Hur tänker elever? : Elevintervjuer som metod för att kartlägga elevers tankar kring matematikundervisning
During my time as a Student of education I have learnt that it is my responsibility, as a teacher, to adjust the ways in which I teach to the needs, abilities, experiences, and thoughts of each individual child. What I have not yet gained much knowledge on is how to go about finding the children?s thoughts.In this thesis I investigate the interview as a method of finding out how sixth graders think about their mathematics education. Four children were interviewed. In addition to these inter-views, as a means of giving a broader perspective to and a greater understanding of the chil-dren?s answers, one math lesson was filmed and the math teacher was interview on two sepa-rate occasions.What I found was that a number of factors seemed to influence the children?s thoughts and answers, and that their answers were most likely not always a mirror of their thoughts.
Undervisning om miljöproblem i Cradock - Sydafrika
The purpose of this paper is to investigate some aspects of teaching environmental issues, as they are manifested in another culture. In this paper, I will discuss how you teach environmental issues, how the teaching environment is formed, and what an environmental issue means to a South African teacher, as well as, if there are any cultural aspects to what an environmental issue is. Seven observations were made and qualitative interviews with four teachers teaching Life Science in Cradock, South Africa - The results showed that these South African teachers, independent from each other, followed a similar pattern in their teachings. These patterns contain gathering information concerning environmental issues in the immediate surroundings, as well as using the text book and teaching environmental issues through lectures. It was not possible to draw a conclusion about the cultural aspects in association to environmental issues.
Hur påverkas högstadielevers studier av klass och kön? : Skolprestation, studieval och attityder till skolan i en kommun belägen i Norrlands inland
How do gender and socioeconomic backgrounds affect Students? academic performance, educational choices and attitudes towards education? Moreover, does class play the same role for girls and boys? In order to find this out, I surveyed Students in a small province located in the northern inlands of Sweden. The survey was answered by nearly every Student in the ninth grade of that year, a total of 160 people. The results revealed that girls in this area have less faith in their capabilities than boys, despite getting much better grades. Many more girls than boys want to go onto college or university studies.
Kurs i projektarbete : Elevsyn på kursen och mina egna tankar om ett alternativ
This study has been performed at a smaller high school and with its industry Students, the high school is located in a small industrial community. The purpose of my study has been to find out what Students think about their work with the project work, what they think has been positive and negative, how their motivation is influenced by the work on the project and if the work has been affected by factors outside the school world.The interviews have been carried out like normal conversation with open questions. The Students who participated in the study comes from the school where I did my internship. The selection was done by asking all Students from a specific course, those who were positive to participate are also the ones I have chosen to interview. My main study results, in summary, described as the Students, once they were inside their work were positive to the project work and felt motivated in their work. Negative experiences, for the Students which attend a practical program, has mainly been economic, as the school does not provide any financial support.
From industrial past to sustainable future : Arboretum Lövholmen; generating trees for a greener future
Old industrial sites bear witness of the unsustainable industrial developments in the past. Today many of them stand abandoned and empty, old structures lacking function in our present society.
We have in this thesis participated in a visionary Student competition arranged by IFLA, International Federation of Landscape Architecture by developing a proposal based on a vision of how Stockholm can stimulate a greener development. We have done this by turning an unsustainable industrial site in the city into an ecological node; Arboretum Lövholmen.
Our aim is to develop an entry for IFLA?s visionary Student competition by creating a new sustainable design for the industrial area of Lövholmen in Stockholm. We have worked with the following research questions: How can we create a visionary design proposal for Lövholmen that promotes sustainable development with the help of ecological design? How can the competition format be a design tool? How can the working process developing a competition entry progress?
The competition demands have shaped our working process and functioned as a platform for the structure of this thesis.

Körkortsboken is used as the major textbook in the theoretical part of the education necessary to obtain a drivers? license in Sweden. Most people in Sweden obtain a drivers? license, sooner or later.

The aim of the present study is to describe the experiences of high school Students as regards the effects of their activities, in and out of lessons, being published on the web. In addition, a further purpose is to acquire knowledge about whether a website could be used as means of increasing the Students level of attention, and focus, to their activities in school; and, furthermore, how such a website should be designed to correspond with the Students requests.The implemented methods are interviews with Students, school administrators and teachers. A survey was conducted covering the Student?s personal experiences and opinions. Furthermore, an interface test of the website was performed.

