The purpose of this essay is to perform a comparative study of first a pedagogical/rhetorical and then a therapeutic method, to help students overcome their speech anxiety. My choice stayed at focusing on the academic world and the benefits offered to mainly students. I have chosen two institutions with long experience of work with speech anxiety: Instutionen of Swedish, rhetoric and journalism at Södertörns Högskola and Student Health at Uppsala University. I want to find the advantages and disadvantages of the two universities and in no way define what is more favorable..

Syftet med detta kandidatarbete är att beskriva den befolkningsutveckling som pågår i Sveriges gles- och landsbygder samt att sammanställa metoder från forskning och beprövad erfarenhet som används för att motverka en negativ befolkningsutveckling. Den generella befolkningsutvecklingen i Sverige speglas sedan i Rävemåla, som är en tätortsnära landsbygdsort i Tingsryd kommun, för att undersöka om orten har följt samma bana som befolkningsutvecklingen gjort i Sverige och vilka metoder som används och kan användas för att försöka nå en positiv utveckling. Tingsryds kommun och Rävemåla tätort lider båda av en negativ befolkningsutveckling och en åldrande befolkning. Den mest använda metoden för att nå en positiv utveckling är marknadsföring, vilket är den mest använda metoden i riket för att öka befolkning.

Background: Every year about 4600 nurses are examined in Sweden. The work as a nurse is responsible and she is often working under time pressure. Aim: To describe nurse?s understandings about her professional role during her first year after the examination. Method: Systematic literature review, where 10 scientific articles were examined.

The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine how family members perceive family support, and to gain a deeper understanding of how the relatives' part is affected by the dementia ill person. The result has been produced by semi-structured interviews with five respondents interviewed individually. The respondents who participated in the study, care for the dementia sufferer husband / wife at home, or the husband / wife has moved to a special housing. The result includes the perception of being a relative of a person with dementia, how they experience support from various parties, if there are any differences between men and women as well as the importance of communication and attitude. Overall it was shown that relatives often felt a sense of security and that they were satisfied with the support they received from the various parties.

När en person drabbas av en kronisksjukdom förändras hela livssituationen för den drabbade och deras familj. Syftetmed denna studie var att beskriva makars upplevelser i samband med beslut ompartners flytt till särskilt boende för personer med demenssjukdom. Studienbaseras på tretton intervjuer som analyserades med manifest kvalitativinnehållsanalys. Resultatet strukturerades i sju underkategorier och fyrakategorier. Dessa beskriver hur anhöriga, oberoende av kön, upplevde att tabeslutet om att flytta sin make/maka till särskilt boende för personer meddemenssjukdom som känslomässigt påfrestande.

This explorative study focuses on young, university attending males (22-27 years) and their understanding and pratice of the classic tail coat. It is based on five qvalitatively interpreted interwievs with a total of six participants, and through open questions regarding individuality and identicalness, limits and possibilities and inclusion and exclusion, a masculininty of a less contemporary hue takes shape. These conversations have revealed the tail coats potential of respresenting a male stereotype that can set a foundational and minimal standard for inclusion. Above this layer these males can then manifest and negotiate their masculine position in a homosocial hierarchy which decides the amount of passage, privilieges and confirmation of self- worth received for the wearer. These negotiation is performed by value bearing symbols (such as medallions, cordons and the like) allowed by the wearer and by the actions that systematically ensure that the lines of the tail coat are watched and unbroken.

A new curriculum, entailing news for teachers as well as students, was implemented in 2011. Among other things History has been given a more prominent position in that every student will now study the subject. Can this decision lead to history being used more in the future?The aim of this thesis is to study the new curriculum, Gy11, as well the Lpf94 and Lgy70, based on Klas-Göran Karlsson´s typology where the use of history is divided into seven different categories. I will analyze the curricula, looking at what different uses of history that can be discerned as well as what changes have been made over time.

An interview study of horsemanship has been conducted in the community of Ängelholm. The study is part of a larger project, where a further four students who are writing their thesis? have conducted interviews in Lerum, Hässleholm, Nyköping and Enköping, a total of 52 horse holders in 5 different communities. The collective results are summarised in "Hur hålls hästarna i Sverige och vilka är motiven" by Catharina Svala. The purpose of this larger report has been to examine why Swedish horsemanship is the way it is today through communication with the various horse holders.

This text answers the questions how do we define what a campus is, how the concept of the campus came to exist and how it is used today, and how the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) campus can be designed according to site conditions and the conclusions drawn from case studies at Chalmers University of Technology and Karlstad University. The purpose of the case studies is to gain insight into their campuses advantages and disadvantages. This finally results in an interpretation of how the Blekinge Institute of Technology campus can be planned. A campus is the area of land on which a college or university and its surrounding buildings resides on. Campus as a concept meant a field at first, it later evolved at American universities due to their design of college campuses.

This student report is about canine infectious skin diseases. It is primarily directed at veterinary assistans. The report includes a description of the skin?s structure and immunologic defences. The four types of allergic reactions are described. Different diagnostic techniques are also accounted for. The skin diseases included in the report are: fleas, lice, Sarcoptes scabiei, ringworm, Cheyletiella and leishmaniosis.

Arbetstillfredsställelse kan definieras som ?en positiv (eller negativ) evaluerande värdering av arbetet eller arbetssituationen? (Kaufmann, G.,  & Kaufmann, A.  2005 s. 269). Denna studie fokuserar på delaktighet,  arbetsinriktning, fysiska betingelser, lön, ledarskap och sociala betingelser som delar i arbetstillfredsställelse. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur extraarbetande högskolestudenter på lager uppfattade sin arbetstillfredsställelse, därför intervjuades nio studenter varav tre kvinnor i åldern 21-33.

Framför dig har du nu en studie som berör ämnet självbestämmande ur ett personalperspektiv. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ ansats där empirin har samlats in med hjälp av semistrukturerande intervjuer. De frågeställningar som ställs i denna studie är: Hur kan personal som arbetar med personer med funktionsnedsättning i sitt professionella förhållnings- och arbetssätt ta hänsyn till den enskildes rätt till självbestämmande? När personal och den enskilde har olika åsikter om vad som ska bestämmas för den enskilde, hur utvecklas då rätten till självbestämmande för den enskilde? Vilka normer och värderingar kan bli dominerande från personalens sida när oenighet uppstår mellan personal och den enskilde om vad som ska bestämmas för henom?Det viktigaste resultatet från denna studie är att personalen upplever en svårighet i att den enskilde ska bestämma själv och samtidigt få stöd och hjälp..

It is often challenging to create a new enrichment program for any animal. This is especially true with the additional challenge that I wanted to use only naturalistic enrichment, and I?m working with animals some of which are nocturnal. Even with a many hurdles, a little bit of enrichment can do a big difference and make a big difference in activity levels of the animals. Eskilstuna parkens zoo have a house called the MUSeum housing four kinds of rodents.

Abstract This essay is about the visibility of everyday life in a nursing home. The thesis is based on the following questions: What characterizes the social life and conversation between staff and residents? What content has the social life and the conversation between these parties? What is the power relationship between the staff and residents? To answer these questions, we used the qualitative approach with open observations, along with interviews. The study is partly based on direct observation by an observer as a participant in a special housing, and on semi-structured interviews with seven respondents, three of them staff and four residents in the same nursing home. For the results and analysis section, we use the Grounded Theory as a method which constructs a parallel between data processing and analysis of the interviews, where we first encode, categorize and create themes.
