This is a report that goes through the design process of designing and illustrating a virtual clothing shop with the theme ?Stockholm Streetstyle? for the website ?Stardoll.com?. The purpose of the report is to examine how you can manage to get as close to designing a certain style or theme as possible, and also how the process of designing a clothing line can work, The illustrations were made in Adobe Illustrator and the final result of the project was an illustrated fashion collection with 21 parts, in the total of 6 outfits, and also a background for the shop. .

This diploma-work assess the public outdoor space. It has its starting point in, Ålidhem, a town district of Umeå. I have been studying public spaces in the outdoor environment. In this essay this refers to the spaces between the houses. What they are, what they contain, how they function and how they can improved.

The functional connection between the building and the Streetscape affects the city and its attractiveness. Stores located in shopping malls with their entrances facing internal walkways, creates segregation between the mall and the Streetscape. This segregation implies that the shopping mall loses some of its attractiveness, which may result in a so-called Greyfield mall. The expression Greyfield mall is used for shopping malls that have lost its visitors. Competition from new modern malls and a lack of investments are examples of factors that influence the development of Greyfiled malls.

Verket är gjorti spelet Crysis och är en fiktion av London på 1800-talet inspirerat av filmer som FromHell och Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Rapporten börjar med eninledning som förklarar var idén till verket kom ifrån, problemställning, syfte ochavgränsning. Rapporten fortsätter sedan med en beskrivning av verket, en mer detaljeradbeskrivning av idén, leveldesign, stämningen, exempelmodeller, hemsidan och trailern.Rapporten tar också upp enkätundersökningen som försökte ge ett svar på hur andrauppfattar stämningen i spelet och tankar kring det. Sista delen av rapporten är enslutdiskussion kring resultatet av enkätundersökningen och verket..

The purpose with this review is to investigate evidence-based practice (EBP), and which arguments are used to justify EBP. The year of 2006 Bergmark and Lundström published an article regarding the problems concerning EBP. They are discussing that several different definitions of EBP are existing, which they mean can lead to difficulties using the EBP-methods in real life. In this study six articles, from the years 2007-2011, have been analyzed using Mertons structure-functional theory and Lipskys theory of Street-level bureaucracy. Different definitions of EBP are discussed in the articles and there seem to be a need to clarify the concept.

En studie riktad mot fem lärares användande och definition av formativ bedömning i matematikundervisningen i årskurs 1-3. Utifrån genomförda observationer och intervjuer redovisas insamlad data med hjälp av konkreta exempel från det verkliga matematikklassrummet. Studiens resultat tyder på att samtliga deltagande lärare använder någon form av formativ bedömning i sin matematikundervisning. Majoriteten av lärarna använder det dock inte kontinuerligt i sin matematikundervisning trots att tidigare forskning belyser gynnsamheten av ett formativt bedömningssätt. En anledning till detta är att lärarna ser svårigheter i användandet av formativ bedömning i ämnet matematik för årskurserna 1-3..

This paper is about the facades and the Streets impact on theexperience of the city and how architects can create cities forthe human kind with simple tools that makes a hugh difference forthe experience of urban space.As the cities are growing in a faster rate and as more people moveto the cities, they will also affect more people. The differentstructures that can be found in the cities therefore gets moreimportant and giving design to city structures also gets morecomplex because of our higher demands on urban functions andcontent. It?s difficult to evaluate the ultimate city structuresince all people experience their city in different ways, butarchitects still should be able to create urban spaces thatis suited for the human kind, just as we can create differentbiotopes for flora and fauna. Therefore there must be generalideas of what the human being experience as good or bad and theseshould be guidelines when designing urban space.Since urban space is something that most people experience everyday it doesn´t always have a clear impact on them.

With this study, our purpose has been to achieve profounded knowledge and understanding regarding the use of discretion among social workers specialized in social allowance issues. The Social Services Act, structured as a framework law in the Swedish context, provides the social worker with a certain degree of discretion, in order to enable accommodated decisions depending on client case specifics. This study problematizes these aspects of legal security, and our intention has been to examine which factors impact the assessments social workers carry out in statutory decisions of social allowance applications. To attain this, we narrowed down our intention into a number of distinct and delimitated research questions: (1) Which elements of the client case impact the social worker?s assessment? (2) Which external aspects influence the social worker?s assessments and decisions? (3) How do social workers decide the client?s credibility? In order to establish answers to our research questions, we have utilized a qualitative approach of research by exerting qualitative interviews in addition to a vignette study.