Title: Eurythmics, and building boats -A study in tacit knowledge.The education of eurhythmics at Malmö Academy of Music, is a program where a major part of the tutoring is oral; very little written information about the method is used. This essay will examine the forms in which the current knowledge base exists, as well as the methods in which this information is transmitted from teacher to Student, and in which form the knowledge about the method of eurhythmics is existing. The tools for analysis are the theories on tacit knowledge. Interviews and written surveys are used as qualitative research methods. The content of these interviews and surveys are presented in the results chapter.
Lämpligheten bland studenter påpolisutbildningen.
Syftet med denna rapport är att undersöka hur Studenter och lärare påpolisutbildningen i Umeå ser på möjligheten att bedöma lämpligheten hosde studerande, och även hur detta skulle kunna gå till enligt ett förslag somvi har tagit fram. Rapporten tar också upp hur antagningsprocessen går tilloch de krav som ställs hos de sökande samt hur polisutbildningen i Umeå ärupplagd med de olika momenten inom utbildningen. Vidare har vi tagit uppvad det krävs för att man som Student ska få en varning respektive ska bliavskiljd från utbildningen samt väldigt kort tagit upp vad som gäller vidbedömningen under aspiranttiden. I övrigt består rapporten av ett förslagsom vi tagit fram för hur en bedömning avseende lämplighet kan gå till. Vihar via en intervju med en polislärare undersökt om det finns ett behov ochett intresse av vårt förslag, samt genom ett frågeformulär till Studenterna itermin fyra vid polisutbildningen i Umeå tagit reda på deras uppfattningkring frågor om lämplighet..
Idag student, imorgon arbetslös? : Högskolestudenters oro inför eventuell arbetslöshet efter studier
Andelen individer med eftergymnasial utbildning ökar på arbetsmarknaden samtidigt som antalet arbetstillfällen inom vissa akademiska yrken inte ökar i samma takt. Denna studie syftade till att undersöka om förekomsten av oro bland högskoleStudenter inför eventuell arbetslöshet hade något samband med självkänsla och kontrollupplevelse. Studien avsåg även att undersöka huruvida tidpunkt för avslutad utbildning och utbildningsinriktning hade någon betydelse för Studenternas nivå av oro. En enkätundersökning med 101 deltagare mellan 19 och 59 år genomfördes. Resultatet visade att det fanns en signifikant skillnad i orosnivån mellan Studenter när det gällde hur lång tid de hade kvar på sin utbildning.

The aim of this paper is to examine why Swedish teachers and multilingual secondary school pupils think it is important to read fiction, how Swedish teachers work with fiction in the multicultural classroom and how they motivate their multilingual pupils to read more by adapting fiction to their capabilities and experiences. We have done interviews with four Swedish teachers and 12 multilingual pupils. The following questions are the starting point of this essay:Why do Swedish teachers and multilingual pupils think that it is important to read fiction? ?How can the Swedish teachers in the multicultural classroom motivate their multilingual pupils to read more fiction?The result of this paper showed that both the Swedish teachers and the multilingual pupils thought it was important to read fiction because it partly gives themselves the opportunity to acquaint with other cultures and it helps them to improve their language. The teachers motivate their multilingual pupils by reading out loud, reading in groups and by minimizing language difficulties that may occur in the fiction.
Stöd i undervisningen på högstadiet : En aktionsstudie som ska klargöra en elevgrupps perspektiv
The aim of thesis was to, through a action research study and through individual interviews with five Students, clarify their perspective on educational assistance in high school. The study shows that Students prefer teaching in small groups outside of regular whole class because it gives the them access to the factors they consider crucial for a functioning support-time whit a skilled and dedicated teatcher, in a calm and safe environment. Moreover, the Students claim the importance of technical equipment especially in the Swedish subject, but also in other subjects. Today the educational assistance varies from an outside-the-class teaching situation to a whole-class situation with teacher support as well as technicaal equipment. When the Student were asked to describe the cinditions under which studies can be conducted with the whole class they tried to imitate the learning environment they have in a small group.
Inlärningsstilar : Learning styles - the unique way each student learns new information
Syftet med vår uppsats har varit att undersöka och belysa hur pedagoger definierar inlärningsstil och vilka olika undervisningsstilar de använder för att möta elevers olika behov. Vår undersökning är kvalitativ och grundar sig på 5 observationer i olika åldersgrupper samt 5 intervjuer med respektive pedagog i en lärstilsinriktad skola. Studien visar att de lärare som grundar sin pedagogik på forskning och känner trygghet i sin pedagogroll individanpassar undervisningen mer. De varierar sig och tar mer hänsyn till elevers taktila och kinestetiska preferenser samt de miljömässiga och sociologiska elementen än de pedagoger som utgår från mer traditionell undervisningsstil och visuella och auditiva preferenser. Lärstilspedagogiken underlättar att hitta metoder till varje elev, vilket ökar motivation, arbetsglädje och självkänsla.

The goal of this study is to examine what five teacher?s impression of the teacher?s role is in their previous years. How important the ?joy at work? is in relation with the educational progress? And what aspects that contributes to the? joy at work? and what obstacles that stops them. The essay will also go through the concepts of a teacher role, with connection to the theoretical perspectives of Csikszentmihalyi?s Flow and Antonovsky?s Salutogenesis (KASAM).The method I used was interviewing five teachers and I used Larsen?s chapter of ?content analysis? as a basis, I also used Flow and KASAM as theoretical references in my analysis.
