students and their attitudes and use of information during the last years of their Master?s degree. I also examine their opinions about the art education in general. The theoretical framework encompasses a sociocultural approach within the field of psychology-pedagogy and library- as well as information science. The empirical material has been collected through qualitative interviews with seven Students studying at an art school in Sweden.

The purpose of this study is to explore Students? perceptions and experiences of the school-subject Swedish. Ten qualitative interviews with Students in school year nine have been carried out and the results of these interviews constitute the basis of this study. The result shows that Students have a straight-forward attitude towards Swedish as a school-subject. The Students identify skills such as reading, writing and speaking, and work in school mainly concerns perfecting these skills. The Students think of Swedish as a subject with a clear purpose and find it important and useful. The result also shows that the Students want grading for the purpose of further motivation.

Global warming is one of the most debated environmental issues right now, and it could be argued that it is important to study how the phenomenon is treated in schools. The main purpose of this study is to put Students? knowledge about global warming in relation with the control documents for chemistry, biology and physics studies. Interviews have been conducted with six Students in the 9th grade. The conclusion of the survey indicates that the Students generally have a satisfying knowledge about the phenomenon and that they know how they should behave from an environmental perspective..