The purpose of this study is to understand school counselors knowledge and work with cyber bullying among students. Our study is based on the result from eight qualitative semi-structured interviews. These interviews were conducted with school counselors working at elementary and high school in the state of Kronoberg, Sweden. Our theoretical base is human services organizations, Street level bureaucrats and acting space. Our study shows that school counselors have adopted cyber bullying in various ways which has an impact on their knowledge and systematical work regarding this question.

This study examines implementation from national law in to local practice in the district of Kalmar to assure newly arrived immigrants orientation in civics. The study takes its starting point in Lipskys theory about Street-level bureaucracy.  Questions that are discussed are about how  the education is understood by refugee?s coordinators, civic communicators and the new immigrates, how the organization has been and what role the demography and economic structures has played for the organization. It is a case study where interviews and enquete has been used.

Denna uppsats handlar om filmtrailrar, och mer specifikt trailrar som marknadsför 3D-filmer. Syftet är att lyfta fram ett till stora delar outforskat ämne och undersöka likheter och skillnader i konventioner mellan trailrar från 50-talet och moderna trailrar.Frågorna jag ämnar svara är: Hur marknadsför moderna, samtida trailrar 3D-teknologin? Finns det gemensamma konventioner och stilistiska grepp som är genomgående för dessa trailrar? Vad finns det för likheter respektive skillnader i konevntioner och grepp? Vad har förändrats i marknadsföringen av 3D-teknologin sedan 1950-talet?Forskningsfältet trailrar är till stora delar outforskat, men mitt arbete lyfter fram några studier som gjorts. Kernan har skrivit en bok om trailrar i allmänhetoch utformat tankar och resonemang om vad en trailer är. Hon utgår ifrån ett retoriskt synsätt och menar att det går att utläsa hur studior via trailrar "talar" till publiken.

Media has reported frequently about elder abuse in Sweden during the year of 2011. The authors have found an interest in elder abuse due to the attention about it and the law about the duty to report elder abuse, which is called lex Sarah. The aim was to investigate, due to quantitative method with surveys, the care givers tolerance to elder abuse, attitude and knowledge about lex Sarah. The result of the thesis was analyzed based on two theories, Lipsky?s Street-level bureaucracy as well as Svensson?s, Johnsson?s and Laanemets? theory about knowledge.

The purpose of this study was to look into the work of care organizers for elderly care, in three municipalities in southern Sweden, and how they use the law and local guidelines to evaluate the need for home care. The intention was to determine if presence of relatives makes a difference in the needs assessment and if the care organizers practice harmonize with the guidelines. To do this, we did a qualitative study alongside with analyzing each of the local guidelines. By interviewing five care organizers, we were able to see their side of elderly care and how they combine the law and local guidelines in their daily work with elderly care. Our main themes are, in short, the law and local guidelines, the view of care organizing and needs and also closeness to relatives.

Navigating to different locations isn?t always easy. Imagine then how it is for people with a visual impairment to walk across the Street or to get from one point to another. The Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired (SRF) has pointed out that today's society is not sufficiently accessible to people with visual impairment and there are improvements that need to get done. Technology is something that has evolved a lot this last decade and occurs today almost everywhere in our environment.In some areas, technology has facilitated people's daily life very much and we have therefore chosen to examine whether a combination of several technical functions integrated into the fictive artifact called Eyenavster can facilitate outdoor orientation and increase the accessibility for people with a visual impairment.Qualitative data collection methods have been used in this study by six interviews to answer our question.

Värnamo Elnät owns and operates a ripple control system which is used to control loadsespecially when the grid is heavily loaded and for control of Street lighting. This report aims atclarifying technical and economic aspects of the ripple control system?s future. The system wasinstalled from 1975 and onwards and its use was greater in those days when the controllableloads where greater then today, the current controllable load level is about 3 MW. The reporthighlights three different aspects of the ripple control system?s future ? retain the currentsystem, reinvest in a newer system or discontinue the system.In the report the author also discusses relevant connections to Smart Grids and future meteringsystems and tariffs.
