Title: "It is logical, but not logical at all compared to every other logical thing." - A study about how Students in upper secondary school reflect about their studies in Pitch and music theory.Pitch and music theory is a compulsory subject for music Students in the art programme of upper secondary school of Sweden. The aim of the subject is to develop the Students? knowledge about music theory concepts in order to help them play and create music on their own. The aim of this paper is to discuss how Students talk about ear training and music theory. Qualitative group interviews were carried out with two Student groups from the first and second year of the upper secondary school.

It is important that the language in textbooks for foreign language learners reflects the language that the learners would encounter in real life. For this reason, the presence of the thousand most common nouns in two Swedish textbooks in Spanish for upper secondary school is observed in this study. Furthermore, this study aims to examine how these nouns occur in order to determine if their pattern of occurence favours the learning and consolidation of words. The main materials that have been used are A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish by Davies (2006) and the word search program available in the digital versions of the textbooks. The results show that the presence of the thousand most common Spanish nouns does reflect the frequency information presented in the frequency dictionary but not all thousand nouns are included.

An increasing number of Students leave the Swedish compulsory school without having a satisfactory grade in mathematics. Causes why Students risk ending up with difficulties in the subject of mathematics are debated but one explanation might be that more and more Students are diagnosed with dyscalculia. The purpose of this study is to investigate how educationalists identify and organize their teaching in order to help Students with difficulties in mathematics to reach the schools requirement and long-term goals that are defined in advance. It is vital to detect learning difficulties at an early stage. Accordingly, it can be avoided that the Student starts to develop a negative self-image due to repeated failures and in the same time provide relevant help.

The purpose of this study is to gain additional knowledge and a greater understanding of pupils experiences of joining a special teaching group.  The study focuses on pupils with special needs and the ambition has been to get a Student perspective of how they perceive their education with special support. In addition, the study is concerned with how pupils perceive their special support and whether this has any relevance to their learning, development and future goals.This study is based on Urie Bronfenbrenners theory The ecology of human development. The theoretical perspective highlights the interaction between the pupils and the school environment, which is important for development and learning. The study is based on a qualitative research method in the form of interviews.

BACKGROUND: Mental disorders amongst Students, has increased, and foremost amongst girls. One way to regulate their emotions, is by deliberate self-harm. Due to their profession, school nurses have the ability to detect self-harm amongst Students, and can therefor give them a good professional support. AIM: The aim of this study is to describe the school nurse's experience of deliberate self-harm amongst Students. METHOD: The study is based on thirteen interviews with school nurses, via e-mail.

The school can be seen as a place that reflects the wider community. Here is a school welfare officer an important representative of the school social work. The main subject of our study is to clarify how the school welfare officers? talk about documentation in the individual meeting with the pupil. Through individual interviews with five school welfare officers in elementary schools in three municipalities in the southern part ofSweden, we have attempted to explore these main research question.In addition to qualitative interviews we have accomplished a survey study that included 178 school welfare officers throughout the country.The result of our two studies demonstrates the school welfare officers? free work where the choice to document or not is wide.

Bakgrund: Varje år examineras över 4000 sjuksköterskor i Sverige. De blivande sjuksköterskorna beskriver rädsla och stress relaterat till den kommande yrkesrollen, men känner sig ändå redo för yrkeslivet. Syfte: Att beskriva nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser under första året som yrkesverksamma. Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie utförd på ett systematiskt sätt. Resultatet bygger på en manifest innehållsanalys baserat på tjugo vetenskapliga artiklar samt två doktorsavhandlingar.

