The purpose of this study is to investigate a group of female converters and their subsequent experiences when transitioning to islam by bearing hijab. The study analyzes how this religious conversion has shaped and influenced the identity of mentioned women, as well as their attitude and relationship to the social environment prior to and after converting. This means that in accordance with the purpose of this study, an attempt to reveal the everyday life of these women will be performed. In order to make this study possible, three different methods will be put to use. A narrative method that touches upon the time leading up to and after the final converting and the impact of the conversion.

Evidens i praktiken - En kvalitativ studie om socialarbetares erfarenheter och attityder till Läkemedelsassisterad behandling. SammanfattningSyftet med denna uppsats var att återge socialsekreterarnas inställning till- och erfarenhet av att arbeta med läkemedelsassisterad behandling, samt få en inblick i hur deras arbete berörs av läkemedelsassisterad behandling. Kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes med sex socialarbetare som arbetade på tre socialkontor. Resultaten visade att attityder, erfarenheter och arbetssätt med LAB skilde sig åt mellan socialarbetarna. Socialarbetarna som beskrev negativa erfarenheter av LAB visade sig i mindre omfattning var involverad i arbetet med LAB i jämförelse med dem som beskrev positiva erfarenheter och attityder av LAB. De socialarbetare som var kritiska till LAB tolkade socialtjänstens ansvar i LAB som litet.

Mätinstrumenten OHIP-14 och -49 är de mätinstrument som används oftast för att mäta livskvalité.Syfte: Att beskriva livskvalitén hos individer med kronisk parodontit.Frågeställningar: Hur upplever individer med kronisk parodontit sin livskvalité?Metod: En litteraturstudie.Resultat: I resultatet framkommer det att livskvaliteten hos personer med parodontit påverkas påtagligt.

Background: Domestic violence is a globally widespread problem. One in three women will at some point during their lifetime suffer from domestic violence. These women, who come from all groups of society, often seek contact with health care and therefore the nurse plays a vital role in caring for these women.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses? experiences of caring for women subjected to domestic violence.Method: Literature review based on twelve original articles.Result: The result is presented in four main themes: Lack of knowledge and education, The nurse?s approach and attitude in the encounter with women who suffered domestic violence, The nurse?s emotional challenges in the encounter with women who suffered domestic violence and The nurse?s experience of identification of domestic violence victims.Discussion: Education is important on several levels for the nurse's work with domestic violence victims. Education is required in order to efficiently identify the women, manage emotional impact and to respond to women in a professional manner..

Många av oss kommer någon gång i livet att drabbasav depression och enligt forskning blir sjukdomen allt vanligare. Syftet var att belysabestämningsfaktorer rörande upplevd livskvalitet hos vuxna med depression. Metoden en systematisk litteraturstudiegenomfördes med induktiv ansats där 12 vetenskapliga artiklar utgör grunden förresultatet. Resultatet visade attsamhörighet, familjen och vården var faktorer som påverkade livskvalitetenpositivt. Samtidigt som ensamhet, vardagssysslor och försämrad sexuell hälsa bidrogtill försämrad livskvalitet.

The purpose of this thesis was to study the functions that music have in relation to the formation of identity, and research how this fits into the music subject in the school environment in Sweden. My questions were; (1) what role does music has in the formation of identity? (2) how does gender stereotyped musical identities take form? (3) what is the problems or risks with music education in relation to formation of identity? (4) how does the curriculum for the Swedish school relate to the functions that music have in relation to the formation of identity? I have done an analysis on three writers who focuses on theories about music in relation to the development of identity, to give perspective to the individual?s music reality. The first one is the Swedish musicology professor Börje Stålhammar, the second one is the Norwegian music therapist and professor Even Ruud, and the third one is the Brittish music senior master Nicola Dibben. I have compare their thoughts and found a great unanimity in many aspects.

This work is an essay on language, multilingualism, and identity. My purpose in this work was to try and explore how today's young people views in their native language, identity and language development in a multicultural society. I was also interested in how young people find a balance between two very different cultures. Since my work will be based on interviews, I have chosen a qualitative approach. My choice of the qualitative method is primarily related to my purpose.

Bakgrund: Rättigheterna för homosexuella personer har på senare år förbättrats, men inom vården förekommer fortfarande heteronormativa antaganden.Syfte: Belysa homosexuella personers upplevelser av mötet med vården.Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie. Nio vetenskapliga artiklar av kvalitativ karaktär analyserades.Resultat: Det framkom både positiva och negativa upplevelser i mötet med vården. Resultatet presenteras i de två huvudkategorierna ?Diskriminering och stigma? och ?Respekt?.Slutsats: För att fler ska få en positiv upplevelse i mötet med vården är det viktigt att som sjuksköterska vara öppen för olika familjekonstellationer och inte göra heteronormativa antaganden..

The purpose of this study is to find out how Swedish Muslim girls use Facebook and its functions in constructing their Muslim identity on the platform. The study is based on a qualitative method which consists of nine interviews with Swedish Muslim girls between the ages 17-23 and who use Facebook daily.The study is based on the view of Facebook as a scene where individuals can perform for an audience. I have used Erving Coffman?s dramaturgical perspective that explains why individuals appear in an appropriate manner to achieve confirmation from their audience. I also used theories about identity construction, community and the theory about how individuals create a social presence online.