This essay is dealing with the question of the possibility for a non archaeologist to learn something about the Scandinavian Bronze Age by reading novels taking place in the specific period. I have studied novels written by Scandinavian writers between 1980 and present. Before I started I constructed nine different categories that I was to look for in the novels. The categories were constructed in the aim to get as a complete picture as possible of the Bronze Age society. The results were then compared to archaeological evident and theories and discussed in terms of this connection.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the social integration amongst newly arrived Students in the two different school systems Sweden welcomes them into. The first school system takes in newly arrived Students into preparation classes whilst the other integrates the Students directly into ordinary classrooms. The examination is based on qualitative observations in the classroom, canteen, and playground, and interviews with teachers and a select few Students from each school system.The result of the study showed that newly arrived Students in ordinary classes are socially integrated more into the school than the newly arrived Students that are welcomed into a preparation class. Newly arrived Students are offered a larger chance of being integrated into the school environment if they are introduced directly into an ordinary class. In preparation classes, social integration is narrowed down to between the classmates.

Målet med denna studie är att undersöka hur matematiskt särbegåvade elever upplever sin matematikundervisning i skolan. För att uppnå studiens syfte har ett antal preciserade frågeställningar utarbetats, och som också har legat till grund för studiens empiriska undersökning. Frågeställningarna har hanterat såväl elevernas som deras föräldrars subjektiva upplevelser av barnens matematiska begåvning, hur den matematiska undervisningen för dessa barn ser ut samt hur föräldrarna upplever att skolan stimulerar och uppmuntrar särbegåvade barn. Examensarbetets metodologiska tillvägagångssätt har baserats på en kvalitativ undersökning där materialet har baserat på sex elever med matematisk särbegåvning och deras lärare. Dessa har intervjuats.

Abstract (in English) The report clarifies how the economy of Värnamo and Tingsryd area experiencing and implementing APL, it also reveals their need for jacking from the school to improve Students achievement.By highlighting some of the requirements, expectations, obligations and rights as schools, businesses and Students have between each other can enhance our understanding of each other's activities. With increased understanding of each other's needs, function and values can be a more seamless cooperation take place which can increase the efficiency, usefulness and effectiveness of APL and apprenticeship.The investigation of the report includes a survey of 25 questions that companies involved in APL answers and interviews by two well-designate individuals in the subject, Jonas Olofsson, who among other things, wrote the book "Krisen i skolan" and Annika Jervgren is research assistant in the National Apprentice Committee.The supervisor's actions during the APL are addressed and they are critical to Student achievement and how the profession is perceived. It is also evident that there is a desire for increased communication between schools and businesses and that practice is governed by established documented procedures to make the workplace time will be as constructive as possible for the Students..

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka och beskriva sjuksköterskors uppfattning om  omvårdnadshandledning av sjuksköterskeStudenter. Fokusgruppsintervjuer valdes som metod. Nitton sjuksköterskor deltog i intervjuerna. Materialet bearbetades.

The issue of honour related problems in schools are important social problems in Sweden. It?s not unusual that honour related problem has had serious consequences before any action has been inserted by society. Sometimes the efforts made by society have had no impact whatsoever due to them being inserted too late. We can conclude based on our literature and our interviews, the importance of prevention.

Projects to equip every Student and teacher with a laptop, with the intention to improve academic results, have rapidly spread through the country. New technology, new contents and new ways of learning have changed the learning envi-ronment. The school library, being a part of this environ-ment, faces the same changes and challenges.The purpose of this thesis is to study how the school library is being affected when a One-to-One project is carried out in a learning environment. The research questions concern how the school library is viewed within the organization and also how the change affects both the school library and the school librarian.The empirical material of the thesis includes five qualitative interviews carried out on location, at a single selected school. The interviews are followed by a study of relevant documents, all produced within the organization.To understand the organization in which the school library operates, as well as the school library itself, I chose to divide the theoretical approach in two: Christensen?s et al.

The school is under constant change and school reform on the conveyor belt. In 2009 the Swedish government introduced new directives for the elementaryschool, including multi-national sample, written testimonials from grade one and grade with several grades rose from grade six. The purpose of this study is to examine currently active primary teacher perceptions of the pupils' learning and development might be affected by those earlier and clearer knowledge assessments, and how teachers perceive this reform on the basis of the Swedish school's motto "a school for all". The study was carried out with a phenomenological approach where the method has been depth interviews with five active primary teachers from grades one to six in a school. The results show that teachers perceive that the earlier and clearer assessments will affect Students differently according to Student performance and knowledge.
